(Entering AND exiting -- damn I love to multitask)
That. Damn. Screeching. Apparently, it was like her kryptonite or something.
It was the buzz at her belt which had caused her to come back to reality, her mind jolted as if with a defibrillator. When Petra opened her eyes, there was chaos. Once again, there were creatures everywhere, monsters running to unset traps, and the screeching one was tangled in the chains, trying to escape. Phoenix had jumped into action, proceeding to attack those who were trying to unset the traps to let loose the rest of the monsters, and undo all of their work. Immediately, she responded in turn, rushing towards the fight, Cain already swung back to attack the closest target. But the second and third buzz quickly followed, and by that time she had sensed the urgency. Cursing under her breath, Petra slowed to a stop, dodging a stray hunter attack before unclicking her cell from her belt, staring blankly at the phone.
Accept.

Aisa was sizzling. Partially due to the retreating hunters .. but also to the fact she was late late late. She never minded being late .. except in the single circumstances that there were hunters. Her scythe swung over the field with a scream, her face tilted upwards. She radiated a multitude of emotions form her lone figure-- vengeance, rage, regret .. A little bit of everything was in there.
Who was she?
She was pissed off.
"I'm late." The statement wasn't really a statement yet it sort of was. The bitterness in her tone laced with a frigid coldness, flat with the emotion of death. A missed death. Aisa was never late. Aisa never missed her appointment. She was always punctual. Always.
"Connie. I'm late." Her normally iris eyes, slitted as she looked back at the heir of Conquest.

"S-Soul Harvester . . .?" Was she the one who they had seen before, the one who had whispered in his mind "like we rehearsed"? Why was she called that? Whose souls did she take? Mortimer gulped, hoping it wouldn't be theirs . . . Maybe that was the end result if they Did It Wrong.
Or maybe they would end up captured too. At the boil's mentioning of that, Mort's eyes narrowed. Was that where Whisper was now, in the tent? Was that why she wasn't there? If it really depended on them getting the traps done quickly, then . . . The zombie aimed a quick kick at the trap he had disabled.
One clang later, and he was on the floor nursing his foot by Mei. Their uniform, while stylish and glowy, was not exactly made of tough material.
"Don't like this," he said after the doll's exclamation, nodding somberly; he would want to ask about these other field trips later, when this was all over. "Just want Whisp and LW here. 'N everyone else." He rubbed his foot gingerly, wincing as he noted some of his toes were probably curled a little inward now from the kick. Good job.
Sigh. "Not very good death knight . . ." Maybe he wasn't a "liberator" after all. A real death knight would be gunning his way through the tent like an awesomesauce, freeing everyone with one fell swoop while these hunters sank to their knees and begged forgiveness.
Just before decapitation.
"Um, Mei? Can . . ." He paused, then glanced towards his teammate. "Can Mort has a pill? In case find Whisp hurt?" He'd seen that she apparently had a healing FEAR, the lucky ghoul; and knowing him, he might just need it to stay in the game as it was.

