The young girl looked at him, apparently holding no concern for his irritation.
“You sure ask a lot of questions of someone who just saved your life. How about you just try saying thank you?” Though rather soft spoken, her tone reflected his own irritation. She turned away from him and began to ring out her hair, attempting to work it back not some semblance of what it had started as.

Hiroku sighed softly, slowly rising to his feet.
"I suppose we are even then. So thank you and I wish you the best of luck."
With that, he turned and began to walk toward the forest to return to town.

“What did you come here for anyway?” She asked. Her voice carried remarkably well over the wind, and Hiroku was able to hear her as though she were standing right next to him.

"I was here investigating a rumor I heard about. I never thought it would almost get me killed."
The teen stopped, turning back to face you. "What about you?"

The young girl turned away and continued to mess with her hair.
“I was hunting mobs near that cave, remember? Before that dragon attacked us.”

Hiroku sighed, swiping his left hand straight down to open is menu. He was silent for the next several second as he navigated to and began to search through is inventory. After a minute he tapped and item and a small brush materialized.
"Here, you will never get anywhere like that." He said, tossing the brush to the young girl.

The young girl looked a bit surprised as she caught the brush. A light blush touched her pale skin, and she turned away.
“Th…thanks.” She stammered. It was clear that the action had knocked her off her guard, and she seemed unsure of how to respond. “I used the wraiths…” She said at length. “To get us out.”

Hiroku tilted his head slightly, slowly making his way back toward to girl.
"The wraiths?" He asked, his tone slightly surprised.
"What do you mean?"

“I figured out that the monsters were repelled by the crystals, but the wraiths were drawn to them. All I had to do was stick the crystal inside the creature and the wraiths turned all their attention on it.” She began to brush her hair, wincing at a snarl before continuing. “I grabbed on to you and the creature when they started to drag it into the pit, and they carried us down.”

Hiroku let a small smile cross his lips.
"That was quick thinking. I don't believe we have actually been introduced yet. I'm Hiroku. It's a pleasure to meet you." He said softly, his deep red eyes locking with the young girls.
"And you are?"

The girl hesitated for a moment and looked away. She seemed unsure whether or not to answer. At length, she sighed and placed the comb on the ground.
“Emia.”

Hiroku tilted his head slightly.
"Emia? That's quite the interesting name. I don't suppose you are a reporter for the Replies are you?" He asked calmly, being sure to keep his voice down to avoid being overheard."
