lol guild quote notifications dramallama

@Esiris: Let us know how your compost bin works out. Haven't even looked at seeds yet. I have lots that I collected from my garden previously but we're moving in a month so that's a no go.

Glad you're feeling better? I get chills at night an got myself some hot cocoa. With Silk almond milk, which is really thick, it's amazing.

@ Vanilla eXee: That's awesome!! I can't hand sew to save my life.

When you're in the guild, do you get new post notifications? The little paper in the circle - does that go orange for you? I love guilds but hate them because I never get the "new post" icon. I do in the regular forums and subforums. emo

Today I helped my mom in law clean two houses. (She has a small cleaning business to keep her busy.) Holy moly. She doesn't use natural cleaning products - so I had this amazing olfactive experience of Vim, Murphy's Oil, some spritz for to "protect your investment", Windex, Lysol and other stuff. I'm still wheeling from it. Not only does that stuff give me headaches and stomach cramps but I have these insane, and I mean insane food cravings - like pickles, popcorn, chocolate, water, spinach, soybeans.

Thank you! I can't either, I promise. If I turned it inside out and showed you the seems you'd be rofl'in.

It only turns orange for me in guilds if quite a few people have posted in the same thread in a short amount of time. I'm sooooo happy that we now have guild quote notifications <3 I barely go into the forums, mostly just stick to guilds so this new feature is amazing.

@ Esiris: Yeah, it's weird how hyper sensitive I am now. It wasn't that long ago (7 or so years) that I would use all of that stuff for cleaning my own house without so much as a sniffle. I ended up having to lay down and missed my workout. cry

Today was my last day as a volunteer at the aquarium (since I am moving something like a thousand miles away come Tuesday.) I've been there for roughly 2 years (normally volunteers only stay around 6 months, as that's the required commitment. Awesome people stay on longer. Well, I'm just gonna quote what I already wrote about it in another guild, since that sums it up nicely:

Vanilla

I had my last day at the aquarium today. I did indeed cry on the train ride home. And then on the bus ride home.

It was a pretty good day. Normal morning stuff. I fed the ray and petted him. They feel really soft but also rough. I had my exit interview at the Volunteer office and the guy there said he heard that Saturday Freshwater people were a really tight knit group. I was like hell yes we are. My supervisor took us to lunch in the north end (delicious pizza, yum!) and to Modern's pastries. Then we went back and fed the anacondas. Took us two hours, but they ate everything. Ashley did not eat which was sad but she was in the middle of a shed so I didn't really expect her to anyway. The other 3 all ate. Then after that we did some cleaning stuff, made a turtle dock with our awesome crafting skills, changed a light bulb, took out the trash, and it was time to say good bye. I started tearing up as I was walking out, but I managed to hold back until I got on the train.

@Pirhan: Happy gaiaversary!

Today is my Gaiaversary.

heart Happy Gaiaversary!

Today I went geocaching. I am new to the sport and absolutely terrible at it. Since I have only been able to find about half of the caches I've gone looking for, I am seriously considering only going after virtual caches which I can be relatively certain will be where they are supposed to be and somewhat easier to find. Then again, the whole reason I wanted to try geocaching was so I would have an extra excuse to find new green spaces. I also like the idea of cache in/ trash out where you clean up any area you go to.

Ohhh geocaching sounds superfun! I DLed an app on my android for it but twas confusing. ;_;

But today I bought a diva cup and now im super excited for my period to start(for once)! Augh not supposed to start till the 14th, lol.

I also bought a solar charger to keep in my far for an emergency battery in case my cell dies and my car breaks down(it hangs off my rear-view mirror and I have a spare charging USB cord in my car cuz I thought my cords were faulty when it was really the outlet at work >_>)

Thanks guys! heart

@ Vanilla: That would be such an awesome job! When I was in the Dominican, I swam with rays (sharks and dolphins!) and have to say that the rays were by far, the best. I wish everyone had jobs that they loved that much. (Yours reminded me of my garden centre job.)

@ dragon: I wanted to do geocaching. I had a GPS thinger, but it only worked best with a clear view of the sky and was a battery blackhole. Now that you reminded me, I can do that with my new phone. Are you using a GPS or a smart phone/similar?

