A fanfiction I once read where Snape hated the main girl because she accidently spilt a shrinking potion in his lap in her second year, because it sounds like 'reduce' which is a simile to 'shrink.'

The scene in the chapter 'In the Forest Again'. I know they aren't ghost, but it comes to mind. I think that was my favorite chapter in the series.
