Ana Helios Yahoo Mail. It sends pretty much every file, so a voice recording shouldn't be too hard to attach. The story of the one I'm talking to you about? I changed my mind and started working on an arcade fighting style game since I said it would be my first in the future. But here's the story so far... The game is centered around a girl named Chase with focus on several others like her brother, Raven Adrasa, Hunter, and others I don't really want to name here. The year is 3XXX and humans have changed for the better, much much better, they evolved and became stronger, smarter, faster, and even became like avions to escape predators who also have evolved. Fights mostly take place around the city while a battle between every one of Chase's race, Z, and Cerberus rages on in the background. Z is the main antagonist, who I'm sure you'd love to voice act. Chase made a plan to gather up anybody else who follows the path of the renegade and stop Z once and for all, even if it means his death, something Chase herself can't do since she has never killed. This battle also awakens two dormant powers within her, Judgment and Void, neither one of them is a good thing. That also something I'd like to point out, switching freely between regular, Judgment, and Void forms is possible for everybody in game, but by the canon it belongs to Chase only. Ask any other questions and they can be answered, you're working with me so I have no problem sharing this information. Ah, but if its an arcade-style fighter that you're making then why not just make a game based on Ludus? I mean think about it. Whats the main complaint people have about fighting games? That their stories are either too cheesy or unrealistic. Thats why I came up with my fighting manga in the first place, as an attempt to make a fighting came bent more towards realism, as in how having these kinds of power could actually come to exist. Its still a stretch, sure, but its more believable than 'thousands of years in the future our world is ruled by a tyrant so we must kung-fu fight him into submission so that we can saaaaaave the world and then I will be da master'....ok I went a little over the top there but you get what I mean. >.> Hell if Ludus is too much of a stretch I could always just pitch the first arc of my Ludus idea to you. Remember that this guild is based entirely on the second or third arc of my own manga so I could help you with the story better than most anyone.

Kung-fu fight? Heck no, street! STREET! S-T-R-E-E-T!!! And if you want unrealistic then check out this blast from the past >.> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQxObx9M9BQ&feature=relatedIn fact, from street fighter, to tekken, to blazblue...nobody ever complained about it being unrealistic, I don't want an ultra-realistic anything because then I'd have to include guns and...yeah gun in a fist fight. BUT...you're right, I planned on asking about Ludus, but then I thought..."nah". I didn't know if you'd really accept me using it to make money...

Tekken's story is s**t. >.> They all are, really. Its just because of their fight engine that we play them. Gameplay will always rule out over story, but does that mean you shouldn't care about the story at all then? Of course not. You shouldn't strive to be like blazblue or street fighter, you should strive to be BETTER than them! Better than all of them! To create the best fighting game possible, thats the goal. And thats what I'm gonna help you do, so lets talk this out. wink I'm with you about the ultra-realism. I don't like that either, otherwise we end up with Fight Night Round 3 or something. However, we can bend a fantasy-story to make it sound more realistic which is where Ludus comes in. After all, genetically-manipulated humans doesn't sound too far off from your "evolved humans" now does it? But you gotta look at the underlying messages in Ludus that are both existent and reflective of American culture right now. We have the super-rich man who seems like he can do anything, and uses that wealth to make and control the students (represent of the under-class americans). Even the Gene-X itself is a powerful symbol. It is the steroid. It is the drug-abuse we give in to in order to become (what we believe) the best, and it is also what ties to the servitude of the upperclass as symbolized through Mr. Akasun. Also, I don't mind you using Ludus or anything. Just be sure to mention my name in there somewhere like "story made by David Z. Toone" or something (and now you know my name).

Then strength compared to everyone else, are they all just level 10 or... (David? Nice and basic, I like it.)

Well...no I take that back. After all tekken and neither of those games have super-powers. They use real martial arts and each character is usually representative of a specific style. Either way I wouldn't recommend starting off people at level 10. By level 10 they're less people with powers and more like super-saiyan gods. lol I was going to add this to the guild later but level 10 your character can learn this skill which is basically where they can transform into a 'super' self for about 10 posts and just go monster on people.

The more you win the more techniques and combinations you can do. Start off with a basic move list and a couple of techniques and end with being able to pull off massive skills and the like.

I like that idea. It reminds me of the Dragonball Z games where for each stage you have a different skill list that progressively gets bigger as the story goes on. However, we should have the full list already provided in both versus and practice mode so players don't have to beat the whole game to play with the characters they want against their friends. Also I've decided that beginning from the first arc (that I'm dubbing SFvsMA) would be best. It doesn't have the same symbolism as Ludus, but if you're ever going to make a sequel then it would make for a better experience. We could play through the first arc with the first game, and then introduce super-powers with Ludus in a sequel. Even if the first arc doesn't have super-powers that doesn't mean it can't be flashy. Plus it'd make the whole impact of the bringing powers into the series that much more significant, because unlike those other fighter games this would actually SHOW character progress.

Alright, I wondered what else can be added for that unique feel...I remember something from another game that I thought was pretty cool, but it seems like it'd take some work... So from the very start? Even if the powers aren't there yet the original skills exist. That means they'd still be extremely powerful after fighting a certain amount of people...or in versus mode if they prefer. Who did you have in mind for this since we're going back to the beginning of the timeline?

Dude, that's like THE pain compliance technique. It's one of the first things I learned how to do when I had self defense lessons a few years ago. Sooner or later, it puts so much pressure on your shoulder it feels like the joint's gonna pop right out.
Someone controls an arm, ducks under it, bends the arm behind the unfortunate victim's back, and tries to force the hand to touch the nape of the neck. You either find a way to escape, cry mercy, or you get your shoulder dislocated.

That's a ******** tragedy right there. Btw how much training have you given your character so far? If your character is all caught up then maybe the teachers can give you a promotion test this saturday to boost you up to Level 2 and make you more prepared to take on the vampires.
