Those who are not around this weekend may show up fashionably late if you would still like to join in with the festivities.

Thanatos_M No offense Kobei but the avatar is kinda lacking the epic feel..... Well, no offense Thanatos, but I must kindly disagree with your ignorant opinion. Kobei, that's a very powerful depiction and even as a pixilated avatar on some anime site it's moving for those of us who take pride in who we are. And those of us who don't, well they can get the ******** out of this great country and move to Canada for all I care.

Jim Hensley Well, no offense Thanatos, but I must kindly disagree with your ignorant opinion. Kobei, that's a very powerful depiction and even as a pixilated avatar on some anime site it's moving for those of us who take pride in who we are. And those of us who don't, well they can get the ******** out of this great country and move to Canada for all I care. Most useless and perhaps contradictory (depending on how one defines opinion) quote ever. Mostly because what I said was, in fact, not meant to be an opinion; I merely meant to say that the avatar did not inspire any feelings for me, much less epic ones. I also never said it was Kobei's fault that it failed to do so. Given than there are no 'building suits' on gaia, I suppose it's difficult to make a depiction of a plane crashing into the building. The fire effect IS nice; it just doesn't make me think of 9/11 when I see that avatar. It doesn't really remind me of any of those historic images. A unique theme? Yes. A nice intention? Yes. Epic? Not feeling it, sorry.

Actually, Than, forget it. You're not worth the trouble of talking to, really. Here I had a nice little post all ready for you, but I came back and edited it because I'd rather not have your idiocy warping what I have to say. To be quite frank with you Mastema, you're hardly worth mention outside of moments of your almost absurd ability to prove just how truly stupid you are, so arguing with you over something that you likely have no idea about is mundane at best.
Oh and just though I should say that the term 'ignorant opinions' is not contradictory in any way, shape, or form since someone's personal opinion could be lacking in knowledge. Especially if that someone wasn't a citizen of the country in question, hadn't lost their loved ones without provocation, hadn't had to sit there and watch as desperate men and women (some of whom had been known or even loved) fought with everything they had to survive only to have the towers collapse down on top of them!
So why don't you put yourself there, Twilight. See through the eyes of the children who had to watch as mommy or daddy's office building crumbled into a fiery tomb with them still inside. Or place yourself into the hearts of those men and women who had friends or family, your brothers or sisters hanging perilously from a window before the shock wave of the second impact, the concussion from the blast, hurled them from their last chance at life. Imagine for a moment how that must feel to watch this live footage and not be able to do a damned thing to help the woman you were about to propose to, or a brother who had always protected you when you were in trouble. If you can sit there and tell me, after you've been through the hellish nightmare that these people have, and tell me you don't feel a power beating alongside your heart then I'll call you a liar!

If you can sit there and tell me, after you've been through the hellish nightmare that these people have, and tell me you don't feel a power beating alongside your heart then I'll call you a liar! Hence why I added 'depending on how one defines opinion.' I've heard so many definitions of the word it almost has no meaning to me. And you seem to have let your feelings (be them about me or the avatar's theme) cloud your judgment and your response to me. Allow me to straighten things out for you. The events and feelings surrounding 9/11 had pretty much nothing to do with what I posted, only how you responded to it. My point this entire time is that the avatar simply did not represent any of those feelings for me. Even if I saw that avatar anywhere else on gaia, even if the name accompanying it was something 9/11 related, I would not, if not barely, be able to place the avatar with anything that reminds me of 9/11. And again, I have nothing against Kobei for making the avatar; I just don't feel anything when I look at the cartoonish mangle of avatar items. If you want my opinion, Kobei's forte lies more with art, so perhaps she should draw her own rendition of the event, which could be far more accurate to her vision, and use that instead. To hell with all of the idiots on the avatar arena.
