Not really. It may be your guild but it's not like you're the only on in it. We should be able to hold the occasional conversation without you keeping things moving.

Well I tried when I brought up Goodreads. Other than that all that's been going through my head is a bunch of ranting.
Though I did find out that I've got a decent pay rate for when I elder sit. Even though I don't get many hours since I'm just their back up person.

Every so often I get a sort of itch to reinvigorate my religious or witchcraft-related discussions and then I'll go join a forum or something and realise nothing the people there are saying is interesting, or that I don't know how to start up a conversation. It'll be all "oh hey, so, Paganism!" and they'll be all "yeah!" and then it just sort of trails off. Plus all the dumb people! ********! I met someone yesterday who said Wicca wasn't a Pagan religion, because Pagans sacrificed. And that the definition of Pagan was "follower of an earth-centred witchcraft religion" and that Wicca's definition was "more or less the same thing" and I was all ".............the ********? How are they different then?"
I mean god.
But even if you take out all the stupid people, I can't work out what sort of conversation it is that I'm craving.
Maybe it's something else I'm looking for, but I don't know what it is or how to find it, so I just sort of veer into Pagan forums hoping for some sort of intellectual stimulation on the subjects.

*blinkblink* Wow... That person.
But I gotta say that's more or least why I had joined these two Kemetic forums but then its kinda like. What now? I can't even get a good random conversations started on those forums. So its kinda disappointing.

I'm almost tempted to go through old threads in various guilds and sort of bump them to get a new round of responses.... but I think if I do, no one's going to comment anyway. Like a lot of interesting conversations are still there, but no one really commented to begin with and will anyone comment this time around? and you feel silly making new threads that are so similar to old ones.

You mean that guy that just got defended by the thread OP? Zane saw me getting ready to rage when I randomly checked Gaia while at his house. He even rolled his eyes at what was going on. I feel weird posting in old thread because I feel like everyone's already posted their opinion if they had one to begin with. Though I might one night when I can't sleep. I probably could have actually done that tonight/last night.

I figure, if the thread's old enough people often can't remember what they posted in the first place, or even whether they did or not. And even then their opinion may have changed since then.
Are you seeerious? Why do these people come into ED?

I'll probably do that tonight then. After wing night with my sister.
Dead serious. I have no idea. I almost went off when replying like "Are you ******** retarded?" I'll let you read it over before I start ranting more about it. I can't even tell if in her reply she's trying to tell me Alexandrian Wiccans are believe whatever you want to believe, or not.

Okay, found it. I read over that all yesterday. I was trying to ignore that guy. It wasn't very hard as he seemed to saying little of value but I do see the issue. I'd probably be all up in it if he were trying to claim that Odinn=Hermes. Yes, that's a thing that I've come across before.

Seriously? People have said that Odinn is Hermes? cat_eek
That's actually something that really bugged me about when the Greeks took over Egypt. All the associations that don't completely make sense but people still say They're the same. Like another one is Bast is Artemis. They were both warriors. But if I remember right in some of Her lore, Bast is a mother.
But with that guy I was going to ignore it because I was skimming the first time and then when I went back in the second time that's when I saw the Thoth/Hermes thing and I couldn't stop myself.
