i've neither seen nor read it. seems pretty... you can't go wrong with sword-and-armor'd femmes, can you?
...which for some reason reminds me of burst angel, which i've seen all of already.

It's sort of like Berserk meets Devil May Cry.

The Devil May Cry anime is sort of boring. I watched the first episode, or maybe the second as well, cant remember. But it was pretty boring. He just kills everything with seemingly little to no effort.

So... there's an insane amount of violence, demons, and lack of realistic physics?

Yeah, I watched the first episode and had absolutely no temptation to watch any more of it.
I can't remember being so remarkably unimpressed by an anime since Naruto.

well.. the very last scene where may? took up django? was good to see... it made enough sense. the scene right before that where jo died or went away into space or exploded in confetti; it's been a while since i saw it was annoying. what was more annoying how the chef guy was phased out in importance.

Meg ninja and mostly I wanted to know what happened with Jo, Sei and Ami.. because not knowing tends to bug me xp that is why I tend to like sequels, even when they seriously suck, they still answer the question of "What happened next?"
