Aeoess *Eittik stared at Aeoess, informing her to not worry about duties or about her past, but to enjoy herself. Looking at the woman (Ares) dancing on the table, Aeoess decides to be social for once and stood on the table as well.* "Heheh, may I join you?" xp *She began to dance to the randomness of the captain's fiddling.* You most certainly may, if you can keep up with us... *she smirks, and yells to the Captain* How 'bout ye pick it up a bit?

Much pleased that the Captain had decided to join her, Syn kept playing, easily transitionng the tune she had started out with to the one that he was playing. Somehow she managed to perform a bit of a dance on the table, keeping her balance expertly and making sure not to tumble off into the others.
Hearing Are's words, she laughed aloud and hollered over, "Oi, I'm playin' this tune too, missy! The Cap'n ain't the only one who can play a fair jig." She winked at the Captain mischeviously, adding, "No offense meant Cap'n, o' course." She started to speed up the tune, of course playing the second part to the Captain's tune so he could either bring up the tempo or play as he pleased without ruining the song.
She was leaning over, her foot tapping on the table to keep time, fingers curled around the bow and her eye glowing wildly in the lamplight.

(Look up 'The Cuckold Comes out of the Amery'. Great Song, Fast Fiddle.)
*Taking the cue, Jack scarps the bow over the strings a half beat faster than the previous. The chorus rang out and faded into the next stanza faser than a bowline through the hawse-hole.*
"Faster? Well now, you asked for it. Let us see if you've bitten off more than you can chew. Dance the ight away my dear Ares. Keep pace or die trying..."
*Winking at Syn, he cut the tempo in half again and the song ripped through t it's end. Raising his bow into the air, he stamped his boot hard on the Mainhatch in rhythum and called out...*
"YOU BETTER GRAB A PARTNER! TORTUGA TANGO!"

*The flurry of the crew twisting and dancing wildly in the lamplight was quite the sight for anyone to behold. The footwork of Miss Ares flickered as dangerously across the floor just like the flames that flickered within the glass enclosures. What an amazing person, to be hurt so badly in battle and now, dance the night away as if she had never had Doctor Baxter work on her wounds.
People bumping into one another, Drinks being had, being dropped, laughter and hollering coming from the direction of the Captain's devilish fiddling, hats being tossed as women danced in tight twirling circles of fabric and hair; all of this was a sign of the merriment of the moment. The intoxication of the moon, the night beckoning to do anything and everything, bewitched the crew in ways that no one argued with in the slightest. It was raw, unruley and animalistic. It was fun in the most deliciously sinful meaning of the word.
Jaden looked down at her clothing. Still bedecked in her skirts and corset from the dinner party, she snapped back from the hypnotic trance the main deck put her into. She noticed Reginald going towards the lower decks as one of the overly-spirited crew decorated his clothing with a mug of Grog. She couldn't help but to laugh to herself over the absurdity of the situation as he grumbled and went below the deck. Obviously he was off to change his clothing. He seemed to have the right idea though, she had to admit it.
Slowly, she removed the hat that the Captain most graciously gave her and let her hair fall down past her shoulders again. She slipped below the decks to the Captain's bunk once more to change. Jaden felt it would be better to slip into something a bit more comfortable in order to fall back into the seductive trance of the music, mulled drinks and merriment without having to worry about the condition of her clothing.*

Laughing and gasping for air, she decided to take a break from dancing and explore her old home, in search of something more appropriate to wear on the ship. Going below deck she worked her way to the captain's quarters. Running her finger across the familiar door she felt almost out of place. Sighing she rest her head against the door, closing her eyes to breath in and remember.

*Signalling to Miss Beaumont to take over the song, he yelled to her.*
"I'VE FORGOTTEN A PARTICULAR PIECE OF MUSIC! I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!"
*Placing his fiddle at his feet, he jumped down from the mainhatch, and with a heavy thump, landed upon the deck. Swaggering through the crowd, he decided to make a quick exit of it and enter to his cabin's via the Galley bulkhead instead of the Quarterdeck's scuttleway.
Descending down the stairway into the depths of the ship, he ventured through the Galley. Soon he would pass the freezer chests, into the vacant steward's pantry and down the hallway to the after cabin galleries.

Eyes glittering, Syn started to tap her foot on the table, glaring at anyone else who would dare leave just because the Captain had left her in charge of the singing and dancing. Calling over the song, "Alrighty me hearties! The first one to flee this fine area because of mine fiddling will get Tuslo in his or her face!" She cast a weather eye over the crew, leaping off the table and gesturing to any others who held musical instruments to follow her. With one leg she kicked a table back to the far wall, a few others helping her move any furniture that was in the middle of the room to the sides. Lowering her fiddle for half a moment and making sure the others kept playing, she walked in a wide circle, creating a ring of crew members with a large space in the center of the room.
Skipping back to the far side to join the other musicians, she started up a new tune that most would call 'Hall of the Mountain King', although this rendition had a decidedly merrier, more dancing sound to it. She nodded at the center, calling, "C'mon now, don't be shy mateys! Get in the ring and show that ye can dance as best as the rest o' 'em!"

*Recognising the tune, Omi vaguely lamented her inability to dance, but it didn't really matter. She wouldn't have gone out there anyway. Smiling, she hummed along.*

Emerging from below in fresh, not to mention more comfortable, attire, Baxter went to one of the corners of the quarterdeck and sat down to listen to the music.

((OOC Ok, in a new apartment, in a new city. I can play again!)))))
Destiny stood back in a corner, listening to the music, keeping everyone supplied with drinks, snacks, and other munchies as they danced. Every once in a while, she would dance to the music, but not where anyone could see, as she was not exactly a great dancer.

Glancing around the room, she noticed that only a few people were dancing to the music and she frowned in frustration, laughing a little as she handed her fiddle to the nearest musician. "Keep playin'," she instructed before wandering into the circle and looking around for someone who wasn't dancing and should. Noting Baxter in one corner, she sauntered over in his direction and leaned over with her hands on her hips as she grinned down at him with a twinkle in her eye. She extended one hand, which wore a fingerless glove, her fingers curved slightly as she said with a cheerful smile, "Oi, will the good doctor join me in a little dance? Won't take no for an answer." She waited for his response, raising her eyebrows hopefully, intending to get at least one person dancing with her so the others might join in.
And she had a habit of trying to get more withdrawn people to live large, even if it were just for a moment.
