I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that thought Spice was worse! A lot of people recently have been saying Sugar literally gets, at best, half the experience per kill that Spice gets, but while I was still playing, I think it was the other way around. I also played in the slower wee hours of the morning, so I didn't feel like I got targeted as often while I was Sugar during that time frame. I also didn't get hung up over switching teams, I just leveled whatever I was when I happened to be playing for the day, and it worked out pretty well in the end.
Yeahh, that'd be me. I already have to contend with my cats, though, so I've always kept most of my consoles in an entertainment center with doors I can close, which means I have most of the work to lock them away done already. ^^; The book idea is pretty solid, though! If you have a library close enough, maybe a trip down with the clan could be in order? And comics might be helpful for expanding the older kids' vocabulary; easier to figure out a word in context with pictures to reference, but won't seem like you're patronizing them with material that's meant for those beneath their age group. (And maybe if you happen to find any books by John Bellairs, they're meant for kids about age 10-12 years, but I still read them as an adult, they're great books. Ghosts, monsters, and adventures, what's not to love?)

Queen Spazzy I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that thought Spice was worse! Meanwhile with Sugar I had only a smaller 90+ kills and 950+ heals, so really it seems more like Spice got the rough leveling up system everyone says Sugar has.
Today the many children clan comes late tonight with their parents, their dog, and their parent's friend Vincent along with his own dog. After they show up Mike is going to load me down with their plans of finding a place tomorrow but tbh I may in one ear out the other cause idfc really I'll be too distracted watching how kids act about the house & moving things about to really listen honestly. xp

My team is Spice right now, so I have those stats available as 271 kills and 751 heals at level 20; Sugar should be less than half of each of those, and I quit JUST after hitting level 20 for each. Edit-to-add: I'm Sugar now, and I had 70 kills and 127 heals for level 20; less than a third of what I needed for Spice. Spice was pain. There's a theory floating around that whichever team you chose at start got boosted exp gain, but I started as Spice, so I don't know if the theory holds water. Maybe whichever side is winning at the time actually gets the exp buff? Because Sugar was JUST ahead for half or more of the time I spent playing on that side. I dunno, these events always seem to break part way through every time they roll around, so I'm not sure what anyone really expects. ^^; (And I know for a fact that Spice is at least partially busted because when you attack a Sugar there's no one-hit KO protection for them, but Sugar attacking Spice DOES have the protection applied forcing you to use extra attacks against low level players even when your attacks usually generate more damage than the player's health pool.)
Well, uh, good luck with that whole mob of people? At least they're bringing dogs, dogs are a plus. Just remember to smile and nod occasionally! They'll never know you're not paying attention. cat_razz
