Tarathiel steped forward and wraped both of his arms gently around Meilikki, and held her close to him. His head rested beside hers, and the softtouch of his hair brushed up beside her face. His armour was strong, yet somehow it seemed to fold around Meilikki's body, allowing the embrace to fully envelope her. His sircoat held a lingering smell, similar to the mist but delicate as flower pollon. The drow prince remaind close to Meilikki, and did not speak.

She froze in a moment of shock, cold adrenaline hitting her stomach and her breath comming up short. She soon settled against him, feeling his warmth and breathing his smell. Whom was comforting whom? She wasn't sure, perhaps they were comforting each other, or perhaps she had said something that said more than the words had meant. Either way, this was as close as Tarathiel had ever been to her, even when they danced there had been some distnace. She clenched both fists against his chest in an effort to stop the tears she felt welling.

Feeling the tension in Meilikki's hand, the Drow prince could not find the strenth to say anything. They were both emotional wreaks.
Long moments passed before Tarathiel spoke, "In the end, nothing really matters but the emotions of the present."

He let them talk, while he listened, and moved to teh table edge for the fairy to have the oppotunity to hop and jump and do whatever, and get it over with so that it wouldn't try later like when they were eating, provided Laudi might still be here.
His mind however was in other places. the drow that died during Tarathiel's little venture and attempt on his sisters life let him know about whom he had gone after. however things didn't add up. he knew the number that was brought, as the dead informed, but not that many souls had been able to be summoned or sensed by his necromancers. So did some escape? or where they now deadly new toys of Dimitri.
Not to mention Onyx and Moonstone had been unusually quiet. and the cattleranchers daughter as well. at least they were probably all entertaining themselves. Hopefully she was growing on one of those two, and any relationship that came about friendly or more so, could give him more leverage through his daughter. keep a constant bug in his ear, as the case may be.
then thoughts turned to Roarke, and the three ships he was having built, one going to the cattleherder for the transport of said cattle and meat, and who was attacking the shipping and why. some pirate...and probably an ally or kin to Tarathiel. Another thing to bring up with that Drow.
And what to do with the souless he owned? they performed thier tasks well, did exactly as they were told, anddidn't seem a threat at the moment. but he knew better. they were a trap waiting to be sprung. and speaking of that..wasn't that man that delivered them supposed to arrange a meeting with Dimitri and gt him that gladitoral beast? that was taking a while too wasn't it.
So lets sort it out. leave the vah and the girl alone. the conduit child and her father are bnest left to themselves as well. Roarke needs to be contacted for an update, he needed to visit Tarathiel and give him a talking to, and he had to find a way to contact that little labcoated human and see how those things were progressing.

Meilikki swallowed back her tears. Her knuckles had gone white from clenching so tightly. "The past is still diffucult to get over." She might know that better than most.
"Being alone for to long gives one too much time to think. Thinking hurts, when all you have are bad memoreis to visit. Who am I to take these lives away? I am not a god. I see the future, but is it any of my buisness?"

Little Taru reached out, playoing with Malik's clothes muhc like she had the others, inspecting what could be inspected. She found her way to the ends of his white hair, which see compared to her own for a moment. Then the colour of his skin took her notice, and she was up on his shoulder, hands on his jaw, starring at his cheek and squinting her eyes, as if she didn't quite understand why it was that colour.

Eliot had left Warren to sleep for a while, he had fallen asleep quickly and had eaten vary little. that worried her some she had thought he would be starving, but she hoped in time he would eat regularily again. She went to visit Aella. "Thanx for giving me some time." She said when she found her.
Daz sat in the oddly lit room, one arm crossed over a knee, the other on the ground beside his hip. He watched the pups play. He was happy that they were in a safe place. But he mourned for Ben and Jada. They had both been acceptional pups, and to have survived so log only to be picked off by those awful Jackles... and of course Kaida, who had never spent a moment with out her sister often looked over her shoulder, looking for her twin. He saddened him to see her ears droop while she tried to play with the others, maybe if he could arrange it he would have Eliot talk to her.
He growled deep in his chest. the Jackles. For years they had evnied the wolves. After all they could not fully transform and were stuck between a human and a jackle, they were smaller, and weaker than the wolves. And they had always preyed on the weak of the wolf packs. But now he supposed they were winning, the wolves were almost all gone. All they needed to do was get rid of the pups. He wondered how many Before Ben and Jada had fallen to those disgusting creatures.