@ Sakakikala: I was totally like that when I ordered my Lunette. Other than first day cramps, I still get excited to use it. I hope your Diva Cup works out really well. (For anyone wanting an app, this one is awesome! I think I downloaded all the menstrual apps in existence before settling on this one.)

--

Yesterday I had the best YogaX work out. Home alone and the cats weren't bothering me. It was so good - I did crane without touching my toes on the ground (though I had to use a pillow for balance but seriously 120% improvement) and I did shoulder pose really straight and non wobbly. So much nicer to do yoga when you have no distractions. Unfortunately I think I pulled an adductor muscle so I'm hobbling around.

Annnd... my father in law is once again cutting his finger nails in the kitchen. Not even over the sink. Just randomly in the kitchen. User Image

I tried MyDays. I liked PeriodTracker because it has the cute little picture. I emailed them with a picture of my cat Bones and said MAKE MY KITTY A PICTURE. And they're like, lol okay. 3nodding

I looked at scvngr. Not really a sharey type of person. I'm going to look at some geocaching apps and get one of those. So yeah, if you want to start a thread, but all means!

Ok! :3
and lol, with scvngr, im doing it to earn the coupons. At work I have this sort of vantage point. Its in town and it lists EVERYTHING in town, haha, on a day where I had pretty long run time, i scored 100+points by checking in everywhere one my breaks and lunch. xD

@Pirhan & Sakakikala:

I am using my iPhone with an app called Seek Cache (free) for connecting to geocaching.com to find nearby caches, and MotionX GPS lite for iPhone to navigate to the cache. If you have a different smartphone I have heard there are other geocaching apps available for different phones (and others that work on the iPhone as well).

Today I spent the morning job-hunting. I am still determined to have the perfect career where I can set the world on fire. If that doesn't happen soon, though, I will have to settle for whatever will pay off the student loans and put a roof over my head. (Still happy that I went back to school and finished, though.)

Wow! You guys are busy!

I totally missed all the Valentine's Day festivities. Thank you for remembering me---those valentines were a nice surprise when I logged in!

We have been surfing the weather here---3 Thursdays in a row, set records for temps, two low and one high, with tornado watches and warnings already. I just love the plains!

The porch is full of flats of seedlings which I need to move because the cats want to sleep on them. Picked up some cedar fence pickets to make raised garden beds out of---couldn't resist, they were less than $2 each! The goats keep escaping, so we made them a climbing tower from a couple of big plastic barrels and some pallets, which they seem to enjoy. We really made them happy when we put the doghouse on top! but we had to take it down, all the goat happy-dancing made it wiggle so much that we were afraid it would fall on them. So that seemed to be disappointing to those in Goatland, but it's for their own safety. We'll figure out some way to do it right, then they'll have their castle again.

I had the best time at one of the local farm stores yesterday----the greenhouse is up, some of the fruit and nut trees are in, and the tubs of baby birds are full! You can hear all the chirping the moment you open the door! Bought lots of onion sets, shallots, and garlic. Pecan trees are calling --------

Yeah, the pinched nerve is A-OK, and just in time! I'd hate to waste Spring on the sidelines.

I bought my wig today!

lol bathroom
lol hallway

I uploaded the first picture on Facebook, one like, and two comments: "love the hair!" and "love your hair like that, don't ever cut it!" within fifteen minutes.

rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

I'm killing myself laughing. By the end of the month, I'm going to donate my hair and shave my head. xd xd xd

Seriously, killing myself laughing in my corner here. (This is what it normally looks like. And this is the kanekalon wig by itself: link) The funny look on my face on the bathroom picture is because I showed my father in law (he just lol'd) and then I was taking these pictures and he was going from the basement to upstairs and passing the bathroom.

@ Sakakikala: I'll probably check it out again when I'm back in Vancouver. There'd be a lot more places I'd be more likely to eat at. Vancouver is more open to geeky stuff too.

@ Dragon: Oh I hope you find something you love! Ever since my garden centre job, I've had such a different outlook on jobs. If you do something you love, it really makes all the difference. <3

@ Sunset: Glad you liked the Valentines!

What zone are you in? I should start thinking of planting stuff. I won't be able to do my own, but my mother in law has a small garden that I'm going to seed. She just needs some topsoil and compost.

Goats are adorable. I can't wait until I get a few. And chickens! I remember getting a box of chicks. OMG SO CUTE.

Glad to hear your nerve is better. heart
