Gin just smirked at the other woman's babble about coco. It probly took another medic to make that amusing. As it was she chuckled soflty.
"Gin Namida. And I'll stay over here. That voice, if i'm right, " she said indicating Aleron with a short jerk of her thumb
"Is the one that was bitten right? I'll keep well away from him." She said as she leaned aginst the counter. It was amusing to be asked who she was considering she had fresh bandages, a shotgun/medical bag holder and guns on her waist. Not to mention her clothing wasn't exactly fresh like all the others. She haden't found something to fit her yet.
"No offence" she added, since he had been polite. She wasn't trying realy to be rude.. yet. But she wans't going anywhere near him till they found out if he was infected offically or not. And even then she just would keep him at guns length. She sipped the nasty coffee wrinkling up her nose, her tail coiling around her waist a bit. It was surreal.. yesterday she was shooting the creature as she scavanged for food, today.. she was in the bright lights sipping coffee like it wasn't going on. Freaky..

Aleron blushed slightly at the comment. Boda was someone he highly respected, and would likely take orders from, even if he was higher then Boda. "Yeah? Cyro-tube malfunction, Bear?" he asked, going over the possible reasons he wouldn't be out there saving the place and kicking a** single-handed. Glancing at what Miya put down, his eyes widened a bit. It was a pair of glasses. When he was sure no one was looking, he swiped them quickly.

"I am guessing so. I can out of cryo probably about... two hours or so ago." Boda took another drink. "That's where I met Gin and she told me bits and peices about what was going on. Then we got into a fight with those nasty bastards." Boda shivered a little. "At least they're weaker than the Nel'thuagg, they just look nastier."

"Yeah, I think he might have been bitten. Though he got some wounds that looked like bite marks from his face mask...so he might not have been bitten." Shrugging, she added, "He wouldn't stay in sick-bay for the observation period, so I'm following him around until I know if he's infected or not."
Taking another sip of cocoa, she noticed Aleron reach for the glasses out of the corner of her eye. She turned to him and raised an eyebrow curiously, though she looked back to Gin before her look would draw too much attention to him. He'd tried to be sneaky...there had to be a reason.

Aleron nodded, laughing as he loaded the creamer into his coffee. They looked like two old war buddies. "You've got that right...honestly, these things freak me the hell out." he said, pointing to the bandages. "One of those suckers got me, too! 'Grabber', I think the others are calling it. I've got it in my lab right now for tests. Damn thing tried to ******** me....little more brutal then those old alien-jack-offs.." he said as he took a drink. He glanced at the two medics talking, and watching him. Oh, great. He'd bet they were talking about him being infected. Damn it all...

"Yeah, at least they don't shoot back." Boda's eyes widened a bit. "Well, I'll promise you one thing, if you turn I'll end it quick."
Boda laughed and took another drink. "So did you make landfall with the other HALO's and me when the Nel'thuagg got on that planet?"

Aleron grinned. "That they don't." He rolled his eyes a bit, though. "Ah, Bear. Not you too. There's no way infection is spread by biting, that girl you found is off her a** from the trauma. I can give you plenty of perfectly logical reasons why there's no chance." he said, laughing a bit.
"Hm, yeah. Though I got separated from my squad thanks to anti-air. Had to direct each member back to a rendezvous point, one by one, because they were too scared and sniveling to think straight or for themselves. I tell you, soldiers are going soft since that war. I remember back at the start, each and every one of my men would hammer through without more then a 'Hey, I'm alive. Proceeding to target zone'." he said.

Gin had slipped on the visor that Misha had offered her. It made things dimmer wich eased the pain in her eyes from such brightlights. However Aleron's talk about her being off her a** her fur bristled
"I am NOT off my a**" she snapped at him turning and scowling darkly at him. None of her guns were drawn but her fur was all fluffed up and she gripped the mug of coffee tightly
"Every singel person that I've seen bitten I later saw as one of those thing!" she growled out a low deep growl eminating in her chest an under tone to the angery tone she was saying.
"So don't give me that Mr. Experiment!!" she said taking a deep breath and leaning back aginst the wall. Clam down.. calm down.. she sipped her coffee once again.
"It's jsut a waiting game" she said in a more civil tone her tail lashing behind her angerly as she kept as far from Aleron as the room would allow her to be now

"Well, hell. I'd expect the same form you too, Aleron." Boda laughed. "Yeah, it's because the space military isn't planet soldiers anymore. It's all Navy and Air Corps here, not Army and Marines." Boda remembered some bits and peices of planetfall. "Yeah, I remember my Ranger platoon doin' some real good out there. But I remember the how the civilians looked after those bastards only made planet-side after a few hours. They looked like her." Boda said, pointing to Gin. "All screwed up."
Boda then leaned back in his seat. "But we lost alot of good men out there... Even more when we went boarding the ships and kicking down doors." His mind wandered through some of those distant memories.
Boda then looked at Gin after she yelled at Aleron. Boda didn't say anything. He let her be, she didn't need anyone hounding on her.
(I'll stay on for one more post then I gotta go to bed.)

So Gin was the person they'd found earlier while she'd waited for Aleron, eh? That could be rather helpful... "Um...Gin...what are the signs of someone being infected? And how long does it take for the symptoms to occur?" As she spoke, her gaze drifted from the Cathan to the scientist. If she knew what to look for...it would help so much. Though, she hoped she'd never see any of those signs...with everything Aleron was working on...she didn't want him to be infected, killed, and have all that research go to waste.

Aleron looked and his eyes turned fierce. "YOU'RE the one that threatened me!!" he said, standing and storming toward her. "I think you are off it! As I've said I can give you a list of perfectly logical reasons that biting is NOT the spread of infection through your ship! The fact that you've seen otherwise is pure chance, or by another creature, as my research will prove!!" he said, leaning over the counter. "And so help me on the off chance that I do turn, i'll be sure to bite into that fluffy little tail of yours and take you with me for your insolence, civilian!! Now learn some respect for your superiors, and shut that fluffy trap of yours before it gets you into trouble!" he ordered, panting a bit. He would stagger back a step and cough loudly into his hand, blood dripping to the floor. s**t!! he swore to himself...

Boda stood up, furious. "Leiutenant calm the ******** down! The more all of you ******** around and yell at eachother, the more we are ******** when we get out on mission!"
Boda took a breath. "Aleron, you know better than this. If there's barking to be done, let ME do the ******** hollaring! I won't think twice about booting my ******** boot into either of your chests, and Aleron you've seen me do it! Now sit the ******** down!"

Aleron winced at Boda's yelling, but fell to his knees, coughing more blood into his hands. He'd stare at the floor, shaking badly. "S-sorry sir. Yes sir. My mistake, sir." he said loud enough for Boda to hear. He didn't move yet, though, in case Gin would like to reply.

Boda walked off into the corner of the room, still pissed off. "Tell me when the commander gets in the room. I'm taking a ranger nap."
Boda looked at Aleron and saw him coughing up blood. "And one of you check him out but do it in here. If he fights with you about it, wake me up, if he starts to change, we all got weapons."
