Lucid glanced at Lyra, giving her a smile. "I would think that answer is obvious." he said, motioning to the ocean before them. "This is all there is to look at. Why are you out here?"

Looking out over the expanse of the vast water she allowed a soft smile to curve her lips as well. "So I see...perhaps the question i meant to ask is what are you thinking about?" she asked quietly. Carefully sidestepping hie earlier question of her presence outside of the castle. He had asked her not to leave the fortress without him, but she had left with every intention of going to him, so did it count?

Lucid shifted his gaze back to her. "Nothing that you should worry about really." he said, another slight smile curving his lips. "We are still working on finding the men that are after you. Until then, I advise you to stay inside the castle as much as possible."

Sighing, Lyra shifted a little closer to Lucids warmth and raised her gaze to meet his. "I know...but I'm fine right now. You're out here." she answered softly, and for once, she wasn't scared or worried or anything. All she felt was safe...even the faint nerves that were usually present whenever she was around him were absent this evening. A fact that pleased her considerably. Besides, she was lonely...and as used to the feeling as she was, it was nice to have company. To know that your company would be welcome...it was a good feeling.

Lucid chuckled softly, reaching out and pulling her into the shelter of his form. "It is fine. I enjoy the company anyway." he said quietly. "And you are right. While I am here with you, you are safe. If there was an attack, I would defend you with my life."

Smiling, Lyra pressed closer, enjoying the feeling of being held and hoping to steal a little more of his warmth while she was at it. Sighing, she lay her head on his shoulder and let her eyes drift closed. Listening to the sound of the gentle lap of the waves as they touched the shore and receded. The water was calm today. normally the waves were crashing against the shore and the cliff side, but today the ocean seemed so peaceful. It was deceptive, she knew that now, after Arjay taking her into the water, no matter how the water looked it held a power of it's own. it seemed that anything could be destructive, she thought quietly. She wandered if that included her....she wished she could question lucid further about what he knew of her kind. But he had so much on his mind as it was. There was so much for him to contend with, she had no wish to add to it. Besides, she wasn't going anywhere for a while, she could wait and so could her curiosity. After all she had waited this long, surely a little more time couldn't hurt.

Lyra Asriel Christiana remained quiet for several minutes, letting the silence between them stretch to the point where she finally couldn't stand it any more. Reaching out she waved a hand in front of Arjays face and smiled. "Okay...I'm going to start having a one sided conversation in a minute, and trust me you don't want me to start asking questions, then trying to guess the answers for myself....I can come up with really weird s**t." she announced and sank back down onto the rug. "So....don't talk to very many people do you?" she asked, then decided while she was at it she might as well get all of her questions out. "Is that because you don't like people in general or because of the sword? How long can he control you? Do you remember what he makes you do? Does he talk to you, is that how you know his name or did someone else tell it to you?" She paused and drew in a deep breath, she started to start again with another spiel when she saw his face...she laughed instead...fairly sure he was probably never going to want to talk to her again. Incoming message. . .
Listening to her rattle off a barrage of questions, I stared at her blankly. Most of the questions failed to stick in my mind, leaving only a few. "No, it isn't habitual to speak to very many people. I tend to be reserved." I said, shifting my gaze away and moving to stand. "I see such is not the case with you, however." Moving over to the Hiratoshi, I grasped the hilt firmly in my right hand, then lifted the weapon, sheath and all, rigging it back onto my sword belt. With it in it's proper place on my left hip, I turned back to the girl. She was an odd girl, I decided upon watching her from my location in the room. "Perhaps if I had not wound up with the cursed blade, Hiratoshi, I would have been more apt to socialize with more than just Hiratoshi." I said, not bothering to keep the spark of unidentifiable emotions out of my voice. "I must admit though, being the host of this weapon has taken me on quite a journey. I have had the fortune of meeting many interesting people." Or perhaps misfortune, in some cases, I thought to myself. Indeed the sword had taken me on quite a wild goose chase when I had first obtained it. Things seemed to be settling down a bit now though. Perhaps being in this place, where things started, was a good thing. Perhaps, I thought wearily, I could stop running for once.
End of message.

