Welcome Tirno 3nodding
I'm currently reading The Lays of Beleriand. It's very interesting in a sense that alot more literary devices are used and the quality of the writing is simply magnificent. I have, however, grown tired of the same damn stories being told over and over again with slight alterations.
Most of the HoME books I've read repeat the sotry of Beren and Luthien and Turin Turambar. They are great stories but you don't need to make a whole other set of books to repeat them. The fact that most of the book is made up of poems and they take up alot less of the page than the other books took, it takes alot less time to read it.
Just thought I should share. consider reading the book, it's quite good. But be prepared to scratch your head trying to guess what some of the words and phrases mean.

Syffer: I know what you mean xd I'm reading Return of the Shadow which is even more repetitive, believe it or not. I keep taking breaks and reading other books in between...because it will be like "A Long-Expected Party - First Version" then read that and you get "Second Version" and it keeps going! I think that one had four different versions xd

We are seriously needing some activity here...
Bluering Bearer: You got accepted because you finally hit the right switch and used the form. It was the only thing that stopped you from entering earlier. I hold no grudge for what happened in Middle Earth...eugh...I mean... LOTR Subforum. You are most welcome, for we are always seeking fresh blood for our ranks.
Tirno: Be welcomed to this fair (but fairly inactive) Guild that was meant to be the Hall of Knowledge of Gaia, in what concerns Tolkien, and a refuge for those weary of the blatant ignorants and hellspawn that are illiterate fangirls. Be free to post something pertinent here in this sticky, and in the topics listed below said sticky.

Yeah it does seem as if this guild has died, if only momentarily.

Eh things will pick up. Some people are on trips and some are finishing school. I wasn't on very much during my finals week.
