Kai sighed happily as the dance ended. I wish Ayra were here to see this... She always loved when I'd show her these things... Before she got so busy... I'm going to have to change that. He thought determined. "I always love their balls. But I still think that the flower ball they have during the winter to remember the spring is still the best." he commented, still whispering as the fearies slowly started to disperse.

Jessica observed the faeries slow dispersement, finally turning to face him, one more tear rolling quickly down her cheek. "I agree completely, it is something that can never be explained. Only enjoyed and cherished. Thank you for this Kai." She whispered, rising up rather suddenly to kiss his forehead, smiling softly to him, brushing away the trails of her two tears. She grew a little more professional, feeling a rather strong breeze move through as she saw a light flash past over the leaves into the sky. It made her blink, frowning as she sighed. Her choker flashed once, her fingers touching it. "What is it Priya?" "I think this is the result of something being wrong with Arya. She dropped off the files we requested and then flew off. I got the feeling she was rather upset. Are you and Kai alright?" "Yes, we're fine. Kai and I were just finishing up our interview. We'll return shortly. Dr. Rosen out." She murmured, sighing heavily as she looked to Kai. "You know her better than me. I'll go back to the others and help them with their work. If you want to talk more, you know where to find me." She smiled sweetly to him, turning to go before a strong gust of wind shot through again, almost knocking her over, making her latch onto a tree. Jesus....
Upset was an understatement. Arya was beyond that, she was ready to rip the Head Councilman apart. Fools, all of them! Nothing but bureaucratic idiots! She wasn't really paying attention to how strong the wind was getting in her anger, shooting off lasers of light into the sky as well. Her people were crumbling and she couldn't do anything to really stop it. Putting it off was about it. s**t! Taking a deep breath, she heard her brother shout at her in her head, immediately calming down at the telekinetic slap she felt. She sighed heavily, looking down at the report that she had been given, feeling drained. Her being upset wouldn't do anything to help anyone, the more anger in the air, the sooner that the Bolygó Evő would come. Especially if anyone with a lot of power does...
The breeze subsided, the storm clouds dissipating into the air as she stared at a fuzzball similar to a squirrel scurried past on a lower branch. I have to figure out what to do.... Otherwise we'll all suffer. She did her best to ignore how heavy her body felt, a couple of feathers materializing and falling from where her wing would be hanging if it were visible. Én szomorú.

The kiss had suprised Kai. He didn't know how to react, what should he do? His hand had just been coming up to brush the hair out of Jessica's face when the wind hit them hard. Ayra..., he thought with instent concern.
Kai helped Jessica back to her feet. "My guess is Ayra just got done meeting with the Elder Concil... They tend to have a talent for ticking her off." he exlained, trying to allow for Ayra's behavior. "I'll go check on her and then I'll come back over to check on things at the base... Don't want Ayra to blow a hole in the sky." Kai joked, covering his concern as he patted Jessica gently on the back.

Jessica gave him a quick smile as he helped her up, sighing as she heard him, nodding. "It's like meeting with the Board back home. I can understand her frustration." She murmured, smirking at the joke. "Alright. I need to look over those reports anyways. Can't leave Priya to everything!" She winked, saluting him as she started off back to base, tapping her choker so it projected how she should get back. After all, her eyes had been covered for a portion of it not that they had seemed to have gone far from where they had been.
Arya was sitting cross-legged in the branch, her back to the thick trunk of the tall oak, her hands typing across the air in a holographic keyboard. Three screens were projected on a pane of ice with light being the source with a tiny crystal embedded into each so they all connected to her home computer. She was still on edge because she wanted to know what the results would be from her brother meeting with the council on her behalf. Sighing heavily, she paused in her typing to scroll down one screen, looking at it all with a small frown. She was getting absolutely nowhere. They had gained so little knowledge in the past month, so it was hard to come up with a solution to combat the Bolygó Evő. At least most of them weren't too destructive to anywhere. The council is stupid for approving that one. They can't think ahead to save themselves despite their prophets.

Kai appeared in the branch next to Ayra in a gust of wind and sighed. "See you've had a meeting with the Concil." he commented looking at her with his head cocked. "Want to talk about it?"

Arya opened her eyes slowly as Kai appeared, since she had still been staring at the screens before she closed her eyes and pulled the crystals out so the panes of ice melted into a mist that dissipated quickly. "Of course." She murmured, the three crystals vanishing into light as she looked up to him. "They want to send Jarrod back into the rebel group so he can get a little more info and allow their forces to infiltrate and take everyone into custody. The group should already know he's spoken to me and so will wish his death. Then the one solution they agree upon to the Bolygó Evő problem is the one that will cost us the most in my own opinion. Or it's one I strongly oppose. And they refuse to see reason!" She let it all spill out, sighing frustratedly as she leaned back against the trunk again, throwing her arms up into the air before letting them fall back into her lap.

