Yay, I got my thesis up and going a notch again. This is so exciting and surreal in the same time. I feel that I just started this school yet I'm doing the last "big thing" already. So odd.

I agree with you Thistle, this contest has not only brought us chatty people closer than we were it has helped bring those who may not have felt compelled to post into the fold. We have several new-ish members that we never would have gotten to know without the help of the contest so I am very thankful for it. ^_^ *hugs for everyone* 4laugh

That's great news Lillian! My dad and his girlfriend got engaged over Christmas break/New Years, but they haven't set a date yet. Nevertheless I am still getting into shape anyway by walking to and from school every day (about a mile to 1.5 miles I'd guess). It's good exercise and I'm feeling better already (only my third day hehe).
It was SO hot today though, probably close to 80 degrees (I'm here in Florida XD). So I was sweating all the way home. Now I have to go get ready for work. booooo

I'm just North of you in Georgia....and I can't believe how nice the weather is. I'm in disbelief that it is January.
I got to get back to the gym. I really get into the classes once I start taking them.
Only thing that sucks is up sister is upset that she is not a Bridesmaid. Which I don't blame my brother's fiance. She said everyone would have a part in the wedding.....didnt mean you would be a Bridesmaid. It just so happens that I really took the time to get to know her and become her friend when my brother started dating and living with her when all my sister did was see her as the enemy.
Family drama. Don't you love it.
Well I am off to school now.

Sagitarian_Insomniac I know, where is the global warming when your need it, lol? It's so cold outside I always look like I'm smoking. blaugh Lilygwen how are you back in school already? eek I still have like 2 weeks left! confused question My school started this week. We have quite short vacations during the winter. Few weeks here and there. During the summer we have bit over 3 months vacation from school. Me and my boyfriend bought a wake-up-light today. It's kind of an alarm clock that has a light in it. The light gradually brightens up during an half an hour and it's supposed to give you nice and relaxed waking up because it's bit like sunrise. It also has a radio so if the light doesn't wake you up it will. smile I think it'll be nice since the mornings are so dark in here still. Also I'll be able to read properly in the bed now because that's bit better light that our previous one. I'll give you an review of it tomorrow after we've tested it. xd

yes, I want a report on it to see how well it works for you. Of course I have this habit of waking up before my alarm anyway.... which I suppose is good. I trained myself to wake up to light music years ago because the bleating of the typical alarm clock was offensive and harsh to me. I don't know if light would do it for me though, it would be interesting to try it.

xd Lillian's story is one of the many reasons my fiance and I are going to Elope this June. (We've been officially engaged since November) I actually hate being the centre of attention, so that rules out a walk down the isle and standing in front of a crowd. I also don't want to spend money I could put towards a house on things like napkins and all that nit-picky stuff. That and everything that has the label 'wedding' on it suddenly costs more than something identical that isn't labeled as such. whee We're literally just going to sign the legal paperwork, my mum and his dad signing as witnesses. Then we put on our rings and have lunch with my mum and his dad, and then the two of us take off to a hotspring for a week or something. xd
I'm not opposed to weddings, just never wanted one myself. I'm more keen on just being married without the formal stuff proceeding it. xd I watched a co-worker plan her wedding herself in the course of a year, she was pulling out her hair practically, and her budget of $10,000.00 got blown completely. I thought her budget itself was staggering. eek For one day! I know most women want it, but it's so very, very not for me. xd
I hope your bridesmaid experience is wonderful, Lillian! biggrin Will you share pictures with us?
