The only die that is safe ( for now ) is my scatter die, it is the only one I have. I lost a hole Squad of deep striking assault marines thanks to the little &%$#@. And it scatter my own artillery on my guys. stressed I think it is a chaos die. yesss... it must be chaos... ninja I want to get a whole bag of them just to have options. Extras are always good. 3nodding

lol. These Chaos dice even hate me. Mainly becuase they have been forced to give my Black Templars good rolls, lol. And they better continue giving me good rolls or more of them shall loose their lives!

Oddly enough, no matter how good of a player or tactician you are the game is won and lost by dice. Some times approach a battle with the " Well here's hoping. " out look. one of my Vet. assault sergeants survived four shots with a save check of four 6's, he was the last one left in the squad. The other player bowed his head and let the sergeant live, stating " The emperor is with that one." in the very next turn I lost five terminators out of my command squad by rolling all ones, mind you the squad had already taken losses in deep strike. In another game my then little, five man scout squad managed 2 wounds on a blood thirster and lived ! Total chance, no strategy as far as dice go.

...Hey...guys? Does my avi looked...screwed up at all? Like streached and well...Not Me! I dunno what it is if It's just my computer or not but it's screwing up my Avi when I post in threads!

No Honda, it was a major glitch. Mine was like that to. It was alover the forums. If your avi is still messed up, change it and save the change. You may have to do it a few times. But it eventually fixes.

Any have any good games lately?
I played an 800 point Ork game the other day and man, I swear I'm going to have to come up with new names for the kind of slaughters me and Redd get.
400 points of tempest Marines
+
400 points of Grey Knights
vs
800 points of orks.
We took 1 wound! One wound made it past my Tech marines armor and took him from 2 wounds to 1. Other then that not a single space marine fell in that battle.
I say this to all of you, when fighting orks bring a techmarine in a servo harness with a 4 man servitor retinue that carries heavy bolters! You are going to be killing about 8-10 orks a turn with that!

But the strategy comes in getting your scouts in a position to carry out the attack; just because the result of the attack is down to chance doesn't mean it's not a tactical manouvre.

What I was getting at was that situation was not a tactical move. That was the 3rd game I had played, my guys where hiding in a crater ! I seen it coming and tried to save them cause I felt bad about sending them to there deaths ! sweatdrop The odds of an unspecialized 5 man scout squad surviving a blood thirster was low that's is why I called it chance. The only strategy at that moment was " Run away ! " I later read further into my codex and learned of the " And they shall know no fear. " Needles to say I now know better. twisted

Heh, listening to you guys complain about your roles almost makes me sick. The worst roles of all time are already taken by Dart and I, and they unfortunately don't look like their going anywhere.
Where to start....Ah, that game Dart mentioned. (Which by the way was great! Heh, a perfect, no casultie game...we may need to stop winning by so much.)
Alright, well here is a little glimpse at our luck, comparted to Coltons (where the on-going joke of "Necter" refering to luck.)
Alright, so one of my Grey Knight squads, equipped with 2 Psycannons, shoots at an Ork squad. 6 shots, 3+ hit...1hit. 2+ wound, wipee, one wound on a 2. My next squad, 3+ hit...4 hits. 2+ wound...1 wound. stare
Colton's luck:

6 Bigshoota shots, 5+ hit...5 hits. 3+ wound...5 wounds.
I hate him.
However, seeing as that was one of Dart and I's better luck games believe it or not, and yet we still remain undefeated, proving that all though luck can affect games greatly, if you keep your smarts up. You will most likely come out on top.
By they way, I'm back.

:: Hands Red a barf bag :: xd I don't think we where complaining about the roles. We where saying that some of our dice are traitors that's all. If you read above we where also sharing methods on culling the week dice from our mitts. twisted My preferred method is the hammer. Bad roles happen its a fact, But some times certain dice role better then others I'd rather have those dice.
