Okay welllllll *deep breath* Been going out with this guy since um, January of 2009, and I finally decided enough was enough! He was uber clingy, possessive, controlling, didn't really like me for who I was, forced me into a lot of things I didn't like, and yeah! Bad news bears. The straw that broke the camel's back with him was back in May/June, I was up in Chicago for a friend's going away party (she was heading off to Austria for a study abroad thing for the summer), my phone died and he couldn't get ahold of me SO Being the rational fella he is, he logged onto my facebook, got my best friend's #, called at 3 am demanding to know where I was, then drove over to my house (is like a 25 minute drive), sat in the driveway and called my folks (at 3:30 in the morning), woke them up, demanding to know where I was, drove them into a tizzy because they couldn't reach me, and felt no need whatsoever to even so much as apologize! And yes, I told him where I was going, he kept trying to talk me out of it because he missed me. We hadn't seen one another in ~3 days, if I remember right. Aaand once I broke up with him, he started calling me incessantly, showed up outside my bedroom window after 10 pm a couple of times, showed up at my work to give me presents when I told him *very* bluntly to leave me alone and that he couldn't buy me back... I wound up blocking his phone number from my cell, and having to threaten him with calling the cops on him if he kept showing up around me. classified_fu crying So then there was a whole dramallama with a friend's friend from out of country, she thought I would get on well with the guy and I did, until it turned out he was a lying scumbug out to ruin friendships. classified_fu Aaaaand the thing with my work! My boss = my neighbor, no bueno, do not recommend! 0 out of 5 stars man. Negative stars! I called in sick sometime during July I think, and she watched my house! Saw me leave to go to WalMart, called me, demanding to know what was going on, why I left my house, cornered me the next day at work, threatened me, called me a liar, all kinds of fun. classified_fu burning_eyes Was in a car accident that totaled my car, too! Was going straight on a green light and a guy turned left in front of me, even though he didn't have the arrow, and his insurance company is claiming it's my fault because I "failed to decelerate in order to avoid the accident", so I have to get a lawyer if I want to get any money from the other guy's insurance... (we only have collision on my car, much cheaper, but I kind of regret it now. ><) No one was hurt, just some bangs and bruises, but arrrrgh nonetheless. But life is mucho better now. : D Getting a new job soon, new, stable boy (from what I can tell so far), doing better at school, 'n yeah! tl;dr summer was basically classified_fu + dramallama Off topic!
Oh I hope my friend gets the pictures from the photoshoot up soon! I need a new facebook profile pic, haha.

*hugs Fatal* That's all really lame, I hope things get better!! And I'm glad you weren't hurt in the accident. Good luck with his insurance.
Man, I don't know if I should've agreed to go look at rings with my best friend's boyfriend tomorrow...I'm so happy that he's planning to propose soon but if I help pick out the ring and she doesn't like it I'll feel awful. D:

Yeah, I'm still here.
The great New Haven experiment is over, as is the shorter "live in Richmond without Wi-Fi" episode which I won't go into, but yeah...job market is scarcer than I thought. At least the dog training place in the next county is hiring.
Oh, and we have new sets of emoticons. Fun.

Finally saw X-Men: First Class. I kinda agree with Sevi that it was too long. I mean, some fanboy cheesecake is good, but they had that s**t going off every couple of seconds. They could have done with fewer cameos and totally superfluous "lookit ma groovy mutation" scenes and focused more on the actual plot. I mean, yes, I understand where Magneto and Mystique "went to the dark side," but I still feel it could have been portrayed a little more effectively.
Also, I really didn't see the gay. Until maybe the very last scene. Which just makes me scratch my head because it seems everyone else sees it in X-Men but not Thor. But every time I watch Thor, I am like "Just what are these homosexuals doing?" I mean... maybe it's just the symbolism. Thor basically pinned Loki to the RAINBOW BRIDGE with his p***s, yeah?

I'm sure you've already seen this, but: How Thor Should Have Ended.
Also, call me crazy, but I didn't pick up on any gay in X-Men or Thor. Sure, there were things that could have been construed as such if taken in a specific light and assuming one were particularly looking for it... but that could be said of almost anything. The same goes for Harry Potter, Supernatural, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lost, Star Wars, Final Fantasy, Toy Story, Tron, Chuck, Game of Thrones, My Little Pony and Lord of the Rings.
I just don't see it.

I just don't see it. Oh yeah. I love that channel. And how Thor totally burns the DC guys (even if I still think Jane is the most pathetic excuse for a romantic interest ever). Actually, I think the only non-super female I've ever liked was Pepper Potts, and she eventually gets her own suit, so... And yeah, I'm pretty sure I have my slash goggles on, sometimes. But even if I didn't, I think Thor has a vast history of being the most inadvertently homosexual comic ever. Some of these scans, even dating back to Simonson and Kirby (Hell, especially those guys. It's not as blatant nowadays.), make me wonder just how clueless they could have been.

HISHE has some great stuff. I particularly like how Supes and Batman are always in that diner after a superhero movie video. Classy.
Oh, I definitely agree that it's been rather overt in the comics even way back. (Some of which is briefly touched on in this Cracked article.) It's like He-Man with it's... imagery. I just wasn't seeing it in the movie.
Which reminds me that I was also a little bummed about the Hawkeye cameo. If they would have at the very least had him fire off a single shot I wouldn't have minded. But to have him up there all ready to go and then nothing, only to have to wait until the Avengers movie to actually see him in action? Bummer. I would have liked to see a standalone Hawkeye movie prior to Avengers, but all we get is a brief cameo. Lame. (I always felt Hawkeye was one of the most deserving of a spot on the team, as well as the one I'd give more respect to, simply because he's not super enhanced, not a god, and doesn't use a super suit. He's just that good. But anyway.)
I'm also reminded to mention that Valgav said to say he was surprised when he heard you were a comic fan.
