Sevi Rais You haven't seen X-Men: First Class? I saw it. I liked the first part better than the second. The second part kinda sucked. Looooved Fassbender in it, though. heart Nope. All the X-Men movies have sucked so bad, I had no desire to see it until I saw all of the parodies online. Then I got sick and missed it when it was at the dollar theatre. Then I thought "It is out on video today, so I can finally watch it." LOLNOPE. Every last video rental place in my little hick town went out of business ages ago. But I figured it would be on Movies On Demand, as much as that is always being shoved down my throat. Of course it isn't. ******** this s**t. No wonder people pirate.

I liked the beginning, but they got lazy or something near the middle and end. You'd probably feel the same about it. Hmmm...have I liked any movies this year? Water for Elephants was good.

Very interesting video on a new book coming out explaining the rise of 4chan Anonymous online. I think I might grab this book. Also, any Captain think about renting one of those shiny new rooms they made in guilds? Oooh. <3

Well, blatant homosexual subtext in genres traditionally aimed at straight men amuses me like nothing else, so I dunno...
And what new rooms? I think Setz is the only captain right now. I could kick him if you want, assuming he hasn't changed his e-mail address. I think his AIM is freinds-only, and almost nobody has mine since I lost access to lemina7.

I don't remember disliking any part about First Class, really. Aside from the ridiculously sad stuff with Erik at the beginning. *shrug* I wasn't looking forward to seeing it either - I really didn't want to at all, but my boy was really excited because a friend of ours had seen it and recommended it, and this guy hates every movie to the point where I won't go to movies with him because I don't want to listen to him complain afterward. So we went to see it (me thinking I'd be bored and annoyed the entire time) and we both really enjoyed it.
My favorite part is still Hugh Jackman's cameo. <3 <3 <3 I laughed so hard.

Oh man, the Tom Hiddleston tag exploded with so much drama last night. I've more or less been told that I am a horrible person for finding it all hysterically funny, but I don't give a ********. I mean, really people. biggrin The shocking news was that *gasp!* Tom has a girlfriend/wife (nobody is really sure). As somebody else put it, "so... he's supposed to stay single and lonely forever so your masturbation fantasies can be more realistic?" Of course there are people saying that it has nothing to do with their delusions being shattered, but that "omg this has never been mentioned before and I feel like I don't even know him!1123." Pfft. I'm pretty sure there are a few interviews where he says there is "someone special" in his life, so I call bullshit. Know what else I find hysterically funny? This cap from the behind-the-scenes footage: I mean, I know Ken is probably giving them both direction. Looks like the healing room scene that got mostly cut from the movie. But all I see is Loki politely listening to some middle-aged guy's drunken fish story while a shirtless Fandral creeps in the background.

I read that as "craps in the background". Totally different kind of hilarious.
Unrelated: John de Lancie is doing a voice in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, season two. That's right. John de Lancie.
You can't spell 'Equestria' without Q.
For anyone not bothered by major spoilers, clicketty-click.

Xanilus I read that as "craps in the background". Totally different kind of hilarious. Now that you mention it, he does look rather "relieved." Haha. Oh God. This just gets funnier the more I look at it. Ken is like, "It was thiiiiiiiiiis big." Fandral is proud because he thinks they're talking about his p***s. And Loki is just like, "Odin's Beard, I am never going to the mead hall with you two again."

ALLERGIES WHYYYYY GO AWAY PLEASE. x.x Hugh Jackman was HILARIOUS! xd ! I enjoyed it. Maybe if I watched it a second time I may like it more. spoiler in text* I think my biggest gripe is that I have a BA in History and the whole, "Cuban Missile Crisis" story was really weird because ... obviously, none of that happened. XD I guess because I frame the Cuban Missile Crisis as this great stalemate of powers, and the xmen just made them look all sad and weak when, um, they weren't sad and weak. But it's not a huge deal.
The xmen kiddies were kinda weak when the bad guys stepped in. I wanted them to use their super powers and wtf why does the black guy always die in the movies wtf?! ):<<< The ending sequence on the beach was pretty random too. All holding hands and stuff. Ehhhhh. Charles getting shot was pretty anti-climatic but maybe that's how it is in the series, so idk. Also not a big deal, though. So I'm not really sure why I didn't care much for it, esp when I loved it in the beginning. Maybe I'm just not impressed by movies nowadays. XDBut I lovedloved Michael Fassbender throughout the whole movie, so I'll definitely be looking out for him in other movies. I also loved the first half of the movie and thought it was really awesome. For some reason it just fizzled at the end for me. Maybe it was too long? idk.

The only thing I didn't like was (spoiler bits): Angel. Who the hell's stupid idea was it to choose her among all other possible characters, let alone have her written and acted so terribly? And in her flying battle near the end, why did Banshee have awesome realistic effects while she looked like cheap wires and green-screen? (And alright, Darwin's death was rather shitty as well.)
Considering the back-story... err... forward-story... ********, considering the first three movies and how they set the confines of the universe the movies take place in, I thought it was pretty good. It was no Iron Man, but still good entertainment.
And hey... no mention of Rebecca Romijn's clever albeit miniscule cameo? I was amused by that.

LOL. Thanks for the spoiler tags guys, but you really don't need to. I'm sure I've been thoroughly spoiled. I mean, the only reason I want to see it at all is because the internet spoofed the hell out of it and I am sure I will laugh at inappropriate moments.
Like how, the second time I saw Thor, I was the only person to bust a gut when Odin pointed at Loki and went "HWARGH!" during the whole banishment scene. Everybody pretty much thought I was nuts. But I assure you, given the right context, that scene is all sorts of hilarious.
Edit: What? Do we have a new chance item? I saw a floating white giftbox that was glowing faintly red on my redirection screen. But my mouse ******** up and I couldn't click it in time. =(
Edit2: It showed up again when I edited. Holy s**t! It's the return of the pink link, you guys! BLAST FROM THE PAST!

What's that, Thor? You're out on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow and you want me to buy you? You know I can't resist your sparkly bridge. <3
Also, my boy has been working on the rules for his own way to spell everything for the past hour. I thought we were through with this like a month ago...bah.

I am about ready to cry. I am so exhausted. My Tuesday schedule is really hell with my fatigue, pretty much straight-on for 5 hours. Then, just today, my geology professor told me that I'm apparently not signed up for the lab I have been attending. WHY THE ******** DIDN'T HE TELL ME THAT THE FIRST DAY?
I didn't realize I had to enter the CRN's for the lecture and the lab separately. And when I went to add it, I couldn't because the last day to add was TWO ******** DAYS AGO. I am only taking the lecture section because I need the lab. And I've already COMPLETED 1/4 of the semester's labwork.
I know the administration won't work with me. I mean, I'm going to ask, but... A couple semesters ago, they completely ******** up my schedule. They would not let me in any of the classes I needed because they were full, even though it was their fault for not turning in my choices at the right time. And since this time, it is my fault...
I also managed to get my first choice for which date to usher for my theatre class, which actually sucks. Because it is this Saturday and now I am ******** spazzing and will be a mess. I don't have time to go look for a white blouse that fits when I have to wrestle with the registrar. crying
