Lan the Arc Angel

PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2005 7:54 pm

Lan's heavy boots thundered closer and closer to the citadel. Lan's eyes held rage and a least bit of sanity, maddness swirled in his eyes blazeing like a fire that could not be put to rest with simple water. Silver, jagged, bolt of energy crackled around him, but were quickly put to rest by a sharp, stomach curtling, black smog that quickly enveloped it and strangled it's power away.

The silver giant's once beloved Ka'lana was no where to be found on his person. Instead the vile, corrupted, and twisted Nazgral lay in his loved one's sheeth. The raven black scimitar sucked the light around it and twisted it into darkness.

Deep ruinic carving sliced their ways across Lan's face, arms, chest, and legs. In his quest for peace and tranquility, away from the horrors of Mastema and the monster who slew his brother! But for naught...his horrors had caught up with him, forcing him to take drastic measures. Upon his brow rested a bronze circulet, the shineing metal catching bits of the silver light, that managed it's way through the smoke that now surrounded the giant now, and twisting it into a blood red jolt of energy that filled Lan's eyes.

The footsteps stopped, and Lan stood gazeing, longingly, at his target. The chrome colored citadel was like a gateway to hell and what ever dark realms were open in this world! They flocked here, converging and growing ever stronger. A small whisper caught Lan's attention, but he refused to turn away from the Citadel. Mastema probably already knew Lan was there, but unless Lan went to him, then he would not see the coward in combat!

"Lan, sweet and gentle Lan...what are you doing?"

Ka'lana's voice was like sweetened honey, the sound almost made Lan want to smile...almost.

"What do you want, woman?! I come for revenge!"

"Revenge? Is that the beloved Lan I went to bed with, every night?"

"He is dead...I am here now! And you are no longer needed or wanted. Now begon from my sight!"

Lan didn't see her, nor did he see the cloaked and gloomy figure of Nazgral standing beside him. He said nothing, but his presence alone shouted commands into Lan's ears. He told him to stop waisting time and slay Mastema, who had caused him so much pain.

"He whispers the death of you, Lan! Do not listen!"

"Silence woman! I am tired of listening, I am tired of waiting! The Silver Mother is nothing more then a chunk of rock!! I have learned much, and you have slept happily in your sword!"

"Happily? I am imprisoned, Lan! And the only reason I do not beg to be released into eternal slumber is because I want only to be with you."

Lan fell silent, wishing nothing more then Mastema's blood on his hands. Ka'lana fell silent in line with Lan, spectral tears running down her cheek for a breif moment before she finally disapeared. A sence of dread flooded Lan, but it was soon washed over by Nazgral's powerful presence. Again maddness filled his eyes, as did a rage never before felt by Lan. Not even when his brother was slain did he want to kill so badly! Not even when Nazgral took the life of his beloved wife!

*Micha as per usual says nothing and merely stares up at Mastema. Eecheb watches Trilla's freedom through one side of his crib*

Micha: . . .

Eecheb: >.>

*Trilla was strill romping about the king sized bed at her leisure*

Hmmm... *His grin fades and he stands up again, looking back out the window*....

Sho: *He snapped back to attention in the south tower*.... Well what do we have here....

Slayer: *He closes his book and vanishes from his spot in the north tower*

Zeno: *He was now heading back to the citadel, half way damaged and having trouble repairing himself* BZZTing angel..... all good for nothing. *He could see Lan off in the distance*

Xol felt an energy making it's way to the Citadel, albeit a large one... it still paled in comparison to his or Mastema's. However, it felt familiar. Cracking open his eyes, he leaned forward in the tree and gazed into the field to see Lan. That lumoxing giant. Mastema would eat him alive, but Xol also had a score to settle with the giant. In a flash of black mist, he was gone.

Appearing roughly twenty yards in front of Lan, he stood, arms crossed over his chest with a demonic grin. "Thought you were smarter than this Lan..."

Lan cared not for Xol's on comeing anymore then he cared for his own existance. Instead his focus was on the center of the vile place, the 100 story tower that scratched at the sky. The cries and howls of the Earthen Brother had long since died to Lan's ears, but the strength given to him through the earth had not faded from existance. The silver giant had yet to take hold of it, but he knew that before the day was done blood would be spilt and the earth would cry. The one thing that worried Lan the most was that he knew not who's blood would be spilt. Fear, anxiety, and worry seemed a distant memory as Nazgral's unholy grip took hold of Lan's mind and strung it dry of humane thoughts.

