*though this did comfort her to know that someone was on her side, she quickly broke out of his grasp.* no...no it's not resovled...and it never will! I'm sorry, but not even you can help me with this. *turn to you looking very upset with her head hung low.* look...I just need you to promise me something. *she bit her bottom lip.*...promise....when the sistuation shows itself....*Ren looked back up at you.*...don't hesitate...to kill me.

She heard some noises and such coming from Feather's bed, "We'll talk later." She looked to Feather, "Someone help me, it's Feather", she yelled loud and frantically. She did not know whether to wake her or not. "Where is everyone? Feather needs our help!"

*He nodded often at her statements, and then turned to look at her and then the door as he heard the scream, and nodded in grim agreement.* "Please, see that you do." *He said as he sprinted past her down the stairway.*

Radergeist stood over the bed, all tiredness gone from her face, replaced with a kind of grim tension. She replied in a level tone, in the speaker's own language.

"Is that you Feather?" she asked. She knew the answer, of course: it was a question of hope more than anything else. "It might be a good idea to stay back," she said to the others as they came in to the room. That had sounded a good deal more sarcastic than she had meant it to, but this wasn't the time to worry excessively about that. She stared into Feather's blind eyes, searching for some clue...

*she griped her fist tightly as the girl keep crying in a unknown language. Ren hated to be helpless when someone is in need, expeacially when a child is involded.* what's happening to her and what is she saying? she is falling greatly ill before our eyes, isn't there anything we can do?

"Yes," said Radergeist. Think. It's what David would do. It's what he would tell you to do if he was here now. And it might be the only way.

She stretched out her hand, and placed it over Feather's face.

Within the girl's mind it was dark. She had entered through parts of her brain that weren't working. That was worrying. She sought about for a passage, and found a string of confused thoughts heading in one direction. She latched onto them, letting them carry him on their random way.

She couldn't stay here much longer. A billionth of a second had already elapsed. Another few and she would be unable to maintain herself within Feather's head. She wouldn't have been able to get in here at all, if Feather's defences hadn't been nonexistent at the moment. Which was, of course, worrying in itself.

And then Radergeist felt it, and she was there. She was in amongst the areas of Feather's mind that was still Feather. She reached out, spreading her own consciousness thinly over Feather's. She couldn't think as quickly this way, she had only a few moments of direction...

She noticed the war. Feather's mind was fighting a losing battle, that was obvious. Its enemy was vastly more powerful. But both participants were inexperienced. Radergeist reached out to the areas of Feather's mind under his control. The enemy had overrun her consciousness in an appalling manner. In the moment of time she had left, Radergeist issued her orders....

And then she was back. She started back from the figure on the bed, trembling and faint, her hands groping for support. The aftertaste of the bitter struggle that was Feather's mind hung in her head like the smell of lead. She stared at the bed, willing her intervention to have had some effect.

*Feather shook a bit, and then whimpered* ch-che......che! [n-no.... no!] *a mixture of emotions and concentration flickered over her face....* ni...nina......[ma...mama.....] lekr mieha nina te! [i want my mama!!]

*she stoped blushing as her consern for him grew. she only seen him act this way once before. it seem that the past was catching up with almost everyone in the group. she spoked again in a soft voice.*...talon, does this remind you of something?
