In the sea of blue bottles, Margarita took up Myrrh's offer to try it out herself. Oh was she looking forward to painting those bottles red...
...Or at least she would have, if they landed the way they were supposed to. Harrumphing, she grabbed another bucket of rings to try again.

That was really quite a bit of deja vu there. Margarita narrowed her gaze, "Well, my friend, it seems we are evenly-matched..." It was unclear whether she was talking to the bottles of the game, or to Myrrh at her side. At any rate, she picked up her last pail to try once more.

And now, for the hardest (for Cecily) game of all: ring toss. She always seemed to miss at least once, usually two or three times. Would this time be the same, or would her good luck from the balloons hold out?
Thus far, it looked like her lack of luck from the fish was returning, as one of the rings clinked off to the side instead of landing where it should.

Welp. Time to gather her courage and try again. Cecily still had two tries left, and she needed to make the most of them. Especially if she wanted any sort of prize! This time, two clinked off to one side, and the little girl fought down a wave of disappointment. This game really wasn't a very fair one.

The last try, and then Cecily was going home. She was beginning to get rather tired of and unhappy with the carnival, and was definitely ready for a break. She wasn't even really looking at the targets this time, instead tossing the rings blindly and only peeking through her fingers at the end result. And she took her consolation ticket with a sigh, just wanting to go home now.
