Pets and familiars are approved of, but not needed. This depends on the character as some can attack with the user while others are almost an alter-ego of the person, based in another object or animal. It is up to the user to decide on just how tied they are to the pet/familiar, but must be outlined in their profile.
How attacks work
We're going to stick with good old Gaian style RP, and perhaps have the DM or a council make a judgement if it comes down to it. We'll also be using the original How to Win post. Said post will be a mandatory read for new RPers as it helps cover the basics.
More than one character
Persons have more than one character, including the DM. This is only allowed, however, if said person can handle several different stories and doesn't abuse this privilege. Of course NPCs that the DM makes do not count.
"adult" language
Following the Gaian ToS, profanity will be allowed but so long as it's not overboard or directed in an abusive manner in OOC. Simply saying, "What the ******** if your damn problem" is also fine, but an emphasis will be placed to keep things civil.
set post line ups
This is generally how things go, but while note in attack form, people can RP however they want so long as it's not double+ posting. This allows people to do their side-stories with others, without conflicting.
While attacking, those who are present will be given attack pattern orders from the DM. Should a person go missing for 1 day, that person is skipped until they come back. If they don't come back until much later, their character can either be resting at the same spot or carried by a party member, if someone's that kind.

ok what if everyone was aloud to choose two passives only? and that's it, for that one character -intelligence -speech -reduction of damage by 30%(?) -something combat related 1 -something combat related 2 and things like speech and int will just be in general, you're very good at talking, you're very smart (like Ishi said in terms of solving puzzles) stats aside, just as a passive instead
and the actual stats strength: extra damage added to your character's weapon (and without a weapon this is how hard you would physically hit) dexterity: how fast your character is magic: what level of "magics" you can use and how often you can use them (would have to work out the quantity as stat goes higher) (equipping a magical weapon will boost this stat so long as it's equipped) (does not determine magic damage, as this is shared with support magic) health points: everyone starts with 10hp, this is how much extra hp you start with (how many hits you can take before you become incapacitated or die)
so we'd have to give enough starting points to put a max of 10 into one of these, and like 5 into another (20 yea? or no) str 10 dex 5 magic 2 hp 3 (and are these stats agreeable in the first place? lol)
as for the story, I think who the guide is should be unknown until way later on because what if you're helping a bad guy lol, the new characters wouldn't know immediately, and that'd be pretty cool I don't think old characters should have stats, they should only have stats if our characters are going to fight them imo familiars/pets will be obtained later on, no one should start with one I think but everything else I agree with (I still don't understand the 6-6 dice roll thing)
I keep poking my head in, and so far I like where everything is going, when I dont, someone has usually pointed out the same thing I didnt like and you've worked together to fix it. I love where this is going so I keep my mouth shut while I await for it to start, keeping track of the conversations.
Tut, I might argue that Fuji, while the most inconsistent, is the oldest member of the GNA, but that's okay because he's kind of a wildcard and it's about time I retire him. I wouldn't even suggest bringing him back as an oldbie.

o hey glad you're still here and that's good to hear that we're making progress
would fuji be a good guy or a bad guy would you say, lol (I don't mean to detract from what was just posted but, real quick)
Passives are interesting, let's see what the others say.
I agree on the stat descriptions. For magic and other items/bonuses, it can be the stat +bonus+itemboost.
If the person does 6 dice, they get a total of 36 that they can possibly get (unlikely, but possible) and a low of 6 (also highly unlikely). The council or DM can decide to allow a person to re-roll if it's all under an average of 4 stat points. Example, even in the example you did he had an average of 5 points. That's including the already there 10.

Quite true, but the question remains on if he's still alive in this timeline even if he was to be mentioned?
I mean you could easily justify him still being alive with this kind of RP lol

That's a good question. The Fuji currently is still possessed, which is why he's alive still (8OO+ years lol) but Fuji himself is still a human and has been suffering alot of memory loss, narcolepsy, fatigue, and just general body pain lately in other RP's. I would say 100+ years you'd find him passed on, finally, if not he'd be a withered husk in some retirement home in a near catatonic state.
I was hoping to bury Fuji here at the GNA eventually since this is where he originated back in 04'. Might be that he is simply mentioned by a gravestone titled "The Foojster" as Reeve was always quite found of calling him.

I think that can be arranged. Graveyards aren't that odd to still be around after 100 or so years, especially with a group like ours.

I'm going to go ahead and say that I hate the idea of rolling for stats. YOu have to roll for enough things. You guys have a system mostly worked out, you need to stop complicating it and pull away from that and keep it simple. The simpler it is, the less people you will push away.
The MAIN worry you guys had was in attracting people. You should strive for making this the easiest and most enjoyable experience for both yourselves, and other people. Just take into account that with every hassle you add, you remove more people from your audience that will find an easier alternative.
Not saying don't do a lot of stuff, really. We agreed on a lot, but at this point we've built up so much that instead of making a big messy mass on top of if you should just help the dust settle from the construction just be did on it and sand down the rough edges.
o.o The 6-6 dice idea was yours, hun. That's why I build that in and gave the oldbies a higher roll chance.

no, Fen is right we're not giving oldbies favor keeping it simple is a good policy, and having starting points is fine our old characters won't need stats unless our current ones will be fighting them, and then we'll come up with their stats at that time play it by ear
btw fuji, what exactly happened with your character? I'm just curious
He'd just come in, usually beat to hell, since he was weak his demon would come forth and generally ******** everything up and often times disrupted storylines in progress because I was, at the time, really bad at melding into a story without being this huge storm of stupid s**t.
Fujiwara was a sensei level kaze user, a chunin in water, and chunin in Ijutsu and genin in shadow. His storyline is tragic, involving lots of murder, death, and general unpleasantness. It's time to let him go, or if I bring him back, mellow him out hella, like I was trying to do here.
