Sammy nodded. "That seems to be a rather respectable aspect for a couple in love," she looked as if she was going to laugh or snicker or something, but she stopped herself.

"I realize this is probably a subject you would normally wish to avoid, but is it hard for you and Ginji to maintain your relationship while still being comrades in Aqua?" she asked, recalling the several relationships that others had tried to start with her over the months.

"Of course not. Being in Aqua means we see each other more often." Maddy said, looking at Sammy. "Wouldn't being able to see each other more often strengthen the relationship? Not to mention we get to fight side by side. I'd say it makes the relationship more interesting, if anything."

"...Fascinating," she stated to herself, although she quickly shook off the curiousity to the subject. "I suppose working in a team does have its advantages, even if everyone here seems to think my idea for the future is unnerving," she commented.

"Humans are a race that is... sadly corrupt." Maddy said, adding a slight sigh. "But, it doesn't have to remain that way, as long as there are those who are willing to fight for a better future. If we were to sit around all day and do nothing, than yes, the brutality of the real world will come crashing down on us all. But now I'm really just blabbing on..."

"Exactly," Sammy agreed. "That is why I find it so odd that many of the Aquans are opposed to the world uniting under a common leader that would end corruption and try to better mankind, and pokemonkind," she decided to add the ending phrase to include hybrids and pokemon into the mix, seeing as she now had to consider herself one of them.

"The world doesn't need a leader. Put it this way, we don't need some person of high power to tell us what to do. We all need to start thinking and believing as one. We all need to believe that peace can be achieved. We can't rely on one person for the betterment of society. Peace isn't achieved by the act of one person. It is the acts of everyone meshed into one." Maddy took a deep breath. That was quite a mouthful. "I know it sounds like I'm ranting, but that's how I see it," she added.

"I can see where you would get that belief, but I'm afraid that I still differ," she nodded, realizing that trying to make her idea of one person, possibly herself, uniting the world would not get through to anyone in Aqua. She sighed inwardly, although she showed no outward signs of distress. A spark jolted from her shoulder to her ear, causing her to wince once more. Dammit, she needed to control that.

"Hmmm..." Maddy had noticed the spark. "May I suggest meditation? It helps to control yourself. When my powers were out of control, I took up meditation in my spare time to help control my emotion, because that's what fueled my powers. Maybe you should try it." Maddy suggested. "Come to think of it, I need to test out my control over my powers. I'd like to have control over that weird... pissed off me I turn into."

"Are you suggesting I lack self-control?" Sammy asked, a rather comical-looking eye brow raised to her hair line. "I am currently trying to control the electricity by being overly emotionless, and I actually find that I like the change. It's refreshing," she stated, although she would never meditate. Focusing her mind would just add stress.

"Yes, actually I am. Because why else would your powers be doing this? If you had control, you wouldn't have to worry about sparks." Maddy stood up and jumped down from the ceiling. "And I don't see how being emotionless would help."

"Emotions tend to make me angry, confused, or another such thing that will cause me to forget to monitor my actions," she explained, although she herself wasn't quite sure about her own diagnosis. She was hypocritical, though, because she gave Maddy the advice to go to the doctor and yet she refused to do so herself.

"Yes, but they also lead to happiness and such." Maddy crossed her arms. "Being able to control your emotions can allow you to control your powers, and fuel them. Take it from someone who knows."

Sammy thought it over. "I will look more into the subject and make my decision afterwards," she calmly decided. "But, until then, I shall continue to keep my emotions safely stored in the back of my mind. Besides, it is no concern of yours."
