Luke was about to answer when Anya returned. "I let her go back to that boy. It was a boy, wasn't it?" he asked knowingly before sighing. "And please tell my darling wife here to stop trying to kill me by punching my heart..."

"It was that raven demon that never came to class. I have no idea what happened or why, but he was dying. She showed up here, demanded I go save him, which leads to the attempt at making her stay. As for you, Kaya, I am not in the mood for bringing anyone back from the dead tonight, so please refrain from killing Luke until tomorrow. Seeya," she said before heading down the hallway. Kaya frowned and hugged Luke. "That raven demon? Wasn't there something....Off about him?"

Luke accepted his wife back into his arms, cuddling with her. "Yeah... We never did figure out what it was. Oh well." he said with a smile, nuzzling Kaya's hair softly.

"But shouldn't we at least try to find out! What if he's crazier than we are? What if he's not good for her? At least we met Madden before Kuro ran off with her..."
When Maria arrived back at the village, she didn't have to be stopped, due to her pendent that allowed her in and out, but she rushed to the elder's house anyways. When she got there, the healer was leaving. Stopping him, she asked what had happened. He just told her to go inside. So she did, seeing Shiro asleep on the couch and not looking like he was going to die. She sighed in relief, pushing her hair from her eyes.

Shiro stirred in his sleep slightly. His eyes fluttered open, seeing Maria here. He smiled a little at her. "Hey..."

Maria knelt down by the couch, raising her eyebrows. Was that a smile? "Did Anya try to kill you after she saved your life?"

Shiro shrugged a little. "She waved her hand in front of me then said something. I didn't really hear." he said, nestling into the blanket. He then looked to her. "You going to stick around for a while?"

Maria was caught off guard by his question, and she tried to figure out an answer. "I, um, y-yeah? To keep you from almost dying again?"

Shirp laughed softly, his mind in a bit of a fog. "Ya know... It doesn't really suck as badly when you have someone there with you." he said,glancing to her.

Maria tilted her head and continued to frown. She had no idea what he was talking about... "Well you can't travel for a little bit. Not until you over almost dying."

Shiro nodded some. "Alright... Guess I'll... Just sleep... for a while..." the boy mumbled, his voice trailing off as he went back to sleep. He was jsut so exhausted. The spirit had provided so much energy, but now he had almost none left, leaving him exhausted easily.

Maria smiled a little as he fell asleep, and she shook her head. That was like him, it seemed. She leaned against the couch, resting her chin on her knees.

Shiro snoozed contently for a while before waking back up. His stomach was hurting. "Hey... Do we got any food left?" he asked, glancing to Maria.