The story thus far.. Hunter trainees and students were taken to a room where time was held at a standstill. When they were released, they found themselves confronted with a very familiar scene: the hunter back yard encampment and a recently captured Soul Harvester. This was not a simple case of deja vu, but rather a do-over created through a deal between the Harvester and the mysterious Clockwork. The senior hunters appear to have no idea that time was manipulated in such a manner. A battle began to take place, and the students, having run through this particular warzone before, now had a much easier time of it. But before things could really heat up...the Hunter Trainees got an new command, via text, and were transported out of the area for what was revealed to be an ambush on the other students who were taken through through the door of Space. Will the altered turn of events result in tragedy or a victory at last? THE GAUNTLET REDUX: ROUND 2: As the last student disabled the final traps, something visibly shimmered in the air around the tent. Though there was no other noticeable difference, though with the sudden disappearance of the majority of hunters, the victory seemed lackluster. But, finally...finally...could they dare to hope - and what lay beyond the tent?
'GO NOW!' It was the urgent shout of the Soul Harvester that snapped the students back to the now,
They did not need a second prompt: those that could stand ran for the tent.
But there are consequences when it comes to the manipulation of time, what was once a near escape can turn into a very different encounter altogether. Before the Soul Harvester could step from her chains, a glowing green bladed chain wrapped around her throat. "Not...so fast," The doctor's voice was low but carried clearly. "Things appear to be coming to a head, my dear, and while Caelius may harbor a fondness for harnessing things beyond his control, I'm a rather different sort. A shame it has to be this way but..." The chainwhip pulsed with an acidic green glow and the man pulled. Her body dissipated before her head could hit the ground. Behind him, his assistant stood at the ready, portable containment unit on hand and ready.
At first it looked like their complete success, as the Harvesters FEAR particles were drawn into the box and it snapped shut. "Now where..." but H didn't have a chance to finish, the box rocked and pulsed with a frantic glow. It began shaking to hard, Clarice's grip began to falter, her whole body being thrashed about by the erratic box. In a move of desperation, the assistant threw the box up into the air, and there it burst with a blinding light. As vision returned to the field, small pieces of dust drifted down on the fighters below.
"Well ********..." The doctor stared up in severe annoyance, and wondering idly if Caelius would blame him for this and if he would have to listen to him b***h more than usual for the next few weeks. Clarice, in the meantime, had summoned her sword and was calling for back-up.
"Requesting Moon Squad 12, right away. No...no, we need it now. And a change in our return parameters as well."
As quickly as the trainees had disappeared earlier, a new set of hunters appeared between the students and the two Life Hunters at the tent.
Moon Squad 12 HP: 650 "Defend the entrance."
GAUNTLET ROUND 2 RULES: - Please note, if your student is just now entering the field, they were in time to witness this scene. - You MAY use Pumpkin Pills for this gauntlet run. - If your HP hits 0, you will dissipate regardless of the situation and end up back in home base, where you will be grounded there for the rest of the metaplot . - You can post more than the requirements, but please keep them minimized as to not overwhelm the GMs. - Pins are still a little wonky, thanks to the FEAR energy from the Soul Harvester's Final Death: you are free to rp out your students Natural form or regular student form (but the rolls and results are still the same). Make sure to clearly mention in your third post what your character looks like (natural or sealed), or a brief idea of it so the Hunters know how to explain it while they are targeting! - BOOS: YOU HAVE THE SAME OPTIONS AS THE STUDENTS.
IF YOU HAVE JUST ARRIVED:
ROLL A 100-sided dice: - If you roll 10 or less you will take - 5 damage from the initial traps. You may attempt to leave this area up to three times this round. Each failure is -5 hp. - If you roll higher, go up to the trap area and follow that prompt.
IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE BATTLEFIELD:
- GO UP TO THE FREAKING TRAP AREA AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE NEXT SECTION. YOUR WAY SHOULD BE CLEAR TO DO SO. Or just linger around uselessly if you feel thats more IC for your character.
IF YOU WERE DISABLING TRAPS ROUND 2:
- You find yourself with a choice, you can try to force your way through the defense oriented Sun Hunter Squad at the entrance or...try to sneak in through the back. You may attempt to attack or sneak up to three times, combined. (So no three of one, three of the other business.)
At the front you find: a group of eight hooded men and women, weapons glowing and at the ready. However they do not choose to attack, only defend. This concentration makes them both a safer target, but also a very sturdy group.
To attack: Roll your normal or FEAR (if you have some left) attacks against them as per usual, and RP it out. Be sure to subtract the HP from their combined HP pool, so as to help people not have to go through pages and doing extra MATHS. With a group like this, you can't just take one down, you need to weaken them all. If you knock their HP down to 0 you and everyone else may enter the tent or stay and fight the now unprotected Dr. H and Clarice in the next round.
note: Horseman AOE damage will have a x3 multiplier against the group.
To sneak: Roll 1 d10. If you roll a one, congratulations, you may exit to the tent. If you roll anything else, you got caught by either Doctor H or Clarice and poked/whipped from a distance for -5 HP.
Form:
ROLL NUMBER HERE
Rped out post: Rp it okay. HP: List your HP pool and keep track of it. IF YOUR HP IS ZERO YOU ARE DISSIPATED, MAKE SURE YOU CALCULATE YOUR HP ACCORDINGLY FROM LAST ROUND. Battle Status: (In your last post choose either CAUGHT IN LASERS, SNEAKING, ATTACKING, KO'ed, or HEAL), depending on your last roll.
Hunter Group HP: if attacking the wall of tanks at the entrance.
IF YOUR HUNTER WAS ON THE FIELD AND NEVER GOT TO MAKE AND EXIT POST. JUST PUNT THEM TO THE SPACE ROOM, DONT WORRY ABOUT AN EXIT POST.
IF YOU HAVE YET TO POST A HUNTER HERE. JUST PUNT THEM TO THE SPACE ROOM. Mechanic Update For this battle, is you use Tainted Fang, please just subtract the total damage it would have done over time to the boss HP. A horseman's regular attack counts as an AOE.

