*Probably to Kai's relief, Mastema's tendrils unwind and he pulls his hand out of her, returning his hand to normal* This device was originally intended for Thanatos.... however I no longer need it for him. Now let us see what effect it has on you. *Mastema reaches over Kais head and pulls down a dark metal face mask that hid Kai's entire head, blocking out the light* I will not spoil its purpose for you. *Mastema calls up a panel and the crucifix starts to "hum" to life, more or less preparing for a mind dive. The first step it took was "reawakening" most if not all of the minds memories. It would cause memory upon memory to crash back into a person's mind at the same time. This first phase was meant to overwhelm the person's mind so the sub sequent phases would be more traumatic*

*kaiori sighs softly as the box in her mind rattle, it was a spell to hold her memories away from her, she shuts her eyes tightly as her memories flood her head,...father... the temple...Galette...the shadow..blood...Pet...Sapph...the forest..BC...mother... Mastema...the new temple...Ceres...Xol..rape...Than...KB's father...Apollo......, only the worst and best filled her head, the rest was gone...after so many tricks and spells she had lost most of her past, this flood of memories didn't hurt her much too many had done it before, sure it hurt to watch but not much else* that..all you got ...

You know the answer. *As the machine progressed, it would try to detach Kaiori from reality and pull her into the depths of her own mind. True, many had altered and tore up Kai's memories, but Mastema, as usual, wanted to go a step further. He wanted to make Kai re-live the nadirs of her life and experience their breaking effects yet again. The machine would focus on one dreaded memory at a time and slowly pile them up on her. Reliving one experience after another, Mastema intended to completely shatter Kaiori, rebuild her, and shatter her again in an endless process*

*kaiori watches in a death like silence, no she wasn't dead but she seemed like it, her skin quickly faded to a perfect paper white, tears started to run down her face and behind the mask her eyes seemed to fog over*

*It was expected that one would become almost death like in their detachment from reality. Mastema couldn't see the tears, but he knew they were there.... and it gratified him greatly. The experiences would repeat continuously, one after another, for a time that most likely seemed like an eternity. When on the mind delver, one lost track of time. Eventually, the "reality" would fade and a new illusion would kick in. The experiences always started off happy, but then became twisted. Visions such as Kai hunting down a monster that had made her friends suffer only to find that she was facing herself would occur, along with visions of her friends and, as Mastema put it, "family" suffering at her own doings or the doings of another, as well as new visions of Kai suffering at the hands of people she held dear while their faces were distorted with horrifically, gratified, sadistic laughs and grins. Repeated in a cycle, these were meant to embed the images in her mind as if they were actually real memories. The person would know they were fake.... but the feeling was unmistakable*

*kaiori lets out small half screams but she clamps her mouth shut, her body trembles slightly and her nails dig into the metal under them, her chest heaves as her heart bangs in her chest*

"Right....Well,,guess I could pick a lock with it.Righty-O!Here I am!Rawr!!!" KB giggled as he rawred,and headed off in a run towards the city.Maybe something would block him from getting inside,maybe not.He knew if he was confronted by Mastema's army he'd have very little chance of making it past them.However,there was always a very slight chance that someone might be stationed nearby with a nuke or something else.Or that some wizard in the far corner of the world would make the world instantly implode.Either way ended in his very painful death,but at least he'd die in a default match rather then a loss.
It didn't take him long to get to the edge of the city.Of course,he charged onward.Hoping that he wouldn't run into a wall.

*Mastema just laughed lightly. Sometimes, he found it hard to control himself when he was doing something he enjoyed. The images would continue to circulate. Friend and foe would be seen causing Kai suffering while the friends would sometimes be the one suffering. If Kai was the one hurting the people, she would find herself unable to stop the process, as if she really enjoyed tearing people apart internally and physically. This whole process had taken several hours by now, an eternity for whoever was on that device. The mind delver would soon go into the final phase, something very cliche'. The final phase would start out with Kai simply floating in blackness. Then, in a flash, she would find herself right in the middle of whatever he greatest nightmare and fear were. By now Kai should be nearly of not completely detached from reality, allowing her to be "living" the nightmare at full force*
*KB would go unimpeded. For now no security was called*

*kaiori's body went stiff at the last phase, everything turned tight and her breath caught in her throat, but she didn't scream, she blinked softly and relaxed, but it was a different kind of relaxed..it was different feeling..one she hadn't felt before..*

"So far...so good..." The boy dropped into a steady quick walk.He entered on the same street his father always had,and proceeded along.He was following the direct path he remembered towards the main tower.He had no idea where to find Kai,but he thought that the tower was the best place to look.He remembered his father being at the very top once,and he shrugged.He would start at the bottom,if he recieved no response,he'd simply look for a window.

*The images would slowly fade, right after the climax of the nightmares. The first audible thing to Kai when she "awoke" would be Mastema's chuckle, which didn't last long. Mastema didn't say anything, just waiting for the experience to sink in. For now he left the blinding mask over her face*
*For now, KB was still unimpeded. However, that wasn't to say he was undetected. Zeno's repairs were finally complete, and he was checking himself over*

*Nana called up Zio, and had a select food item or two teleported from the cafeteria. Wide awake and aware, now both Trilla and Eecheb had watched their mother make magic appear by saying one word, "Zio". What it was, they would learn in time, but for now they needed energy. The children would be fed, one by one until the food was gone, and then the dishes they came in would be teleported away, via Zio again. Nana had noticed the children's teeth starting to come in. It would probably be somewhat painful and for a few days. Nana would have to find some sort of sensative gel for growing teeth, or perhaps she could find something else that might work*

Oh, you think it's easy do you Eecheb? Would you like to try first?
*Eecheb hits his chest, accepting the challenge and slides to the edge of the bed, then off to the floor and stands. By now most children could walk but they had yet to really try. Trilla did have some success the night before however. Once standing on th floor, Eecheb prepared to take his first few steps. Trilla was already getting impatient with how "slow" Eecheb was being and slides over to where he was. Eecheb starts with one foot, but then BAM, he starts running forwards. Trilla had kicked Eecheb's bottom from behind to give him a jump start. Eecheb runs, and then falls into Nana's waiting arms*

Trilla! What did I say about hitting?
Eecheb: scream Ahh! Hey!! . . . eek
*Eecheb looks up at Nana in surprise. He had cleared several feet from the bed and ran strait over to his mother*
Trilla: 4laugh He walk good now.
Eecheb: eek I do! . . . stressed Hey! You kick me!?
*Eecheb stands up again and turns to face his sister, help or no she did kick his butt afterall. Trilla laughes and slides to her feet aswell*
Trilla: whee Trilla walk too!
*Without the added push, Trilla starts out a little slower. Keeping her arms out for balance, she slowly starts picking up speed. Eecheb had to be picked up to keep him from chasing after Trilla*

Eecheb: gonk She hit though!
*Nana gives Eecheb a kiss on the nose*

*Eecheb was a little grumpy but then again he got a kiss on the nose, and as all children know, you don't argue with your mother because she'll always win*

*kaiori's light sobs break the silent air, her body felt tired and so did her mind, she was shivering but she didn't notice, her heart was slow and soft in her chest as she sat there*

KB didn't care much about anything.He was just going along.He knew a bit about Zeno,the thing and his father hadn't gotten along very well.However the boy didn't care.He liked androids and the type,they amused him.He could only hope to make his own one day,one that would be above all others.
Pushing his dreams aside,he focused on his current task.Still fiddling with the tooth as he sped along.
