"VR room?.."
Of it all, this was what Corbin questioned. Though he did smirk in response to the butler's continued efforts in giving him a title.
"You know something about this mission then, Jan?"
Standing with a light groan, equivalent to that of a tired man getting up before work in the morning, he'd move to the wardrobe shown, and once opened, disrobe without a second thought. It wouldn't take him long to find a pair of black jeans he liked, along with briefs, socks and boots. With a belt to hold his pants more firmly in place, he'd continue speaking with the butler.
"I'm used to carrying things on my back."
That said he threw on a fitted black top and a red vest over.

"Sir is also used to having his back in mostly one piece, not slices of burnt hamburger meat."
Speaking wryly, Jan was about as unabashed as the kid himself as she changed, though he winced as Corbin threw on a shirt over his wounds.
"I suspect her Ladyship will want you to find someone I have been looking for myself, but I do not pretend to know her will directly, and equally suspect she would not be quite so impetuous as to send you out so soon after my own elusive target.
However, she will be pleased to hear you have accessed our training facility. The VR room is a virtual reality suite based on currently classified techologies. Using advanced light reaction technology in a sound and impact shielded room, the suite simulates environments and situations one may find in real life, using drone technology to provide training targets and partners for the user. The suite currently requires the user to wear a sensory headpiece, and edge any weapons with sensor tips, or wear sensor gloves for hand to hand fighting. We are hoping to upgrade it sometime within the next year or two to remove this necessity. Various programs exist within it, including accurate simulations of the Lady and some of the more persistent foes sir may encounter. Would you care to take a look, young master?"
Either Jan really loved the technology involved in the VR suite, or he was selling it up in the vague hope Corbin wouldn't go out with half his back missing.

In the midst of straightening his black undershirt and red vest for comfort, inwardly wincing himself as the material passed over his wounds, he stopped firm like marble as Jan went on to explain the VR room.
"Simulations, of Roan y'say?"
He glanced over his shoulder at Jan, interested clearly piqued in that indigo orb.
"And foes I may encounter?.."
He turned fully to face Jan, and advanced, lighting the smoke he had early sought.
"Are they current, and whole? Could I face a simulation of Roan at her fullest, and accurate to her style? Is that ******** Ice included?.. Heh. I guess what I should be asking is, is my next target, available in there?"
Clearly, Jan had succeeded in his efforts to sway Corbin's mood for a live mission. Or at least he had, pending his response to the questions posed.

"Her Ladyship trains twice a week for accurate measurements, however there are restrictions to accessing that program. As yet, her Ladyship has not given me instruction as to sir's clearance level.
There are accessible simulations of both her style and the symbiote she bears, as well as of Lord Deceit, though his readings are somewhat outdated and carry restriction in higher levels also.
As I do not know for certain who sir's first target is to be, I cannot answer whether he or she is in the simulator or not.
The room does however carry and unlimited range of simulations to any level of werecreatures, hunters, ghosts, other undead, ghouls, demons and the like. Many of them are based on data gathered by her Ladyship during live runs on behalf of the Syndicate."
Answering Corbin, Jan lead the way through the house towards the suite, opening the door and gesturing for Corbin to enter.
"This is the main control panel. Please feel free to experiment with the settings while I retrieve your weapons, sir. To cancel a setting, close your eyes, touch any surface and state 'End Program'. You will find the sensor visor, gloves and footwear to your left."
Bowing, he'd leave to get Corbin's weapoons, as promised.

Listening the whole way, Jan was graced with something of a rarity. Corbin's undivided, SILENT attention. He snarled however at the notion that he'd have no access to Either Roan, or Ice at their fullest degree of power. That, almost made it worthless. Mcuh as he could perhaps get a feel for their styles at the lower levels of power, he knew that HIS style changed with degrees of power and techniques in application. Roan he had already fought hard against, and could perhaps guess at from that, and what ever he could access through this room, depending on his access. Ice however... That was another story entirely, much less his companion.
Watching Jan leave to fetch his weapons, Corbin looked to the gear outlined, and downed the vitae he'd be given.
"So... It's voice responsive."
Wiping his mouth with his sleeve, he'd set the pitcher down, and gear up, before entering the actual VR room. Taking just a moment to examine his surroundings, he'd crouch, placing his gloved hand to the floor, as he considered his options.
"Take Mikazuchi. Maximum level allowed."