Rising, Christiana's smile faded as she watched him. She heard the remnants of emotion if his voice but they didn't affiliate it enough for her to able to identify it. "Yes, I tend to be social, sometimes a little too much so." she added softly, and attempted a slight smile. "I wasn't laughing at you exactly...just your expression. You couldn't see your face. I guess you aren't used to being questioned so much." reaching up, Chrissy played absently with the lobe of her ear, tugging gently on it. A nervous habit she had developed as a child. Most other girls played with their hair, but in vampiric society it was more proper for a woman's hair to be worn up, as hers was almost always at home. Now, free from restrictions she wore it down whenever possible. though it was still absent to play with her ear. Unable to meet his gaze any longer, she didn't lower hers, but she looked off to the side. It had been too ingrained in her to look down to anyone. Her brothers voice would always ring in her mind whenever she started to. 'You have power in your own right...and therefore, you look down to no one. Not even me.' Despite how comfortable she felt in Arjays presence, she didn't know what else to say or do. Since he had rose, she wondered if he was planning on leaving. For some reason the thought saddened her, and her pale blue eyes moved back over to meet his. Again, the color of them captivated her, the light from the fire flickering in their depths once again made them appear silver and she found herself unable to look away.

I frowned slightly, watching her. Instincts and urges that seemed quite foreign to me swirled about my mind. I let my gaze slide over her, wondering just what it was about her that stirred these feelings. It had been a long time since I had felt any kind of emotional attachment to anyone. The thought that I might be feeling any now was a bit scary. However, I found these developments hard to ignore. Stepping over to her, I placed my hands on each of her shoulders, pulling her form closer to me. I gently lowered my mouth to hers in a soft kiss, just to test out my newfound urge. It felt as though someone had lit a small fire inside me. Pulling away from her with a gentleness that I had never used before, I released her right shoulder, keeping my sword hand firmly fixed on her left. These emotions were new to me and I needed time to think them through. There was no point in arousing either of us if it was only going to be too dangerous for her. "I should go." I said after a long moment of silence. "It would be unwise for you to touch --" I broke off thinking of the sword. This thought made me pause. I could no longer feel the presence of the sword in my mind. Looking at my right hand where it was still touching her shoulder, I frowned. I pulled my hand away and the presence of the sword streamed back into my mind like water into a cup. I thought to ponder this later, tucking the information into the back of my mind. "You should be careful when coming through my door next time. Keep your hands away from the design when you push it open." With this, I turned and strode out of the room. I never spent much time in there anyway. I hated being confined to one room. I hated being inside the castle almost as much. There were times, I decided, when I hated even being alive. No big deal, right?

Christiana had been unable to move as she watched Arjay move toward her. The light kiss had stirred something in her that she didn't understand and she watched him with dazed eyes as he pulled away. Listening to his words, she watched him walk away from her, still feeling as if she were in a dream. The dream like state stayed with her as she slowly made her way out of his room and somehow managed to find her way back to her won. Pushing open the door, she brushed her hands briefly over the intricate carving of the butterfly before pushing it closed. It seemed she needed time to think, and she meant to have it, she thought, turning the lock on the door.

Frowning, Christiana slowly pulled open the door to her bedroom. She glared at the door across from her own, willing it to open and reveal her twin. He had been avoiding her. His mind was even blocked from hers, something that was a rare instance indeed. Shaking her head, she debated on whether she should go try to deal with her twins hard headed stubbornness now or find Arjay and deal with her confusing swirl of emotions for him first. The debate was actually a hard won, but Arjay won out in the end. A least when he'd kissed her, she enjoyed the odd sensations he'd evoked. Though she knew she was probably too young for things to go anywhere between her and the other vampire she still wanted to sort things out between them. Perhaps, she thought quietly, a slow smile curving her lips, one day when she was older, she'd see if maybe she could change his mind. But first, she thought, she needed to talk to him. She wasn't even sure what she would say, but figured it would come to her when she found him. Pulling her door, closed behind her, she gave a final glare at her brothers door. knowing that she'd deal with her twin later. Sighing, she looked about her and decided based on what little she knew of the man who had somehow caught her eyes, that he would go outside. For some reason she felt certain of this and decided not to waste any time by getting herself lost trying to make her way back to his rooms. She knew the way outside, and as she stepped into the bright rays of the full moon she tilted her face up to the sky with a smile. She was grateful for the moons rays, and hopeful that they would make it easier for her to spot Arjay. Closing her eyes, she spun in a small circle and paused, opening her eyes once more. She shrugged when she saw that she faced the mountains, that she and her brother had traveled through. deciding that it was as good of a direction as any, she started moving, looking for Arjay yes, but also just enjoying the night and the freedom of being out on her own.

