I got some Southern pride today. emotion_dowant
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_honor_(Southern_United_States)

Wait...huh? You learn something new everyday...

Indeed. This is actually significant, psychologically speaking, because it suggests why the South is so for the death penalty and such. Good stuff, good stuff.

btw check out the weather system idea I put up in the debate thread when you get a moment.

I'd check it right now, but I'm busy drawing the outline for...*checks drawing*
"AngelXFenrirXEmma Smooooch" I'll check now anyway, not like I'm doing much else.

Smooch? o_O lol

Right now I'm trying to think up names for our characters. I came up with a muay thai character that's actually meant to be a young kid, you know like 12 or 13 or something? But idk if the stature of a kid would screw up the fight system, kinda like Yoda in Soul Calibur 4.

No, Smooooch.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5Ry4e5bWL4

It's collision based instead of hit-box based so it probably would mess something up, if he's really meant to be small then he's gotta have some drawbacks so people don't play as an extremely broken character.

Well in the manga his whole appeal is that the muay thai has exceptional jumping heights so that they can reach high with their knees. So people would underestimate the kid and try to just hold him at a distance, and then the kid makes this amazing 5-6 foot jump off the ground and smashes his knee into their face. lol He was the youngest of the Street Fighter gang, and possibly the last male. I figure we'd have about 4-5 males for each group and 2-3 females.

I'm actually going to leave designing the whole Martial Art club leader characters up to you. I only ever focused on designing the gang-members since Fenrir seeks them out and recruits them first in the manga. I never got so far in as to deal with more than one or two of the martial artists, that being the leader of the karate and taekwondo clubs.

edit: I also thought it was a funny note that Fenrir nicknames the muay thai kid "little rocket" since he can't pronounce his Thai name. lol

Sounds good. I also remember that I thought up 2 female fighters for the gang. This might actually complete the group on my end, save for maybe one more character.

One was this chick who is always wearing a lot of loose-fitting clothing like jackets or unbuttoned vests so while she has on like 5 layers of clothes you can still see most of her sexy body (fan-service fwd). She was kicked out from her club for her bad-habit with shoplifting clothing and thrift stores. Her whole appeal is that she can quickly strip off a layer of clothes to either slip out from an enemy's grip, whip the clothes at someone to pull them in, or just toss the clothes on their face to stun them for a moment while she pulls off some of her grappling moves. If kemo lets me use Elise, this would be a good character for her so she can use Wrestling-type attacks. I figured this would be a cool part of her game because you could say each time she uses one of her jacket moves she loses the clothes so she steadily gets more and more naked, until she's down to just her one and normal jacket, which of course she will not be able to throw at that point.

The other girl was a magazine-lover who actually uses her rolled-up, thick magazines as a make-shift stick for her Kali style, which is known for its escrima (stick) fighting.

You want to describe how the last one looks and what she wears? Maybe the first one too just in case you aren't allowed to use Elise.

And here's one from me. The appeal of this girl? She can pull off unique throws directly from the guard stance unlike other characters who can't attack while guarding in exchange for lower strength attacks, in fact all of her special techniques are guard-throws. She'd been practicing Aikido most of her life since nobody took her seriously due to her frame and that's where they made their mistake, she considered herself untouchable due to the way she fought so she rose ranks pretty quickly until she reached the highest point. She wears clothes that stay close to the body and focuses on flowing movements and speedy fighting, making her pretty dangerous. She has a scar from failing to disarm an attacker during her earlier years.

Well if its Elise then she'll have black hair, but if I can't get her then I envisioned her character as having silver colored hair. However, if she starts to seem too much like Vanessa Lewis from Virtua Fighter, which I don't see her as considering Elise isn't black and that Vanessa wears camo which Elise would never have on, then I may just leave her with dark-purple colored hair. Her outfit is tricky but sexiness is the key that you should keep in mind, which may prove a challenge with how many jackets she has to wear.

As for the Kali girl, I'm tempted to make her black to add more ethnicity but if this ends up being Angel then she should have curly golden-blonde or pink hair that may or may not be tied into a single braid that flows down her back to her lower back. She's a real pretty-pretty girly type with her magazines and fashion interests so I'm thinking she should wear bright colors like white and pink. Again though, keep it sexy. Fan-service is what shall set us free! scream

Also I like your character idea. I might tie her scar into the last Street-fighter guy I have who uses combat knives. I want to give this guy short white hair, but now I'm afraid he'll look too much like that vizard from Bleach. >.>

I don't think we need to worry too much about the character resembling anybody, but with five freakin' jackets I have work to do...

Blond, pink belongs to Emma!

Don't worry about the white hair thing, it certainly won't look like who you're thinking of depending on the clothes you decide he wears. Care to tell me about him?

Well he's my most undeveloped of my character ideas. His body is riddled with scars, but he's tan and muscular so it makes him look the more manly of all the other characters. I envisioned him as a very kind person, but ruthlessly cold at the same time. Hard to describe. He's like the person who would smile at a child and tell them not to play in traffic, and then stab a mugger through the throat with his own knife two minutes later. >.> Of all the gang-members, he's the only one to have ever killed a guy. He's also the second oldest, behind the Taekwondo man so he's...20 I'd say? Basically, he's tough as nails. His special moves should consist of his knife attacks but otherwise his official style is a blend of Pencak Silat and Krav Maga. He's also the only member I've envisioned as having any kind of military background.

His special moves should consist of his knife attacks but otherwise his official style is a blend of Pencak Silat and Krav Maga. He's also the only member I've envisioned as having any kind of military background.

So I'm gonna guess his clothes look something like this?

No, not like that. I figured he'd wear a beanie with his white hair poking out underneath, with tan shorts and a tight shirt. His many scars should be like white, jagged symbols on his tan skin to give it a neat look.

Fenrir Graveheart

When you said military and knives that was instantly the feel I got, what you've described wasn't exactly what was in my mind at the time. It's different though.

Okay, that's seven from you excluding the taekwondo and karate people and that's two out of me...I'd be working faster, but I like putting care in to each description I make, each character is important enough to have time taken on them!

Ah, but you're forgetting that we have to drop the Muay Thai kid since he's too small. I'll try to come up with someone else instead. Maybe a Jeet Kune Do character. And take your time. I'm going to be trying to think up their move lists in the meantime.

On second thought lets drop the beanie hat on knife-dude. Leave it for an alternate costume or something. >.>

Understood.

Don't forget to show me the list when you finish, as for me...time to get back to work on my current characters...

Here's a second girl from my side. She fights using tonfas since her battle style is Okinawan kobudō. That means she hits harder, faster, and has more range than a good amount of fighters using their hands, legs is a different story. People call her a phoenix because she has such high endurance from training constantly for years, she's known for getting up after what could have been a fatal blow and winning her battle. She is extremely serious and hates people who can't fight with all they have, her hair color is...you know it's pink. She goes in to battle wearing unorthodox clothing like skirts and the like. She is also known to know a small bit about boxing and can freely switch between southpaw and orthodox stances even though she prefers fighting with her left hand. Can you guess the name? Oh, and as an alternate costume she wears a karate gi, even though she knows next to nothing about it.

Ah, so this is our Emma character huh? Thats fine. Even if her official style is something else, maybe she should be the vice-captain of the Karate club? I mean with the gi and everything it'd make sense.

*thumbs up*
I suspect you're right, maybe I'll even cameo the gi thing here in Ludus. Moving on since I assume you have no questions regarding Emma...