Kai jumped to her branch, straddling the it as he faced her. He lay a hand gently against her cheek. "Maybe I can help..." he said, knowing that what he was about to suggest would probally end with Ayra exploding at him. "You know that Neko's can create illusions using the elements. I could always go in there wearing a Jarrod suit, so to speak, and get what we need to know..." because that will make you happy, Kai finished without speaking. "The illusion wouldn't last very long without reapplying it, but that shouldn't be to difficult." Kai braced for the verbal beating he was more then sure to get from Ayra for this idea.

Arya's eyes followed his movement, finding his own as he laid his hand on her cheek. She listened and soon began shaking her head, a hand coming up to take his, lowering her eyes so he couldn't see her expression. "No, Kai no!" She almost cut him off, the wind rustling briefly around them before it settled, her hand holding on just a little tighter to his. "No, that won't make me happy!" She looked up at him, unable to fulfill the brief urge to smack him for suggesting such a thing. "I refuse to let anyone I care about go in there! Then you could die and what would I do? What would Malachai do? He'd leave the rebels no hope for life. He would strip them down to the bone and worse! You know that! Hell I would." She kept her voice calm, though a tone of slight hurt slipped in despite her efforts. She let go of his hand, her own sliding slowly back into her lap as she bowed her head again. "It wouldn't make me happy at all..." She spoke silently, her hair becoming a curtain, leaving a small slit that showed the smallest part of her face.

Kai leaned forward and brushed Ayra's hair out of her face. Taking her face in his hands he looked Ayra in the eye. "I'm sorry... I just don't like seeing you like this..." he stated truthfully.

Arya almost seemed reluctant to look him in the eye as he took her face in his hands, her hazel eyes holding a slight sadness. She looked at him for a long moment before she reached a hand up to run her fingers gently down the side of his face, then coming to rest there as she gave him a small smile. "I know you do. Neither does Malachai, he had to take my place in the meeting because I suck at politics." She murmured with a soft chuckle, touching her forehead to his with a heavy sigh. "I just.... I just don't want to go through losing anyone again. Even if Malachai only left before, he was gone so long it was like I had lost him. I'm not even going into further back than that." She added, shaking her head a little before she fell quiet for a moment.
"I'll wait for what Malachai has to say before thinking on this any further. I really have to come up with a different solution than the one the Council chose that won't be as....." She drifted off, trying to think of the right word. "... destructive? No, harmful. Thats it." She flashed him another smile to reassure him that she was better now, that he shouldn't worry about her too much even if she did oftentimes with others as he knew all too well. Then she changed the subject to try and ease the slight tension that had gathered in the air. "Kai, have you been getting enough sleep? You look like hell to be honest, though you try to hide it. I can tell." She asked, tilting her head as she straightened, her hand sliding lightly from his face to rest on his shoulder instead.

Kai chuckled. "Ouch! Talk about a shot to the ego!" he joked before patting Ayra's on his shoulder. "I'm fine... We're all running on less sleep these days." he added, giving her a knowing look.

Arya sighed and bowed her head, yeah, it had been a shoot down. "And you know he has four wings so they automatically change their entire act and whatnot." She muttered, looking back up to him with a small smile. She chuckled at that, shifting how she sat on the branch so she her side was next to him rather than facing him, allowing more room for him to perch on. "Yeah.... except the humans. Though I suppose they need it more than us hm?" She smirked, brushing her hair back as her one wing came out to stretch, the smoothness of her left shoulder blade aching at the remaining feeling as if there were still something there. "Kai, you should get some rest while you can. Gee, where have I heard that before?" She mocked a thoughtful expression while watching him, nudging him gently in the side with her elbow.

Kai laughed as he gathered his powers and used them to create a fathom wing for Ayra. "Hmmm... I think a rather handsome, dashing, and hot neko told you that once." he joked, smiling as he wrapped and around Ayra's shoulders.

Arya blinked as she looked at the wing he gave her, smiling warmly as she raised her eyes to him. "Indeed he did." She laughed at his jest, her wing wrapping around his shoulder, resting her head against his shoulder with a light, happy sigh. "Thank you. Sometimes it feels like it's still there, but then I remember it's not..." She murmured, shaking herself of the sadness, feeling comforted as she rested against him, her other wing wrapping around them both. "What would I do without you Kai..." She said softly, staring through a patch of leaves distantly.

"Well you wouldn't have to go to the store so much for milk." Kai laughed as he gave Ayra a one armed hug. "But you don't have to worry about that." he stated as he leaned his head against the top of hers.
