hrm,... i was never much of the Naruto person honestly. I know a lot of other people used it as reference before which isnt all that bad until we start speaking bloodlines and such. Bloodlines is another issue, since people did use some of them to be overpowered. Id like to not use Naruto as a theme but again i think it should be up to everyone. If we dont use it, what would we use to help new comers when referencing techniques? Where do we set up the boundaries and guidelines for the rp itself when it comes to these techniques?

I honestly dont mind what word is used, everyone has their preference and chakra isnt just a Naruto term.

Originally, it was energy. We brought more mysticism into it than Naruto stuff, but it started to get popular and was an easy enough way to explain it. Those of us who knew enough about mysticism knew that there technically is chakra, but it's not like Naruto. There's chakra points, which energy flows through to the rest of the body. The way Naruto used the term chakra and how we first started always was a bit ... off putting to some.

Either way, GNA was formed before Naruto came to be, and it used energy. I say we stick with that.

Training ninjas, yes. When I joined the GNA I was actually kinda forced into it by the others since I used to loiter around as a swordsman from another guild. We can let them be part, but only train once they join.

yea, that's true about the DM's

was thinking there would be an interactive teacher that would cross paths with the group and that's how they'd learn (in one way)
the other way that they'd learn is through combat and copying their enemies (?) I didn't give it that much thought because I was trying to figure out this whole ninja or other classes thing first

I completely agree with what you said about bloodlines, that's like exactly how I feel about it as well
the only substitute that I can think of in relation to "bloodlines" would be class specific abilities
-an archer of a certain caliber can eventually shoot 3 arrows at once, 3 different targets (like it'd be an ability, cooldown)
-a knight's would be defense against spells for a certain amount of time, etc
(how these work aren't necessarily important right now)
which was why I was asking, are we only going to be making ninja characters, or are we going to include other classes (not getting rid of ninjas)

as far as a schedule for DMs, i think that we need more active people for that first....

true.... then again even in our old storyline not everyone was a nin either. Some were just here to study nin techniques to advance themselves in combat. So ok, no it doesnt have to be just Ninjas since it wasnt that way anyways.
