"I don't visit the graves of my ancestors, mostly because I think that they might have a form similar to Uthegentel. But, that may not be the case with yours."
"You like me. That is..."
"It would probably tell you something along the lines... 'If I were half as beautiful as you, I would indeed be blessed..." The drow paused, where in the nine hells did that come from. Was he sick or something, maybe he had the Grey Wasting. No, he didn't feel slimy. Wait a moment... No, the Jewel or Mind Shield was active, so no interfering psionic entities were drilling this stuff into his head. He actually said that on his own.

"I have spoken with them once, briefly. They were very nice. Death went well for them."
"I more than like you, Tarathiel."
She smiled and chuckled a little bit. "I was wondering more along the lines of some insight to life, just wondering if the flowers know soemthing I don't. But that was sweet, I'll take that instead."
"You know, flowers were never part of the underdark. They are from the surface. Seeds that found their way into crooks and cranies, and the plaque of the overworld did not reach them. I'm touching a peice of the surface."

"Humans come from the surface." Tarathiel placed a hand on Meilikki, "I am touching something from the surface."
He paused, "More than Like? What does that mean? You want to eat my insides and wear me like a coat?"

She turned her face up to him, her blush evident on her pale cheeks.
"While it would be interesting to ask someone what I looked like with ebony skin, no it means that I love you, Tarathiel."

His eyes widened at the confession, and his lips stumbled for a brief moment. "Love." The word had never lost all its meaning if a sound could destroy a words meaning. "Love." The confusion remainded, yet there should be no confusion there. It should be clear, it should be percise. It should be adamant.
But this was the son of Lolth.
"Love?" He knew what this word meant, he understood the principle behind it, he remembered the long time some monk spent trying to teach him about the concept. He should be able to say something more. But that would be... What...
"Love?"

She chuckled and smiled, plucking the flower from it's vine and caressing it's petals in her hand. "Yes, love. I knew you were comming, and that when I saw you I would love you or hate you. It turned out to be love."
She stood, handing Tarathiel the flower. "I asked you once, if you thought I would not return your love. You said no, you knew what people would do. And yet, you seem so surprised."

"I am not allowed to be happy. That was determined when I was born." Tarathiel replied. "The laws of nature are against this."
"Or at least."
"I know that you love me. I knew that you would fall in love with me. I always had known since I first glance at you. It was inevitable."
"But How can I know the future when I am not an Oracle."
"Perhaps, it is because I read people."
"Perhaps, Lolth is my mother."
"Perhaps, I am merely a ripple in a great stream of chaos."
"Maybe, its simply because I make the truth."

Daz bobbed his head. "Yes the other packs where escapies from the cornfields. But they did not escape with us. Some escaped before and some after. There was always something different about the packs. Longer necks, broader chests that kind of thing." He smiled at distant memories. "They were a great people, the wolves. Noble, loyal, and respectful of the world around them. We had thought for a time, that it was a perfect society."
Eliot giggled. "I'd like having a sister again."
Kat only stared at Moonstone. "Hmm? Pardon me? Yoou'll have to speak up I'm a hick and a low belly with ears as normal as a human's can be." she tilted her head and tapped her foot a little, "I could always give the statue to the Imps yo uknow..."

"So then, you are happy?"
She smiled. "That is all the future is, reading people. It just happens to be my profession. Making your won truth is the reason i can't follow you. I can't predict you, my stones can't see you. You've broken free of me, so to speak. And been pulled in as well."

Roarke nodded. "So there are none of you out in the wild? The..uh...the Corn Fields were experimenting with animal genetics?"
Aella also smiled. "All right then. We're sisters. Any arguments?"
Moonstone looked at the statue, then back at Kat. It loooked cool, but did it look at tat cool? "Um I said that I bet you could..." he looked out of the corner of his eye a moment, trying to think of soemtihng else to say, "sell potraights to people, make some money." yeah, that was it.

"And that my dearest, is why You can't seem to live without me." Tarathiel winked. He took one of Meilikki's hands and led her towards the keep. "I have to orcastrate a few things. I'd invite you to come, but some of my less savory collegues would want to eat you and such. It would be messy."

She nodded, although she wished she could have stayed outside a little longer. The air was delicious with he scent of flowers that would soon fade. "I understand." Inside, she realized the potion had been left out, and was now black and frothing. Which meant she had ruined it, which meant it would be at least another three months before she could get back some of those ingrediants. It was going to be painful...

"Yes, or at least, thats what we assume. None of us have very many memories of the cornfields. ANd we belive that to be because of the tests that where performed." He laughed, "Hell we were surprised we were coherent enough to even escape. We have no idea the "what" or the "why" of our existance." He thought for a time. "I do remember Eliot thought. Eliot was born."
Eliot sprnag up and did the cake dance on the spot. "Sounds awsome!" She contuniued to do some sort of odd cha cha around the room. She wiggled her butt a little singing "I feel good, ba na na na na na na!"
Kat lifter her eye brows. "I'm not stupid Moon. Thats not what you said." She reached over and took the statue from his hand. "What do I have to do to get you to tell me..." She looked to where Moon's tail might be, and she took a step closer to him. "I seem to remember that tail of yours has a mind of its own." She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

Roarke nodded, his chin in his hand. "yes, that would all make sense, why goive you memories? That must have been a fluke, a gene tht accidentally got in." He smiled again. "Awe, Eliot was the first then?"
Aella laughed, her sister was a freak. "Do i have to restrain you?" But she didn't tell her to sit back down. "I can tell you've had practice at being a sister."
Moosntoen looked at his back side, swoping up his tail and holding onto it in a death grip. He took a step backwards. "don't tempt the devil...." Oh, he didn't like that look on her face at all.
