Ariku smiled, "Diamond dust sounds beautiful, I would love to see that too," she said and thought a moment about the question. "Well, I've been around France, and I've been to a couple cities here. But other than that I've only been to a couple places in Europe. But, I never got to see much."
She looked to Yuri and gave a warm smile.
"That is very nice. How long have you known Haru-san and his brother?" she asked.

" Ummm..." She stared up into the ceiling thinking and counting the years on her fingers. " Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go, Roku, Shichi, Hachi, Kyuu....." She looked at her fingers then held them up.
" Nine years about... I was about 9 or 10 when we met." She smiled looking then to Aki-san
" Iie, his brother Hachi owns the theater. Haru I mean Hatsuharu....was disowned from his family for pursuing his dream of painting....and for being associated with me. His family looks down on geisha. That and they found out I was born part fox demon..." She looked down at the table.
" Haru was like an older brother to me when we were growing up but then I was sent to become a geisha by the priest that took me in." she looked up again. "I was happy to be chosen to become a geisha, the priest was very old and sick and felt this life was better for me." [post~55]

Oh so they are brothers. Haru-san is a painter. I love watching people paint. It is amazing how they have a talent to turn a plain sheet of paper into an almost living peice of art! I am very thankful to your priest because if he hadn't sent you to become a geisha here, I would never have gotten to meet you. It is sad that some things have happened but in the end it usually works out for the better don't you think Yuro-san? --post 29--

I really hated leaving some places behind and soo may friends also. it was a hard lifestyle that is why I'm greatful for this life that the priest has givern me a chance to have." she let out a small sigh and smiled to Aki-san. Aki smiles as she looks over at Ariku-san. She turns her head to the side as if contemplating on whether or not to ask a question but then after a few seconds decides to ask. "Ariku-san, do you mind my asking how long ago you came to the Hanamachi? You don't have to answer if you don't want to." --post 32--

She smiled and poured some more tea for the table.

Aki's eyes were transfixed on Yuri-chan who had just started her dance. ::it was the first real performance she had witnessed here in the teahouse:: Every movement, flick of a wrist, and emotion was being portrade perfectly. "It was so beautiful and elegant." she thought to herself. --post 33--
