Soon Kuro broke the kiss and pulled out the ring box, him smiling. "Madden. I've wanted to ask this for years."
Soon it was a few hours from party time and Shiro left his house and transformed. His raven form was still larger than a normal raven's, but he liked it. It made him stand out as the elder. Soon the large raven and two guards who had also transformed took off into the sky and flew towards the castle.
Myra sighed and knocked on Jethrow's door. She hoped he wouldn't be mad. And that the scolding wouldn't take too long. She wanted to get back to Diablo.

Madden tilted her head, unsure of what Kuro was saying, before he pulled out the box. She covered her mouth as she gasped, glancing up at Kuro. This wasn't a trick, right? This was real?
Finally, Maria dashed out of the room, changed into her purple dress, and let down her very long, straightened hair, and dashed down to the room again. Just in time, too. Diplomats began to arrive, and she introduced herself to each and every one of them, offering them drinks and snacks and such while they waited for all the guests to arrive.
Jethrow opened his door by magic, not looking up from what he was working on on his desk. "Yes, Myra?" he said, smiling at his great-niece.

Kuro smiled and got out of the booth to kneel beside her. He opened the box to reveal a gorgeous ring, and he only smiled. "Madden, will you marry me?"
Shiro and his guards soon arrived, landing out on the large balcony of the dining room. The ravens cawed some as they landed. The two guards landed on the railing as the larger one landed on the balcony itself. But Shiro then changed back into human form. His hair had grown and he had it pulled back in a braid. His robes were golds and emeralds, all covered in a cloak made of his own black feathers. As he headed inside, the guards transformed as well and followed him in, their elder smiling as he joined the party.
Myra came in and closed the door behind her, and she sighed. "Uncle.... I... I've been practicing blood magic..." she mumbled guiltily.

Madden wrapped her arms around Kuro's neck, kissing his cheek and then burying her face in his neck. "Yes!" she choked out.
Maria was still greeting diplomats when one of her many assistants came and whispered urgently in her ear. "The diplomat from that little village--Shiro I think his name is--just made a grand entrance on the balcony. Do you want to--?" "Tell him that the entrance is over here, and that it would only be proper to introduce himself. If he chooses not to, well... I'll decide where to go from there." The assistant nodded and scurried off to convey the message while Maria continued to meet and greet.
Jethrow sighed softly, dropping his pen and rubbing his forehead. "I'd hate to say I'm not surprised, but it's the truth. I've known you had the power in you, and I know that power equals temptation. But I must warn you... This is dangerous magic. I ban it at this school for a reason. So, think Myra, do you really want to continue practicing it?"

Kuro smiled and held Madden as she buried her face against him. He then took her hand and slipped the ring on her finger before kissing her sweetly.
Shiro listened to the messenger and sighed some. "Now that's no fun. So stingy this planner is..." he said, going around to the proper entrance and entering from there. That was no fun. No one saw his grand entrance on the balcony. Oh well... Maybe next diplomat dinner.
Myra nodded some to Jethrow's words. "I-I do... I only use it for little things. Tiny creatures. I wouldn't do anything to put anyone else in danger. I-I promise Uncle!"

Madden kissed Kuro back, relishing in the feeling of the ring weighing down her finger.
Maria had just shaken hands with whom she assumed was the last diplomat, when the messenger came round to tell her that the raven would be coming and they were still waiting on two others. Of course, as she said that, the two others appeared, and Maria conversed with them for a little bit. Then she saw the raven diplomat. She swallowed, looked away, and politely excused herself from the other two, ushering them into the hall. Then, she turned on the raven, arms crossed. "Next time you want to make a grand entrance, don't."
Jethrow gave Myra a small, reassuring smile. "Then I have no choice. I'll have to teach you how to use it myself. I warn you, this is hard magic. You'll have to make sacrifices in order to learn it. I already teach classes, run this place, and have hundreds of other students. I'll probably have to teach you on late nights, and you'll have to continue your normal activities as well."

Kuro smiled and soon broke the kiss, looking to his new fiance. "Are you happy, my love?"
Shiro laughed softly and adjusted the jeweled gold band around his head some. "So stingy. Mesilici has changed since I last attended. And you've changed as well, Maria. But you look good." he said, smiling to her. She probably didn't remember him, and he didn't blame her. He had been sealed off from the world as he learned to be the position he is now.
Myra nodded some, agreeing to the terms. She thanked Jethrow before going out to the gardens to pass the news on to Diablo.

