Kuro looked to the man and looked away as he got to his feet. "Just stop. You people are cruel enough. You're already taking her from me! What else do you want from me?!" he snapped. His heartbreak had gotten to him and he had gotten his dosage of pain and he'd finally broken under it. He had gone through this whole temple for her, just to have her taken from him. It just wasn't fair.

The man looked offended. "You think I am against you, brother? I was on your side. I will give you a hint. Your current incarnation has a sister, yes? Think of her." Black smoke swirled around the man, and he disappeared. "Only a few moments left," were whispered from the darkness, and Madden began to grow pale. [OOC:] I think we have ourselves a new villain.

Kuro listened to the man and watched him disappear before hearing the whispers. Current incarnation? Sister? Wait a minute... Maria!! "Thank you! I'm sorry!" he called to his apparent brother before bolting out of the temple. He then grabbed his shed clothes and tossed them into the carriage. He made sure the fire was out, locked the carriage doors, then got into the driver's seat. He then sent the horses off as fast as they could go. He had to get back to Mesilici.

Meanwhile, Maria was meeting with Jethrow, and after discussing her plans with him, he approved. He put her in charge of foreign affairs, and then handed over a list of the foreign students, so she could get to work on correspondence with their homes.

Kuro pulled up to the front gate and hopped off the carriage and ran inside. He started frantically looking for Maria. He soon found her and pulled her aside. He first apologized for interrupting her, but he then explained the entire situation to her, hoping she could help.

Maria listened to Kuro's story with increasing worry. But when he asked for her help, she opened her mouth to say she didn't know, putting a hand on his. The moment her hand touched his, all her thoughts and feelings about Shiro bubbled to the surface, and she recoiled. A voice whispered, unheard to Maria, "Take it."

Kuro heardthe voice, feeling all the things she felt for Shiro. But this voice... He didn't trust it so he ignored it, looking to Maria. "Please Maria. Please. You've got to help me." he pleaded with her, looking into her eyes, his full of desperation and pain. He needed Madden by his side. He'd give his left arm for her. Of course he was completely ignoring the wound on the side of his face.

"Use the love. Take it away. Restore her." Maria took hold of her twin's face, shaking her head. "We're getting that checked on, first. I'm sorry, Kuro. I don't know what to do," she said, biting her lip hard. It looked like both the twins were out of luck.

Kuro still pushed the voice away from his thoughts as Maria grabbed his face, meaning the wounds around his eye. He nodded a little and sighed deeply. "Thanks anyway..." he mumbled, going to the infirmary, downhearted and feeling alone.

Maria dashed after Kuro, stopping in front of him. Then she froze. In fact, everything froze. And the man appeared again, shaking his head. "Apparently you need a bit more than my hint."

Kuro straightened as everything froze and the man from before reappeared. The prince blinked a little then sighed. "Top of my class and I can't figure out a simple riddle... And... I'm sorry for yelling at you..."

"It's quite all right. I have never been a favorite amongst the gods. Most people greatly dislike me." The man put a hand on Maria's frozen shoulder. "You felt it, didn't you? Her pain? She's your sister. Wouldn't you like to help her?"

Kuro looked to his sister, sighing some. "I... I didn't know... I thought the voice was trying to trick me... " he mumbled. Now he felt like an idiot. He gently touched his sister's shoulder, sighing. He hoped this would work.

The man shook his head with a wry smile and disappeared. Time started again, and Maria jumped a little, seeing her brother's hand on her shoulder. For a moment, all her mind could concentrate on was Shiro, but then... She blinked. What had she been thinking of? Oh right! Infirmary! Madden and Kuro's trip...Madden...
Madden was standing right beside Kuro. She was frowning, quite unhappy that Kuro had allowed himself to get injured and that he was stalling on their way to the infirmary. "Stop being distracted! That needs to be checked!"
"You've done well."

Kuro was about to question what had happened when Madden suddenly spoke, making him jump almost out of his skin. He looked between the two as he heard the voice. Maybe now he could relax and be with his love. First, infirmary, which is where he let Madden drag him to.
