If I had to celebrate either of them, I'd choose Thanksgiving.
It's a family holiday, turkey is better than pumpkin, and I don't think I'd like having my door knocked on every 2 minutes, and most importantly, I wouldn't like to get to be the receiving end of a 'trick' or two.

I've never been to a ski resort. I'd choose the beach. A nice hotel with a good view, a nearby beach and someplace to go walk around is all I need for a vacation.