"Error. New user detected. Identifying...."
The computer's voice was male, calm, not quite a monotone, but about as useful. Lights flickered along the walls, as the computer registered his presence and demand.
"...New user identified. Initial system boot commencing.... systems online. Accessing database...."
Lights changes from red, to green, to blue, before a hatch in the wall slid back and a humanoid drone trundled out and stood to its full height. Motes in the air shimmered and lfickered and lights lit up over the drone, and through Corbin's headpiece... the drone was no drone, but instead a massive 8ft tall blue skinned humanoid with red hair and a single black feathered wing protruding from its back. It carried a thin ornate katana in one hand, with power crackling over its every inch.
"...File loaded. Daemon Také-Mikazuchi registered to level 5 of 10. Syncing statistics database... loading combat maneuvers... initiating personality upload..... Drone loaded. Please state desired training locale."
As the file finished loading, Také took on motion in his body, limbs moving fluidly and lightly as he simply breathed, glowering malevolently at Corbin as the computer held him immobile while the simulation was finishing set up.

An ascending pitch whistle as Corbin watched and listened. This, was entirely better than the training he'd previously endured so far, atleast in flare and effects. Who knew he'd have access to a toy so flashy as this.
His awe however was soon washed over with woe of a sort as the computer informed him of the level. Half.
Was that half his power? Half his physical attributes? His cunning? What was it half of? Perhaps half across the board.
It took the computer asking him for a location to snap him out of the daze.
"Heh... Well, I guess i'll just have to settle for seeing if I'm man enough against half a god..."
Standing, his right side more in favour t'ward the immense blue figure, Corbin thought for a moment, then smirked.
"No unfair advantage. Here, this room."

"I assume you mean no unfair advantage to me? Facing a child who reeks of injury hardly seems a threat."
Smirking, the drone was moving fully now, though to Corbin, it WAS the Daemon. The single wing flapped lazily, weapon spinninig idly in the massive hand that held it before Také leant forward, digging the tip into the floor and resting weight on the hilt.
"Give me one good reason I shouldn't just knock you on your arse instantly, kid."

Grinning, Corbin opened his clenched fists, wrist curled slightly and palms facing the cieling with curled fingers.
"So you're the big blue numpty ******** that lives in Roan's head. Heh, well, if I can't fight a simulation of Roan at her finest, then the next best thing is a simulation of you. Even if it's at half. Come on then you ginger s**t. Knock me on me arse, broke and bleeding, if you can!"
A sudden surge of vitae hit the brat's circulatory system, his athletic physique seeming to bulge for a moment in key muscular points that denoted an increase in strength, before they then regressed to normal, and his grin widened.

A raised eyebrow, then a narrowed gaze. The creature inhaled, sniffing, slight confusion crossing its brow before it sighed.
"Kindred.. joyous. You're going to be aggravatingly persistent and single minded. So be it."
The simulation was set to half... but Také was still hellish fast, his big body moving with a suprising fluidity as he pulled the sword up out of the ground, swinging it overhead as if he was going to use the delicate precision blade to cleave Corbin top to toe. As the blade started to descend though, it was clear this wasnt the intent as electricity started to gather around the tip while rain began to fall all around the pair.
The bolt of lightning was pinpoint, and huge. No human would survive it. Potentially... neither would Kindred.

Power wasn't a definitive term, Corbin had learnt, and would use that to his advantage, much the same as strength. In enhancing his physical strength he had planned to give the impression he was ready for a head on assault, a punch up if anything. Ask any boxer though, strength wasn't for simply punching. It was also key in dart and dash.
Thus he used the Potence he had innitiated in place of Celerity, and dashed with the extra power in his legs forward, and THEN activated his Celerity to amplify his speed in motion. His goal to pass around Take under his wing, and stop about ten paces behind him, turned and ready to face the next attack, his gaurd up now in a boxing stance.
"Half for half. That much, god."
Within his own mind, a distant voice chuckled, mulling over the proposition.

