I'm saving up for one

Last year I was at a comic covention and they had them there for people to try and I was all "NUU! MIIIIINNEEE!" hoggingit for an hour. xD

I have so many super-controversial opinions that I need to air SOMEwhere but can't in the guild because so many people would disagree and possibly be offended...but I'M offended by what THEY do, and that doesn't mean anything because nobody else is. Like when people talk about [---], when that offends ME a great deal because of my beliefs, but since it's the "acceptable" thing to say, I'd get murdered if I tried to say so.

Iunno...part of me empathizes with the whole don't-react-negatively-to-people's-secrets thing, but another part of me feels like it's kind of made it so that only one opinion is acceptable, and the others can't be expressed at all...I don't know. It's hard to have a place where everyone can voice their beliefs, because they will offend others, who will want to say so because it's the place where they can voice that, but in so doing, both people would be breaking the second rule.

It just pisses me off so much. >_< The fact that, not just in the guild, but in the entire world, only the opinion of the majority is allowed. I mean, if I were to say, ANYwhere in the guild, my true opinion of [---], not only would I get chewed out by half the guild, but I'd get lectured by the other half on not posting things that might offend people. When the truth is, people praising [---] offends ME. Whatcha gonna do 'bout THAT, huh? Nothing. Because most people agree. I couldn't even SAY that it offends me. People are allowed to post threads like that because they don't offend the MAJORITY. But they offend me.

I just wish this situation could be changed. That I could speak my opinions in the guild like the people with popular opinions can. That I could be free to even mention that something many people believe offends me. I want people to STFU about [---] because of how much it bothers me, but saying anything even remotely like that would never work, only cause me backlash.

It pisses me off so much. And none of it will ever change, because if I even breathed a word of it, I'd get attacked.

Well that would certainly be a lot less messy, huh? I don't know if I have any rubber bands though.

Even if you did turn out to be one of the few people on earth who wouldn't be offended by what I want to say...I'm more concerned with the fact that I could never say something like this in public, whereas the other "side" is being posted in the form of threads which have tens of supportive replies.

It's just not fair. *gripes*