"You probably were, you just don't remember it." A small chuckle at his own little shoulder angel as he was resting himself. Though he clasped his hands behind his back loosely, rolling his shoulders back some. "At least she's taken interest in someone other than you now."
Piper merely laughed lightly and shook her head. "You just have to know his type of fun and be able to play the game...or have a type of fun that appeals to him." A little nod at that, looking over to Malik a moment as he was letting himself be pawed over by Tarhu. A long look a moment, that's why the blue in the familar's skin caught her eye...it was Malik's shade.

Aella just shrugged. "It didn't look like something I should intrude on." She could understand that Eliot need a bit of time alone with the wizard, considering what they went through together. But a strange thing, Aella didn't wan to see it. Being uncomfortable was half the reason why she left in the first place. It frightened her, no matter where it came from.
"Still...it feels really weird. I've never seen anyone my size before, and now I do, I'm sure that like it." Indeed, Razirel was no longer so unique. But that didn't bother him as much as the fact that he was a genetic experiment. Which means he was never really born, he was grown. While he had come to terms with it, how might others deal with it?
Roarke stepped into his garden, letting Cedric go over the things he would need for his trip. At first, Roarke had been planning to go with the elf, now he remembered why he couldn't in the first place. Restoring the surface world to it's former glory was not in the hands of the demi-gods. It simple couldn't be done by the powerful. There were places that were restricted to him. So, now Cedric would have to find a way to communicate with Cedric, so that he could guid the elf on where he needed to go. He sat in the grass beside Daz.
"You look troubled. Something happen to you guys on your way to me?"

She nodded, "Well I think I'll let you have the fun that appeals to me and I will continue to drive him insane and get on his nerves." She grinned, "Because I do it so well. My type of fun might appeal to him, but it deals with dueling and weapons and such so who knows." Shrugging she turned her attention to Tarhu. At about the same time that Piper was thinking it, it dawned on her as well. "Malik's blue..." she said slowly. Did that mean that...? Oh my Lolth. Please say no.

"what brilliant observation skills. just now noticing that the only other being here that color of blue is myself?"
A roll of his eyes.
"Same as you, donation of tissue from my cheek, with cotton. apparently the experiment is based on traditional knowledge, jsut altered in form and rate by magical means. So, in essence they are 'born' just the life essence is altered to give them thier state. which makes me wonder how Raziel is blue."

Kieran gave a chuckle and raised a hand to pat Raziel on the head before settling his hands behind himself again. "Weird doesn't have to be bad though. Weird is one of those spices that are thrown into the melting pot of life to add a little more kick to the stew. Can be quite good in the right doses." Though his attention went to Malik a moment before back to his own thoughts and the familiars.
Piper blinked. "So in other words its kind of like...you two had a kid..." And she didn't know how she felt about that even though she plainly knew how the familiar was made and how it wasn't. It was still a thought process perception thing. She shook her head, deciding to take the route that masked the inner workings of her mind for the time being. "You and you science fun..."

Laudi said nothing, as she didn't think any explination from her was need. It was quite obvious anyway. She merely smiled though. "Raziel's male donator was a...good...companion of mine." She visabley searched for the word before commiting to it. Only Malik knew of her dabblings with slaves, and she wasn't up to explaining much beyond that. "Raziel is my life's work. A form of splicing, cloning, and growing. It took a lifetime to develope."
Raziel accepted the pat, and smiled. That was pretty much a compliment, and he knew it. But he looked somewhat downtrodden when Laudi spoke of his donator.
Tahru gave a pull and Malik's ear and checked the colour of his eyes before moving on to Zahara, where she continued her little investigation quest. She took mostly an interest in the shiny things Zahara wore aobut her person, as well sa the hue of her skin.

Zahara's eyes widened, "Wait a minute...you mean...yours...and mine...and..." she was speechless. Staring at Malik fora moment and then looking at Tarhu who was currently watching her. "You mixed your DNA with mine? What the hell is wrong with you? Your stuff and my stuff should never ever ever mix!" She covered her face for a moment with her hands nad then said, "A Lolth, Usstan inbal natha dalhar xuil natha nesst Usstan phlith lu' Usstan inbal nau ul'hyrr lu'oh ol doerrus bauth...."

Daz sighed deeply. "Two of the pups where killed on the way. I hadn't realized the danger, and now..." he thought about the jackles for a moment. "And nowi feel i may have put them in yet more danger."
Eliot nodded. She sat down on the floor, her feet curled beneath her. "Well, how is the spider meet? Do we need to get any more?"
