But then again, I've never been involved with someone long enough to even consider it. I suppose it is one of those things that you have to experience to get the full impact of it. Until it happens, it is just a silly procession to me. I understand completely. lol As odd as that sounds for a married woman to say... but my (now) husband and I were already best friends, living together and everything else... so one day we sat down and decided we might as well get the tax break too. -sage nod- Glad to see that it was based on mutually exclusive benefits. Sex, mutual society, and ("She makes me Food!" says the husband reading over my shoulder) the shared responsibility for home and family... all in all it's nice. I don't even have to pretend to be nice to him when I've had a bad day... ("Entertainment!" <-- Hubby) If someone voluntarily made me delicious food regularly, I'd highly consider marriage. I wouldn't even care if there was no sex or anything else. Food and mutual interest in stuff so we can do stuff together and have good conversation. (Right now things are a little crazy while I work full time and my husband is working out his schedule but usually...) I home cook everything, do all the laundry, clean the house, work part-time. The hubby's favorite dinner is currently stake, buttery mashed potatoes, stir fried long stem green beans, with sparkling grape juice and pistachio pudding for desert. To be followed by a game of Settlers of Catan or Skyrim and out shared Pandora station.