The bolt hit the ground where Corbin had been, shortly followed by the tip of the falling blade.
WIth Corbin already behind him, Také seemed ponderous and slow, the single wing extending in slow reaction to the darting Kindred.
But to believe such was the case would be extremely foolish. Lightning often travelled upwards. And after the bolt had hit the floor, it had vanished, leaving several very small points of light in the floor...
...and the rain kept falling....
...as did the blade...
...until it hit the floor and all HELL broke loose. Five points of light flashed upwards, struck heavy drops of rain and turned into a patter of showering sparks, leaping around the entirety of the room, zapping ANYTHING within it, except a large patch of air around Také's unadorned shoulder.
Turning, the Daemon shook his head, unaffected by the rain of power around him and fell into a simple routine of sword slashes, fully expected Corbin to be defenceless in the face of the electrical storm.

"Oh fu-"
PA-ZAP!
Corbin's defensive stance tightened, to realistically, what prevail? This was raw power he was dealing with. That, was Take's definition of the term clearly. Corbin's had been, WAS different, and he'd test it as his instincts kicked in not quite quick enough to save him from harm, though at the same time, they couldn't even if he had been ready and waiting for this.
Fortitude.
Growling as the electrified bullets rattled against his defense, his fortitude kicked in and granted him an amplified defense against the electrocution, so that he at the least wouldn't be paralyzed.
Glaring through his guard at the approaching Take, Corbin used that dart and dash to jump back quickly, and after noting the inner domain of Take's bubble against the electricity, opted to take this on the offensive and time his landing with a dash forward between slashes, as Take seemed comitted to taking him likely.
"That wasn't request, that was an order to provide, and restrain!"
Provided he entered the inside of Take's slashes, being the larger frame and reach, Corbin would then wince as he threw a quick left jab aimed at the Daemon's wingless shoulder. As that quick jab showing celerity over potence was thrown however, no contact would be made and instead, a small streat of blood would rush from the wounds on his back, up his arm under the sleeve, and fire out from his knuckles at the speed of the jab, at a pin point edge like a dart. The concept, to fire straight through Take's shoulder through and through without a stream of blood to connect a current from him, to Corbin.

"Not bad... for a mouse."
Amused, Také whipped the blade back when he realised Corbin wasn't paralysed and snapped his feathered wing in close. As Corbin darted inside his reach... he laughed.
Corbin didn't yet know Také had TWO wings. He was about to find out. There was a story about the nature of his second wing, but it wasn't going to be told right now. It was merely gong to be experianced.
The protective area the electricity had highlighted WASN'T a bubble where nothing hit. It was where the projectiles had been hitting something not quite in this reality... or any other. The wing was made up of what can best be described as a rip in reality, or the void. As such... Corbin was fortunate he hadn't touched the area directly, as the shot of blood vanished into the crackling space, distorting as it passed through... then shattered like glass, dissolving brittly at a cellular level.
But Corbin was close now and Také simply started closing that wing around the kid, as the storm built up, wind whipping around both as the Daemon reached for the kid, aiming to grab him if he didged and simpy break his neck.

"OH FU-!"
Again, it was instinct that would either save him, or have him charred before either Jan or Roan could stop things. Either way, he wasn't just yet ready to simply slap a wall and say I quit.
Little did he know, at least one of the two mentioned were aware of his shinnanigens.
The indigo highlights beamed around his eye and within the orb as Chimerstry flared up. The goal was nothing so extravagant as trying to convince Take that a tank just drove threw the wall cannon firing. Subtlety was the key. Left and right.
In the illusion Corbin would duck into a low stance and dart out to Take's left trying to avoid the reach of his arm while the true Corbin, hidden from sight, would drop and attempt to weave to his right under the enclosing wing, using potence and celerity both to hit a roll out from the danger zone encountered.
There, he'd turn and adopt a crouched guarded pose, actively fortifying his body, focussing on the defense of his conductive flesh.
