Ana Helios Fenrir Graveheart Ana Helios Fenrir Graveheart Ana Helios I can see you're enjoying yourself stare Should I not be? emotion_awesome btw I came up with a little more description for our Wing Chun fighter, as well as what we can do for any "super" stages the characters might go through. Basically we just assign a neon kinda color to character movements and let the line flow with their movements much like the tail lights of the motorcycles in Akira, if you've ever seen that movie. Hell, we could even use it for just their normal moves if you like. I just thought it'd be a nice effect that could make the game stand out amongst other fighter-games. That actually sounds pretty cool, it also reminds me of "rage" mode in tekken where if you get injured enough your strikes glow red. Though it was just a solid red that just faded away, different colors, brighter colors will make the attacks landing seem so much different. Also, what a completed ultra attack should look like! ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPzHtKow7esYeah! Like that! Different and brighter colors following the strikes will make a cool impact, I feel. This was how I was going to interpret "Ki" through their different auras, so every fighter should have their own hue. Like I said before, just because this first game doesn't have any super powers doesn't mean it can't be flashy. whee I lol'd at the moon one. Those finishers are pretty crazy. Well ki has always been there, maybe I should even put something there, a ki bat that fills up during a battle and shrinks when you use a special attack. And it needs to be like...full to use an ultra. Some of those seem like something that can be used in Ludus right now! Eh, I'm against having combo moves that widdle down your special bar. I mean usually its using those kinds of attacks that increase your meters, not decrease them. You know what we could do, we could have a split off. Once your meter fills up you can either use your Ultra Attack or trigger the rage-feature by pulling both of the triggers or something.

The ultra move really depends on what you like, if you want to finish a match with a really flasy technique that'll piss off who you were just fighting then there it is, rage can finish the battle too, even if it has a ten second use.

They aren't finishers in the least, they just have the damage capabilities to be one if your enemy has some injuries. I just wanted it to be like if you finish an enemy with the attack you get maybe a special animation, or maybe a special k.o. sign.

The same thing could be said about different dialogue options when the character faces an opponent that they have stronger feelings towards (arch nemesis, best friend, ect.). What're we gonna do about the voices btw? Can we get voice actors or will we be doing most of our story through speech bubbles?

And like all good fighting games some face-offs need a special intro animation, but first we have to figure out who mixes in with who.

I assume the stages we have will be based around key events in the plot-line? Yup, and the music. So...say something and I'll see how I can help. Well we should really start talking about the storyline sometime since that could help us develop the characters. Music-wise I don't have much of a preference but it should definitely be either rock or hip-hop/dance kind of music. Anything that makes you feel pumped and ready for a fight. Examples of this have been used well in previous fighting genres like the rap in Third Strike, or the continuing rock in Guilty Gear. Personally songs that come to mind are songs like X gonna give it to ya- -DMX, I Won't Back Down -Face to Face, Name of the Game -Crystal Method, ect. I don't know though, this is just the kind of stuff I like to listen to when I play games. lol Stage-wise we'll plan them out through fights in the story, as we just said, but there is one stage I had in mind. I'd like a stage that takes place in a movie theatre, where you can see the big screen showing the movie in the background. Maybe just for added humor it could be showing a fight scene from a movie like Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris in Way of the Dragon. We don't have to show the actual clip, but just a looping animation would be enough I think. Also, character-wise I never told you about the Wing Chun fighter. She's a punk/goth girl with black in pig-tails but with neon-pink, blue, green, or otherwise colored highlights. She wears eye-liner and has a very loud and rebellious attitude. In addition she has a small chest, has a stud in her tongue, possibly a belly-button ring, and a dragon tattoo running down one of her limbs. It suits her style which is both highly aggressive and masks its power inside a constant flurry of strikes.
