btw would you guys be open to some kind of roll the dice thing? I haven't fully planned it out in my head yet
because lets be honest, any fight, or RP fight thread, or whatever you want to call it, always ends up in an OOC argument
like it has nothing to do with skill rofl, it's like, whoever yields the argument loses the IC fight, which makes no fkin sense
simplifying it to a dice roll for the chance of something important happening in battle is better imo

^^ I'm siding with Nar on this one.
As for the new characters, just a question but are they going to be taught anything and if so by who? I vouch for the martial arts cow to be teacher,
well, like I posted earlier, they come in with basic fighting styles or weapons knowledge like an archer or swordsman already
and maybe someone who knows barely any chakra control, like coat their weapon for a one time use of chakra (starting to remind me of yu yu hakusho) which would be a last ditch effort to kill something because they'd exhaust themselves right after using it
anyways the teaching thing will probably be a very rare occurrence and when it happens it'll be a very small enhancement to the character. I'd like this to be as minimalistic as possible so that when the characters grow and months of IC development go by, you'll see the growth and how far they've come and w/e
I don't want someone's character to be able to take on 5 trained mercenaries at once (starting out, and even end-game) without receiving some kind of permanent damage and coming close to death
you'd simply be overwhelmed
I just don't see the fun in being over powered and becoming super over powered over time. It's overdone and stale. The characters have to decide whether to fight together or run when alone or outnumbered
(potentially missing out on rewards when you choose to run, but at least your character will be alive)
that's another thing, I want the chance of our characters dying to be a very real possibility, so you're forced to think if an upcoming encounter is worth the risk for reward
so you have to make a new character if yours dies
