*Walks around naked wearing nothing but a sign reading, "END OF THE WORLD IS HERE"*
...It's cool, Than, chances are I'll be making more money than you would ever be making and what ever company you're working for I'll be a majority stock holder and essentially own your a**. More likely than not I'd just give it to KB for his pleasure...your a**, I'm referring too if you couldn't follow along.

Doubt it. Your misconceptions about what I actually plan to do aside, you don't strike me as the kind of smart you'd need to do that. You said you wanted to do software engineering, right? Not gonna do much for you in America right now. And no offense but I'm not going to even get into your chances of professional athletics. Good luck on that though.
Secondly, KB wouldn't know what to do with a piece of a**. cool

Couldn't care less what you wanted to do with your life, honestly, I was just making a joke. You haven't the foggiest idea what sort of intellect I have nor the perception required to make any sort of accurate conclusion as to what I'm capable of. Software engineer, micro-electronic, nuclear engineering, all interesting fields and easily something I could get into and make a decent living off of despite what ever you may believe. Frankly I'm not sure what I want to do professionally for the rest of my life, I just know that I'm capable of being almost anything but an artist.

Nuclear physics was interesting to me for a while, but I found my better interest in A.I.
And on a tangent, I don't think there's any such thing as a star engineer of anything without a good artistic sense, although I'm guessing you meant drawing and images.

I had someone completely misinformed tell me about technological singularity. I lol'd and then set them straight on the fictional premise.

Northern portion of Hell? Are we talking one of the lower levels, like the icy ones? Or are we talking sea-swept thrown upon the rocks?
I'd personally be at a mildly sad ease if I got stuck with the eternal rainy day that is Limbo.

The nuclear field interests me only insofar as it's a budding, newish, field that's likely to experience a rather impressive boom here as the prices of natural - nonrenewable - fuel and power sources continue to escalate. That being said most people who have a degree in it find themselves of limited value in the United States short of joining the Navy and working on our war vessels, but may soon find themselves the creme' of the crop for job opportunities soon.
And yes, I mean drawing and that what not in regards to being an artist. One can argue an artist is many things, our poetry, literature, music, and even construction of objects could be described as being an artist...yet I still define an artist as someone who draws or paints...maybe a sculptor, maybe.

Yeah, I can't think of a name simply for all the image artists unless you know what their specific mediums are.
I wouldn't mind seeing the U.S. benefit from a boom in commercial nuclear technology. Not only would it help the current problem with petroleum, but it would probably improve the engineering in general to make it safer. I know nothing major has ever happened in the U.S. from a nuclear facility malfunction, but there have been incidents of shoddy designing and engineering. Solar energy is also looking interesting, but it's still so far from being practical, even with all the improvements, including the new methods for storing solar energy when sunlight is unavailable.

I have five billion years before I need to worry about the star called our sun goes out. That should be enough time to find an alternative, and hopefully a new place to live.

As for putting out the sun with a blanket, KB, go read Nightfall, that's pretty much what it's about.