Talk about deja vu... Wasn't he just here?
Yuki didn't have time to think about the how or why; just as last time there were things going down that meant he couldn't stay idle to ponder. He broke out in a run toward the direction that everyone else was struggling toward, hoping that this time he could do more than simply take up space.

Their whole group was here except for Whisper! Why didn't the hell-hound arrive here with them? Did something happen after the light back at the hub? Did she somehow get transported somewhere else? So many questions, without answers!
Planting her face frustratedly into her palms, Mei muffled out a few curses she had saved up overtime. These hunters..what was it they wanted? Why would they take her fellow students? Not knowing their fates was enough to make the doll ill.
"W-what? Oh--" Nodding to Mort, she reached into her pack and pulled out the second pumpkin pill and handed it to him. "Careful..I'm not sure how everyone will fare after all of this.." They would need to be sparring with these pills. Herself, on the other hand, could rely on her FEAR for healing..even healing one of her allies if need be.
Lifting her head, her attention was drawn to the tent as something shimmered in the air surrounding it. "What is--" GO NOW Snapping to attention, Mei nearly jumped up from where she sat.
Now was as good as any a time to make a run for the tent. Most of the hunters had left--the advantage was theirs. Wasting no time; she moved toward the tent, only to come to a halt when the doctor caught the soul harvester and..decapitated her? "Oh Jack..!" Placing a hand over her mouth, she took a few steps back and watched the scene in horror before looking away entirely. Well s**t..
Charging the tent was a good idea at the time..now, she wasn't so sure. Knowing that the doctor could easily decapitate someone was enough to keep her at bay for the moment.
Whatever had happened after that, Mei had missed it completely. It was only the blinding light that had her look back when all had dimmed.
Reaching out her hand, she watched in awe as the dust filled the air, drifting down like snow from Christmas town. (Another past trip she despised.) What happened? Was this, the soul harvester--er, her remains? More confused than when this had all began; she was at least pleased to see that this had backfired on the two hunters. It was kind of amusing even.
Requesting Moon Squad 12, right away. No...no, we need it now. And a change in our return parameters as well.
Well..that didn't take long..Why couldn't things run smoothly for once? If they were to get to Dr.H and his assistant before entering the tent together--they would need to go through this group first.
Lunging towards the large group, she struck out at them with a low kick.
....
This would take a while..

The chaos erupting around him was startling. Being late to the 'party' before, he couldn't rightly know if everything was following the same path for the most part or if things were going differently... For the better, or for the worse.
It seemed promising, when the distinct lack of the Hunters allowed an easier time in crossing the field. However, the sudden flash of bright light had him closing his eyes against it, and the cloaked figures that had appeared in front of the tent didn't look familiar in the least.
As he drew closer Yuki decided it best to just... Try and slip by without notice. Just maybe these strange humans would somehow be distracted enough to not expect someone to just stroll on by. Stranger things had happened. Very recently, in fact...

Leonard was floating about, rather angry at the fact that he had completely missed, when the boil disappeared. In fact, several others disappeared. He flew toward the area where there were people, grumbling to himself as he went along.
One individual stood out to him, a man now armed with a green rope-like object. Even from a distance Leonard recognized the evil creature that had tormented him while he was trapped in the tent, and this time he chose to steer clear, instead heading for the nice large group all bundled together. Charging forward he was bound to hit something and he felt the satisfying thud of his head meeting someone before he floated up, trying to regain his senses.

