what the ******** is this Morgue Your Profiles Signature section has been disabled for the following reason: Your Signature area file size is too big. It is bigger than the 100,000 byte size limit. Additional notes: Your signature has been disabled because it is over file size (100,000 bytes) and/or dimension (500x500) restrictions.
Your signature is currently 339px × 319px & 1,021.59 KB (1,046,105 bytes) in size. While your image dimensions are fine, you would need to reduce the file size to less than 100,000 bytes in size. You can adjust your signature contents under the account preferences-signature page. All Gaia sigs must be:
Quote: Less than 500 pixels in size in both width and height. Total byte-size of less than 100,000 bytes. 255 character limit for signature text 255 character limit for url length (length of tags is included)
In addition, all signatures must follow Gaia's Terms of Service. This means that Gaia signatures cannot contain any material that is prohibited by Gaia's policies. This includes, but is not limited to, the following types of material:
Quote: Content that is abusive or hateful Content that is explicitly sexual or violent in nature. Malicious or harmful links (such as viruses or trojans) Other kinds of illegal links (such as referral links or prohibited forms of advertisement) Ilegal file types (file types that produce sound)
This and additional information on Gaia Signatures can be found at the Gaia Online Help Center. Again, you can adjust your signature contents under the account preferences-signature page. We would ask that you do so promptly. Please be sure you do not use the same signature again without making the appropriate changes to avoid another disable.
Thank you so much for your cooperation, and please continue to enjoy Gaia Online!
Morgue Site ModeratorPlease refer to the The Gaia terms of service agreement or the Gaia rules and regulations for more information. You can re-enable your Signature at the profile page located at http://www.gaiaonline.com/account/detentioncenter/

"One or more of your profile sections are disable due to rule(s) violation. You can re-enable them, for a fee of course. Signature area file size is too big. It is bigger than the 100,000 byte size limit. Cost: 1000 "

Damn you Fuji, beat me to it.
O and happy holidays, even though we don't celebrate it.
And yeah, I've been willing to tell divasis, but she just... won't come online. emotion_donotwant
edit: just talked to her. She says she can't log in for some reason.

xp They want you to check your signature file size nar. Animated stuff usually uses a lot more then 100kb, your current one's showing as 948.78 KB (971,546 bytes) or 9 times too big.
Might want to see about uploading to a site that compresses GiFs first.
Will admit it's a bit outdated of a rule, but I guess they want the site mobile data-plan friendly. I mean some data-plans loading your sig once would take 1/300th of the total allowed data for the month.
edit: and Ooka, did she say anything more specific about being unable to login? or just that much?

Dang
Also seems like we're getting join requests again. Though not sure if there's a bug or something to explain why all the ones I've seen are blank.

I'm not going to check the bytes of a .gif every time I update my siggy. IT'S THE PRINCIPLE. I understand your point, but they can go ******** themselves.
EDIT: plus, their phone probably wouldn't even bother loading the picture

Nah, phones will render it...but I do agree on it being outdated. That was a basic rule when dial up was around and when Cable and DSL were first released. Now...most people can get speed fairly well, and if they were really worried about mobile...well...they should have a mobile version of the site.
Regardless, it is retarded. And Nar, you probably did piss someone off who reported it. Last time my sig was disabled was for the same damn reason, so I made sure to rain acid on them for the next several weeks.

xp You want to protest it or whatever feel free, just figured I'd warn you in advance. And yeah, annoy people and they'll probably go out of their way to find a reason to report you, but also there are people on this site who probably have an OCD for finding signature rule violators or something unless the admins put in some back-end script that occasionally checks sig image sizes and reports on it.
