True enough. Not uncommon it seems though.
Honestly, sick of trying to play storyteller myself anymore. I can run a short term plot, but when I try long term stuff people start skimming my ideas, and ignoring details showing that they're presented choices A, B, C, or D as the only options 'legal' in a situation, and instead choosing a choice 'E' that is more or less god-mode-ing to change the direction of a planed plot in the few places I've free-form RPed since last posting here. It's one thing to improv, but situations where a whole trip is glazed over because someone just 'finding' the item the group as a whole is supposed to be teaming up to look for tends to burn me out when the quest is supposed to be the plot, more or less keep having such happen and it makes me wonder why people want me to take the lead if they don't want to play my quests.
But bleh, I just am tired of not getting to be the one playing the RP as compared to running them. If anyone checks in here and can point me somewhere to look for online RP sortof free-form literate like we've had here let me know, else I'll probably be one of the ones not checking in anymore anyway.

Boredom mostly, random avatar ideas since it's far better then most anything my art skill will produce, lack of interesting things on Reddit, plus about 30 ish days till I can make something symbolic to myself about vanishing for good.
Also Yarr Guess I've gotta reference talk like a pirate day if my random show up day is said day.

Perhaps it's time to purge the guild and start fresh, get people who are interested in RPing, work with other threads in the main forums and in other guilds, etc. That's how the GNA got its name out there after we moved in here.
Or, you know, move back into a single thread in the main forums. Then give me back the guild I bought....

Single thread idea is great till someone leaves in the middle of a big group RP that's moving quick without wrapping up their 'turn'. Biggest problem with just about every method to jump-start us is that it requires everyone be online at once... which is easy the first time, and maybe several times thereafter, but keeping it up would be a problem.
But yeah, purge the guild to the archives again, or entirely a fresh start. Just get people interested and someone who can run the show. and suck it up on the guild, I could buy 75,000 separate ones with 8 sub-forums each, lol
I mean if it can be done I'll try and stick around a bit longer then I originally planned to.

H4X is right, it's great until someone leaves.
What's the point of starting over every time someone leaves? We're just going to purge 3 times over several months? Also, Tutsumi, you're never here. It's basically the same participation as Neko. Wait that's not true, Neko RP'd.

*shrug* Honestly given how I doubt many(or any of us?) are daily visitors to this site anymore, for anything to work we'd have to run like a tabletop campaign, get everyone to agree to show up at some point, for x amount of time, and each take their turn.
Run story arcs based off who can make it, if someone drops start a new campaign and table the old if not the characters as well depending on how 'important' the questline is.
But at that point we're getting to where I probably might as well be playing with a group face to face or using a site designed around using some rule system or other.

Quote: "The T-rex bites you and picks you up. You are hanging from its tooth unconscious." "Are my bagpipes ok?" "Well, what was in your pack? He pretty much bisected it." "Ten pounds of caltrops." *several increasingly frantic dice rolls and one resigned sigh later* "The t-rex is dead." Reading stuff like this always makes me think of this site.