89 Getting past trap roll 1Rped out post: ((Entering from Domain of Time)) The first thing he'd noticed was the feeling of change. His pin was not working! It took a few moments of concentration, but he held his humanoid form. Not that he noticed the extra feathers sticking out here and there. They were of little concern anyway. Just what was going on? Some students went charging ahead like they knew what they were doing. Should he follow? Should he stay? What was needed of him? Before he could work anything out, things happened. Even he could see that these things were not good. Something had just died, and he had a feeling it had been on their side. And then...who were those other things running around? And now there were more? Did they seem familiar? Just what....? One thing was very clear. He couldn't just stand there. He had to move. He had to help. Draven took off toward the other students. The attack left her buckling at the knees, orange eyes searching the commotion for what source could have sent a battlefield-wide attack…and when they met with an unfamiliar hooded figure holding a whip, the monster groaned.
Whips were sexy any other day. Just…not today.
Luckily it wasn’t enough to slow her too much, as the trap gripped between pale white fingers fell apart; one less that they had to worry about. The battle continued around them, students (Like Bea…!) being tackled left and right, the glow of foreign weapons finding her a suitable target through the uplifted dust and debris that floated through the air. Natalia simply watched from that point on, dumbstruck by the commotion with an uncertainty that showed clearly on her drooping face.
She motioned to speak to Mort, who had come within a close distance to Mei and herself…but was silenced by a secondary vanishing act preformed by the humans across the field. It was, at first, baffling. But after the third human disappeared, Natalia couldn’t help but feel relief. Whatever was going on…whoever this entity was that glowed before them, perhaps she was aiding them in this struggle? Sending the humans off to another world? Hopefully where they would drown or suffocate or die of starvation.
…
Go now!” Wha--? Mei ran. Everyone ran. And suddenly Natalia too was taken by the sea of students who were scrambling back to their ‘tent’. Again, confusion flashed on her face, lips turned down, eyes wide and always moving…she was aiming to survive now, and if it meant showing every strength she had or how cunning she could be…or even how quickly she could escape a scene—so be it! But the guidance she was becoming used to hearing did not make it quite as far, wrapped in the spiked-whip the hooded human possessed and then...
“Oh my…oh my JACK!” The ghoul howled, covering her eyes out of shock and disgust. She missed the dispersing of FEAR particles, shaking her. But she didn’t miss the box exploding, and the dust settling, and the arrival of more hooded figures readied for battle. She gave Mei a look, who was luckily in the vicinity when the monster turned, and then shuddered.
It would seem that the only way to end the drama would be to…attack? It seemed to make sense to the others, who charged the crowded lot with all they had. To Natalia’s surprise, the figures took the damage didn’t seem to give any back…were they protecting the one with the whip and the smaller ghoul? Perhaps…Well, if that was the case, Natalia would want to have a word with those two if they could get past the barricade before them!
But her human form wouldn’t do, not when she possessed an even stronger other half…twisting her body, shoulders hiking and dropping, her tail twitching at its end, Natalia burst into her natural form and shook free the fur that had been pressed into place for oh so very long. Her thoughts became hazy, but it was clear enough to the newly formed monster that her targets were the ones with the weapons. Following the rest of the student body, Natalia charged.

At least they are not attacking. Yet. The students were attacking. Draven wasn't entirely sure why. He knew they were with the one who just killed that..whoever she was. He knew they reminded him of trouble. The root of the why wasn't really important. They were enemies. His fellow students were fighting them, and that was good enough for him. Rped out post: Progress. Progress was good. The beheading of the being that had helped them make this progress wasn't so good. The seemingly impenetrable wall of hunter-bodies before them wasn't so good, either.
He saw Roch and another boil sneak through and into the tent. They were small, it made sense that they'd be able to. Herryk.. was not so small. As much as he wanted to get inside that tent -- as much as he knew Freya and the others were probably trapped inside those cages -- Herryk was not going to risk a failed sneak attempt.
Instead, the large draugr gave a loud bellow. FEAR danced along his arms and hands, his chest and shoulders. It almost appeared that the boil grew in size.