Seth stood with his legs braced apart as he let his body move with the gentle swell of the sea. He was exhausted, he had moved quickly to find the information his father had asked of him. Both about Lyra and his children. Again, Seth couldn't help the pang of jealousy he felt when faced with either of Lucids actual blood children. Though it always made him feel guilty whenever it occurred as he couldn't begrudge lucid what little happiness the man managed to find in life. He wanted his father to be happy and was thrilled with the idea that Lucid would have others who cared, yet at the same time, he felt as if he was losing the father he had always known...the only man he had only ever gave a damn about aside from Gabriel. Though his affection for the demon didn't go as deep as his affection for the ancient. probably because as a child he had loved to annoy Gabriel and had looked at the demon as a rival for Lucid's attention. Sad, he thought now, but true non the less. Shaking his head, Seth docked his baby, and looking up gave his ever patient falcon the signal to fly that he had been waiting for. With Talons joyful cry echoing throughout the skies, Seth sighed and stepped off the ship onto the rocks in the small cove that Lucid had designed specifically for him. Moving toward the narrow passage that led to the path that led up the cliff side he paused as his gaze landed on his father. Lucid was standing by the cliffs edge opposite to the coves entrance. Wrapped tightly in his embrace was Lyra, and though Seth knew that if his father had been paying attention, he would have noticed Seth's arrival but he didn't think his father was paying to much attention to the water at the current moment. No...all his attention seemed to be on the woman in his arms. Seth felt a mixture of things, again that pang of envy that he couldn't seem to help. Sorrow at the thought of losing the closeness he shared with the ancient. Joy for Lucid at the thought that perhaps the vampire had found someone to share his life with. Too many conflicting emotions crowded in at once, and Seth debated on the wisdom of speaking to his father now. He should be happy for him dammit, and there was no way in hell he was going to spoil this for Lucid. Especially not due to him, his information, he decided could wait. Making his way up the path, Seth turned toward the Haven...and away from his father.

I watched Christiana leave the safety of the castle, wondering for a moment where she was going. It wasn't the first time this night that I had wondered about her. I actually had been thinking about the Hiratoshi and it's strange actions, or lack thereof. It wasn't often that the sword was totally withdrawn from my mind. I supposed that it would not be the last. Heaving a small sigh upon seeing her direction of travel, I leaped from the tower roof and moved easily though the air to the ground. The landing was superb, as usual, and I put forth a burst of speed to catch up with the female. "You may not want to go that way." I said, keeping my tone as matter of fact as I could. "There are bandits living in the mountains." I came to a stop about three feet from her, and eyed her curiously. "Where are you going, anyway?"

Not surprised to find him standing in front of her, Christiana smiled as she let her gaze move over him. Again she was captivated by the changing depths of his gaze. Though she had been confident she would know what she wanted to say when the time came, she was stunned to find her mind blank. "I...I was looking for you." she answered softly, and again she found herself unable to pull her gaze from his. She had wanted to talk to him...though for the life of her she couldn't remember about what. At the current moment all of her thoughts were consumed with the light brush of his mouth against her own that had occurred earlier. Granted, it couldn't even really be called a kiss, but she found herself wondering what it would be like if he really kissed her. Finally reminded of what she wanted to talk to him about, Christian opened her mouth to speak, but the words that came out were not the ones she meant to say, "Would you kiss me again...like you mean it this time?" It took several seconds for her words to register even in her own mind and though her eyes widened when she realized what she had said, it was too late to take the words back. She watched him for a reaction wondering what she could possibly say to fix her blunder. Her thoughts were racing from one rapid idea to the next on how to correct her mistake, and the only solution she seemed capable of thinking of was to laugh it off. Her gaze was still locked to his, watching those ever changing eyes without really seeing him.

[[OOC; O__O; Poor me..]]
I couldn't see my expression for lack of a mirror, but I'm pretty sure it was one of shock. I don't think, in all my time of living, that any female has asked me to kiss her. Humans have a saying; There's a first time for everything. I suppose whoever made that one up, they were in this exact situation. I'm sure several women would love to be here right now, asking that very same question, but somehow, I had always managed to avoid such a fiasco. Now face with it, I was clueless. "Er--I suppose I can do such a thing." I managed in a half mumble. "May I ask why you want me too?" It wasn't that I didn't want to. It was that I had to question her motives. It was just in my not-so-trusting character to ask a girl why she wanted me to kiss her. Of course, not that it happened often. But still.
End of message.
