Diablo held Myra close, keeping her warm and holding her happily.
Elsewhere in the world, a certain desert queen was being halted outside of village gates, where they insisted she couldn't come in. "Excuse me, but my daughter is currently in there, and I expect to see her," she said, glaring at them.

The guards looked to her skeptically. "Sorry ma'am. Unless you have proof or we have confirmation from the elder, I'm afraid we cannot let you in." he informed her, trying not to anger the woman. She looked rather intimidating as it was.

Kaya narrowed her eyes and grabbed the guard by the collar. "You, sir, are two words away from being replaced. Now either let me in or get me my daughter and that little raven boy she's here with. Now!"

The guard panicked some. "A-Alright! Alright! You can go in!!" he said, frantically opening the gate for her. She was extremely scary! How did those kids live with her?!

Kaya stormed up the walk to the door she knew belonged to the grandfather of Shiro--the raven demon she wanted to investigate. She took a couple of deep breaths before knocking on the door, a pleasant smile arranged on her face. [OOC:] Kaya and Lunora get along, don't they?

The elder came to the door and smiled some. "You must be that darling girl's mother. Please come in. Would you like some tea?" he asked, letting her come in and sit down as he closed the door. He then got a cup of tea himself before looking to the woman to see if she wanted one.

Kaya smiled at the older man. Darling girl? All right, this was off to a good start. "No thank you, but that's very kind of you. I'm really just here to discuss Shiro and Maria."

The elder nodded and walked over, sitting across from Kaya with his tea, sipping it some. "And what would you like to discuss, ma'am?"

Kaya sighed and shrugged. "I only want to know small things. Is he a good kid? I don't think Shiro was in my classes, or I'd remember him. Has Maria been good? She hasn't been a rude house guest, has she?"

The elder smiled and nodded some. "I haven't seen my grandson since he returned a few days ago. I had to send him to an orphanage due to my old age and his parents' deaths. But no. Your daughter has been quite a blessing. And Shiro seems to enjoy her company as well." he said with a smile, finishing his tea with a content sigh.

Kaya frowned sadly. She liked this old man, and she wanted him to be happy as well as his grandson. "Will Shiro be returning to Mesilici?"

The elder sighed softly. "I'm not sure. I hope so. He needs to learn so much before he must return here. As you can see I am getting on in years. And he is my only blood left. So he must come and take my place when I die." the raven said, setting his cup down on the table.

Kaya sighed a little. "Well, I would be happy to take him back to Mesilici. There was recently some difficulties with my situation, and I haven't spent as much time with my children as I wish I had. But I know my daughter well enough, and I know that Maria will stay with him no matter what." She sighed, a little sad, knowing that one day her daughter would leave her. "I suppose I just wanted to know what it was that had her running back here. You seem to speak highly of your grandson."

The elder nodded some, stroking his beard some. "How could I not speak of him like that? The boy risked his life to break the curse upon our blood and your daughter helped him. She brought him back from the brink of madness and cured our curse. Together they have brought peace back to our blood." he said, sighing contently. His grandson meant the world to him and he couldn't wait to watch from the afterlife as Shiro was crowned elder.

Kaya raised her eyebrows, impressed. Maria helped? Well, went to show it didn't matter how you started life. She smiled, proud of her daughter. "Sounds like quite the experience. Would you mind if I saw them? I'd like to meet Shiro, as well as talk to my daughter."
