[ Parody ] || Hm, I have basically no interest in computer science and engineering. I'm more of a fan of English and Foreign Language. Literature is my past time. || AP Lit was my favorite class last year, mostly due to the interesting teacher. I'm considering Japanese as a minor.

|| I take Japanese. I love the language and the culture. I'm taking Japanese II, Chinese I, and Academic English 10 next year. I personally can't wait until the AP courses. I aim to finally stretch my unused lingual abilities that the classes I'm currently offered can't even begin to exercise. ||

High school Japanese 2, yes?
Yeah, crap really isn't worth anything until you get to the AP classes. My school didn't have Japanese, but college Japanese classes go a hell of a lot faster than high school ones. >< You're considered fluent if you pass 2 years of the language course, and there are 3rd level and beyond courses as well.
I've already taken and passed both AP English exams, all my others were in scientific/mathematical areas.

|| No, no. I take Japanese I, I'm a freshman. My school system's IQ isn't high enough to start languages in Intermediate School, besides Latin, which I took two years of. Now I take Japanese I, and you're right, the classes go quite slow, as they offer 4, all four of which I shall take to complete my Japanese literacy. ||

For reasons no one here could guess I would kill to be 15 again. The "wake up and go to your ******** business law class" thing isn't all that bad, and seeing as accountants don't need physics... XD

Tacitus For reasons no one here could guess I would kill to be 15 again. The "wake up and go to your ******** business law class" thing isn't all that bad, and seeing as accountants don't need physics... XD You miss out on some mind blowing stuff. Parody: Yeah, that sounds about right. But even after all of your high school classes, you won't be completely versed in Japanese xp Likely you'll need to take Japanese 3 or some equivalent in college. I suggest taking a university offer to study in Japan so you cn improve your abilities there. The reason I'm taking Japanese, aside from it being a passing interest, is because Japan tends to have the better standards for areas I'm interested in. There's actually a program for university students majoring or minoring in Japanese where they can study in Japan for a year, and get paid 1,100 US a month just to be there, on top of everything else.

Sweet.... Heard it from one of the Japanese 2 teachers here. Maybe I'll ask more about it if I do decide to minor in Japanese.