Madden laughed and nuzzled Kuro. "Of course I am!"
Maria raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe I have ever met you. Now, if you please, let us go inside, before I lose my temper." She turned angrily, walking into the dining hall and smiling at her guests, who were socializing. She called over an assistant, and asked her to keep an eye on the raven, before she headed to the front. "Thank you everyone for coming! I hope you'll enjoy the food, the entertainment, and the social atmosphere!" she smiled and started to go back through the crowds, talking to the diplomats. The lights dimmed and a troop of acrobats came on the stage, while more food was set on the tables that were set up through the room.
Diablo was waiting for Myra to show up, holding a rose in his hands as he bit his lip.

Kuro only smiled and sat her back in the booth and shared food and kisses with her.
Shiro sighed as Maria snapped at him. Yup. She didn't remember. He sighed again as the lights dimmed. He went over and asked if they had any kind of noodles. Sadly they didn't. He thanked them as he grabbed an apple, watching the acrobats. Though they were good, he could do far better. Such low level talent. This wasn't as fun as he'd thought it would be. The raven just resorted to staring out a window as everyone else socialized.
Myra soon showed up and smiled to the demon. "Hey there. Did I keep you waiting long?" she asked, kissing his cheek.

Madden smiled and cuddled with Kuro, sharing a rather delicious tart with him.
An assistant came and told Maria that the raven diplomat wasn't socializing. She sighed, grabbed a drink, and headed over. "Is there anything I can get for you?" she asked politely, putting a hand on the raven's shoulder. She felt as though this was something familiar, but she dismissed the feeling. She'd never met him before.
Diablo smiled and kissed Myra, putting the rose into her hand. "Not at all. Come on, let's eat," he said, taking her hand and leading her to the fountain he'd set the food up at. He poured her some champagne, and offered her some food.

Shiro glanced to her and shrugged her hand off. "No. I originally came for this little party, hoping to find the girl I made leave me as I trained for this position. And after years of hoping to see her again, she brushes me off like I am just some common pigeon. I will be leaving early. There is nothing here for me as I had hoped." Shiro said, looking back to the window. He had hoped Maria would remember him at least after meeting him twice. But probably not. He was lost to Maria's memory. Nothing more than a moment in her life long past.
Myra smiled and tucked the rose in her hair before following him to the food, where she smiled more. She sat next to him and began to eat, occasionally sharing food with the demon.

Maria frowned and shook her head. There was no way he was talking about her, and she bit her lip. "I know everybody in this castle, I'm sure I could find her. Please, let me help," she said, moving to stand in front of him. She'd been irritated before, but now she just felt bad for the guy.
Diablo cleared his throat, a signal for the two dragons. They floated down to land on the fountain in front of Myra. Diablo knelt down in front of her and took her hand, while taking the box from the dragons and popping it open. "Will you marry me, Myra?"

Shiro sighed again. "Her name was Maria. She came to my village, we shared a meal of noodles. She cured my darn curse... But I doubt she remembers me anymore. After all, she shooed me away like I was some common fowl." he said, looking to her before looking back to the window.
Myra was enjoying a cute little tart when Diablo got down on his knee and proposed to her right there. She paused, the tart dropping from her hand, it bouncing back down to the tray. She then smiled and tackled the demon. "Of course! Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Maria frowned. "I'm the only Maria around...No, no, no, no," she said, holding up her hands. "I haven't left this town since I got here. I've never met you before--I'd remember you if I had. I would...No, you must have it wrong. Maybe it was Myra? Madden? Not Maria..." Maria frowned, straining to remember him. But she couldn't. She just couldn't.
Diablo grunted in surprise, catching his now fiance and smiling, hugging her. He slipped the ring onto her finger and pulled her close, tucking some hair behind her ear and kissing her.
Meanwhile, Madden felt a shiver go down her spine, a bad shiver. She frowned, but shrugged the feeling off, going back to cuddling with her fiance.

Shiro only sighed as Maria denied knowing him once more. He then got up from his table. "That is my cue then. I will send what ravens that want to come here, but I'm afraid I am no longer needed here. Goodbye Maria. I'm sorry you could not remember. Gramps would be disappointed." he said, heading for the door, getting his cloak from one of his guards. If her mind wouldn't remember him, then he would go on without a love.
Myra smiled and looked to the ring before kissing the demon, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Kuro looked to his love, feeling her shiver. "Madden, what's wrong?"
