His blade twirled around his hand like it weighed bothing, and making an arc around to teh left and then a thrust forward, before a side step and spin to bring that blade at neck leavel aroudn where the back of his neck might be, one hand always behind his back. no smile, no expression, just serious competition. Malik was fast, and knew exactly where he was going nad how he was moving.
Broog looked up, and gave a toothy grin.
"yous need shiney? Broog's got lots of shinies."
And out dragged the trunk, and opened up, filled with collars, jewelry, coins, it was a verifiable treasure chest.
"Just tells Broog what da miztress wants and broogs gets da leashie."

Zahara has stood quietly behind Piper the whole time not really paying much attention as to what was happening until Broog started talking. Yep, teh same ogre as he was last time. She watched as he pulled out the chest and shook her head. Wow, he had a lot of stuff. But what did she want? She knew she wanted a collar but she didn't want one that proclaimed her as a slave, that's not what this was for. "I'm not a slave...just keep that in mind. Is there a difference between the collars?"

Piper tugged at her own collar again. "Only differences is the style in which it's made. All are elgenat in their own way, seeing as Broog does such a wonderful job," a pat on the head for Broog just to humor him, "Take mine for example...it's unique in it's designing and more high scale than others. Ashlyn's collar is also fancy." She jerked a thumb at the open chest. "Rifle around a bit, pick out one you think is above the others. Why was she hating her own advise? Oh right, feeling irrationally threatened. Cut it out Piper.
As Malik went through his own little motion of showing off, Kieran remained rather still, just watching, the gold in his eyes swirling with that unnatural light that gave its assistance to him. Simple experience of a warrior told him that Malik was going to be no cake walk. Now Kieran hoped he just wasn't overly rusty himself. And then the smile fell from his face, turning serious. Blade in his hand was dropped down and with a step forward to start toward Malik, he closed the space bwtween them, arching his blade up from it's dropped position for starting out. This would be interesting indeed to take part in...he'd never fought a drow.
Fianna had taken a seat on a nearby boulder. Nerian had joined her, head over her shoulder where she had her hands on his snout, petting at his nose as he watched as well. At least she had a comfort buddy. And she was also reminding herself that this was mock...sometimes a bond strong as the one between Kieran and Fianna could drive one another to battle.

Broog looked confused.
"Da shinies is only fer da slaves. da master dun let them on da others. Piper was supposed ta be da slavies but she not cuase da master likes her. da master dun likes youz, he always yells at youz. youz woudl gets da collar as da slavies do."
Malik was quite still, the blade went down, it came up, and it met the flat side of ebony. it slide down to teh hilt, and spinning around to the back went for the elbow in Kieran's back. while the blad in hand twirl and he held it backward, the poitn facing kieran as he spun back aroudn teh other way to thrust the blade forward.

Another pat to Broog's head...at least she learned to work him over. "Zahara is an exception Broog. So she gets to have a nice one...because she's mine. And you know very well how I like to have nice things, now don't you dear Broog?" And if there was anyone who liked to please Piper, is was Broog. Hey he had even pumbled Kaden for her. "Alright?"
Kieran only used Malik's momentum against him. As his own blade hit the handguard at the top of Ebony's hilt, Kieran pushed against it, stepping to the side and leaning in all at the same time, thusly letting his body avoid any harm Malik had been intending to the back, though still left for the front open, and also loosing his own blade as Malik changed position of his own. At the dark elf's second spin he took two quick steps back, blade coming up to off set the thrust of the one agaisnt him, metal sliding metal once more. Kieran was finding it interesting right now the way his own slightly curved blade worked against Malik's relaitvely straight. And he used that curve to his advantage, being able to hook a little and twist.

Zahara had been about to speak up when Piper cut in and she let her handle it. "I'm not a slave..." she said again though not to anyone in particular and watched Broog. He liked Piper that much was pretty clear. "Your master doesn't like me Broog. But I'm trying to change that..." She was, really. She dind't have any ulterior motive in puttin gherself in a collar, just to get Malik off of her back and keep him from doing it himself. But she'd let Piper handle Broog, that was why she'd asked her to come in the first place.

Broog titled his ehad at teh petting, adn nodded.
"Broog makes da black elfie sumtin nicers. Cause mistrez like da nicer tings."
And he got up, towering over both of the women, adn moved two feet to a workbench, that had all sorts of lenses and magnifiers on it, and got a buncles of simple wire and leather collars.
"Doos da mistrez and da blackie wants ta watch Broog?"
Big, huge, enormous puppy dog eyes. no one ever visited poor broog but tremor when he wanted his weapons artificed.
Malik wasn't disturbed in teh least. he expected a fine challenge, he might have been a bit disappointed had that landed. the hook anbd twist spun the blade out of his hand and a side step and turning his back foudn the blad landing in teh hand behind it. a roll forward to avoidn any swing, and back oin his feet, stance in place just on teh opposite side.
"why can't I have more people with some real skill aroudn here?"

See, she knew how to work things when she really needed to, and Broog was always keen to taking at least a plausible explaination. "That's right Broog." A little step back when he got up though...still intimidating despite his gentleness really. Piper looked to Zahara and then back to Broog, giving a nod. "Of course we'll stay and watch." She was indeed curious into how these things worked so effectively. Her mind breifly recalled where she had tried to unclasp/break hers but to no avail.
Kieran gave a grin. "Perhaps they simply find you too intimidating to really give you a go." A toss of his head to move some hair from his eyes. They were failry well matched in both swordsmanship and age alike. Though Kieran had the distinct feeling that Malik would have a bit of an edge should magic be in play. Sure Kieran had his own, but it wasn't nearly as nasty as necromany themed magics. A toss of his blade into his left hand, pulling his dagger from its sheath on his armor in the other. A flip of the dagger to be holding it so the blade braced against his wrist as his scimitar was brought to defense once more. "Unlike them, I enjoy this."

