Angmar01 devilangelcholo Kuya = Older brother in Tagalog, like Nii-san in japanese^__^ i though oni ment big brother same here . i thought oni-chan was big brother.....

mizuki_ryu Angmar01 devilangelcholo Kuya = Older brother in Tagalog, like Nii-san in japanese^__^ i though oni ment big brother same here . i thought oni-chan was big brother..... btw oni= ogre, onii=older brother. the "O" is placed in words in nihongo to show respect and appreciation example is water= omizu, you can use mizu to say water. so nii-san or nii-chan is the same, just less appreciation. okies now on the suffix "-san" is to show someone that you respect them, "-sama" is to show respect to someone totally higher than your lvl, "-chan" is used for someone really close to you, and also a term of endearment and shows closeness between the two. so "Onii-san, Onii-chan, Onii-sama" is acceptable "nii-san, nii-chan" is also acceptable, this is what I've learned in my nihongo and japanese friends, to anyone that knows japanese can u verify this and also make corrections thankies
