Gemstone We're literally just going to sign the legal paperwork, my mum and his dad signing as witnesses. That is not really eloping, Gemstone. If your mom and his dad are signing as witnesses, that kind of cuts out the whole "without parental consent" part of the eloping definition. Plus it sounds like you two are not exactly "running away" either. When you go to punch me for being the definition-nazi, try not to punch me directly in the face - I'm ugly enough as it is. sweatdrop

I belive the position of definition nazi has been taken for a while now. Though I can't place who, so I'll have to get back to you on that. "Clarification Nazi" is free for the taking though. All joking aside, I don't think your post was punch worthy, so no worries. ^_^

~laughs~ I'm only referring to it as eloping because there will be no ceremony or tons of people. That's all. Is there something else I can call it? smile

I want to dress like my current avi so bad!!! I have the skirt and can get the other stuff fairly cheep but not quite cheep enough at the moment. Sigh. I've asked this before but I'll ask again, is there a thread for posting our real life pictures some where? I could have sworn there was but I can't find it anywhere.

Not to mention a time machine that could fit on your back. The smallest one I've ever seen was the size of a car.
Gem: Hooray for simple weddings! Care to invite your fellow guildmates? I'll buy my own lunch rofl

Gemstone xd Lillian's story is one of the many reasons my fiance and I are going to Elope this June. (We've been officially engaged since November) I actually hate being the centre of attention, so that rules out a walk down the isle and standing in front of a crowd. I also don't want to spend money I could put towards a house on things like napkins and all that nit-picky stuff. That and everything that has the label 'wedding' on it suddenly costs more than something identical that isn't labeled as such. whee We're literally just going to sign the legal paperwork, my mum and his dad signing as witnesses. Then we put on our rings and have lunch with my mum and his dad, and then the two of us take off to a hotspring for a week or something. xd I'm not opposed to weddings, just never wanted one myself. I'm more keen on just being married without the formal stuff proceeding it. xd I watched a co-worker plan her wedding herself in the course of a year, she was pulling out her hair practically, and her budget of $10,000.00 got blown completely. I thought her budget itself was staggering. eek For one day! I know most women want it, but it's so very, very not for me. xd I hope your bridesmaid experience is wonderful, Lillian! biggrin Will you share pictures with us? Since you asked so nicely, I will share pictures with yal...even though it won't be fore a while. My brother's fiance is really looking forward to her wedding. She is is doing it on a small budget, but wants to find someplace nice. I think it is good that you are doing something that makes you happy. Weddings are not for everyone. I feel a small wedding would be nice with close family, but rather the money to go towards something I would enjoy.