Not caring for being ignored, Xol's gauntlets appeared on his hands and up to just under his elbow. Dark Matter already surged through and around the unknown metal that consisted of the gauntlets. "I'm not one you should ignore Lan, but know this... I have plans for Mastema as well. You want to kill him? You have to kill me first because I'm not going to let him die by your hands." He growled ferociously, leaping backwards and putting even more distance between himself and the giant.

Still Lan cared not for Xol. If Xol wanted to get huffed up and throw a tizzy fit about nothing then so be it! Mastema was his target, and Xol would not stand in his way. Despite the ever growing rage in his body he refused to move, for he really did not care if Xol struck or not. Finally, however, he opened his mouth and spoke slowly. It sounded unnaturally unlike the giant, who's voice was normally peaceful and comforting...but now it was twisted and mad.

"Walk away Xol...you are naught in my shadow."

*Nana was paying attention to Eecheb at the moment, so she didn't notice Mastema frown and turn to the window right away. Instead, Nana was leaning over patting the lad's head lightly*

^^

Ah, you're a good boy aren't you?

*Eecheb looks up and smiles, understanding the word "good" was being applied towards him*

Eecheb: ^_^

Xol shrugged and stepped aside, his murky gray aura peeking out around the outline of his body as sky blue streaks of energy started to appear as well. "Know this Lan... your going to die. And I'll be there to laugh and degrade your corpse when Mastema lands the finishing blow. If you even get that far..." He chuckled, sneering.

Zeno: *He kept walking towards the barrier, waiting to see what Xol could accomplish by himself. Zeno's upper clothing was gone, his boot torn, and the right side of his face torn in a series of claw marks*

*Slayer and Sho had yet to make any appearances*

"We all die Xol...even you."

Lan's voice sounded as if he pittied the proud warrior. True enough Xol was a powerful fighter, and an individual to be feared...but his power was nothing. An old saying from his childhood managed it's way into Lan's mind, and he recited it as he slowly began to walk towards the citadel, regardless of Xol's actions.

"In the presence of angels, the devils will abscond."

Now Lan's voice was cryptic and dark, passing a hidden meaning to the proud fighter. Dark crackles of energy surrounded the massive 6 foot, raven black, scimitar at his waist. The deeply engraved ruinic markings on Lan's face, arms, legs, and chest began to bleed! Not the crimson red blood acustom to so many others, but a silvery metalic color. The bronze circlet across his brow glowed a faint blue color, matching that of the sky blue streaks of energy resignating off Xol.

Zeno: Hoy lummuck! *Zeno shouted* still pissed that I got your bro killed are ya? Keh..... Your bro got worked.... same'll happen to you.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2005 9:27 pm

Xol waited for Lan to pass him by before speaking, "Indeed Lan, but I'm not the Devil... I'm the sick b*****d that sealed him in his little tomb!" He growled, releasing an orb of Dark Matter from his right gauntlet that seared through the air and intentionally missed Lan's left shoulder. It streaked down and smacked into the ground, upheaving a large quantity of debris while Xol cloaked the power signature of a spear like Dark Matter beam before tossing it at Lan's right shoulder blade.

Not really meant to kill him, he just wanted to let Lan know that he would always be a threat and to never turn his back on him again.

Lan did not blink as the ball of Dark Matter was thrown over his left shoulder, his platinum hair whipping about his head in a wild fashion as the ground was sent into upheaval. A strange crackling energy surrounded Lan's massive left hand as he turned at Xol, unintentinally dodging the spear of Dark Matter. Pausing he glanced at his right shoulder, then back up to Xol, knowing that he would have been struck had he not turned.

"A coward's fight to strike a man's back...I'll remember not to give you the honor of a warrior's death in our next fight..."

Xol had lost any respect he once held in Lan's eyes...now he was nothing more then a super charged, wet nosed, child with too much power for his own good. The boy was no longer worthy of a title or a name...he would simply be seen as what he acted as...a child.

Zeno had finally decided to speak, as the creature enjoyed doing so much. No longer interested in Xol, Lan turned his attention to the thing that assisted in his brother's death.

"Creature...do not taunt me. Your destruction is meaningless, as is your existance. Your power is stolen from others...do not think you can hold yourself in the same league as I!"