Zahara nodded, "Indeed. I'm curious to see such a master craftsman at work." Zahara could feel the same feelings she had for the imps welling up. Broog was...sweet in his own way and she could see herself coming down and visiting him. Maybe he could give her some advice in dealing with Malik. And then again maybe not. But the big puppy dog eyes on such a fearsome creature melted the heart she'd realized she had when the imps had hugged her and showed her fun. "Make me a pretty one Broog, one I can be proud of please."

Malik kept the one blade, and switched style, holding the blade horizontal at the side and bracing it lightly on his other hand. then at it again, catching the scimitar a the hilt, arcing it in that would still cause one masty facial damage, but he knew the dagger woudl defend that. which kept the hand with teh dagger occupied, adn a pbit of pressure kept him in that stalemated position for a jab in teh ribs with his free hand.
Broog was all smiles and nods. and he went to work. Wiring was bent in the general shap of the collar, a leather collar base used to brace it with. then the leather got taken away and hundreds of tiny strips of metal laced over the wires rimming.
"Doos you wants da fullz collar or doos you wants one likes da Mistreezzes?"
Broog looked over at Zahara, one eye incredibly large because there was a magnifiing glass over it.

Indeed dagger came up to keep the balde from striking at his face because that would just really be bad. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew Malik would try to stop such a strike, but accidents happened and Kieran liked his face. Okay, curved blade also worked against him some. And of course pushing back at the hilt on Malik's own sword, indeed held in stalemate for a time. But he wasn't all ignornant of the jab that was intended for his ribs and he merely tensed up, taking the hit with a little noise of slightly knocked air before letting his knees out from under himself and dropping, rolling back away from Malik only to stand again, blade once again raised. Ow...that kinda hurt. "Good shot there Malik."
She watched with a certain childlike fascination. Oh how Kieran would love his...but she got to see it, ha. And then she looked to Zahara at Broog's question as well. This was indeed interesting. Though her hand was still tugging at her own collar.

She debated for a bit though she was watching Broog with a fascinated eye. This was extremely interesting. She might have to come and visit Broog a bit more often. "I want one like Piper's if you don't mind Broog. Make mine pretty but different from hers please. You know something..." what was the word she was looking for. "Feminine but please, please, please, don't put anything to do with Lloth on there. Last thing I need is Malik reminded of that every time he looks at it."

Malik grinned lightly.
"thanks."
Then at it again. Malik woudl have to show speed to counter both kieran's sword and dagger, and often used manuvers that put them in stalemates so that hte dagger was occupied defending some part of anatomy, and usually gave malik a chance to try and hit with his free hand a softer part of Kieran's body. not to say malik didn't often find himself playing dodge the dagger, either.
"Moonelves do have some skill, I'll grant you that."
Holdng his blade as perhaps a human samurai might in front of him with both hands.
"But lets really get a taste of what you can do."
Broog gave a nod and back to work. three strands fo metal left at heach end, teh rest seared through with a knife looking device that was heated to a red titn on one end..and shoved back into the coals he got it from.
then it was straighted and put into a mold, designed for it that had holes at one end and none at the other, and he gave Zahara a look again. then got up, goign behind him and grabbing a bar of metal. it was alot shinier than gold, but had the same general color. gold that had the same sheen as silver.
and it got tossed in a pot that was sitting ont eh coals other tools were stuck in. then he got the locking mechanism out of another container on the shelf. then another, and another. they all looked far to simple to be the right thign by themselves. and setting them together, very carfulling cut into each one, and fit them together in a fashion that probalby only broog and one other being knew about, the cutting interwined the locking mechanishm so only a certain tyoe of key that woudl worlk all three at the same time woudl do it. which is why shen it was fused at the back, it wasn't coming off without being undused.

If anything, Kieran was fast with that dagger, using it where opportunies turned up or in the midst of breaking a sword lock...and place that dagger could get use it did. But when it did at times connect with Malik, it was the flat of the blade of the hilt end that hit...which was the poing of Kieran bracing the blade of the weapon itself back on his wrist. Didn't need any blood spilling accidents now did we? Yet as they backed off from each other once more, he grinned. "We Ithil'quessir pride ourselves on you weapon usage. But very well." His dagger was sheathed back into it's proper home and he let the tip of his blade drop to the ground again, gripping it with both hands this time, putting his feet into stance. And for a moment he watched Malik before his blade tipped scraped the ground with the step he took forward that made into a run, blade arcing diagonally up before being brought to clash aagisnt Malik's own, resulting in the tell tale singing of metal on metal. Again he let momentum so it's work and push the blades down some before a quick strip to the side sent his blade scraping harshly down Malik's and flicking off the end, a wobble in both metals. Pivoting on the ball of his foot he took to a spin as he seemingly switched hands on his swords without ever letting go, bringing around the blade to the back of Malik.
Piper watched with her head tilted to the side. It ineed was quite the fascinating little process. And it made sense why she couldn't get hers off. But she was fine with that...it didn't come off for anything. Eating, sleeping, bathing, sex, nothing. And if she had her way it never would come off unless perhaps her very life depended on it. Even then anyone would have to wrestle her into submission before they got to take it off of her. Another tug, that ever present feeling of being threatened by this all still there. What would they all think? What would Malik think? In fact, what did she really think? Maybe she was just being irrational.

Standing here actually watching her collar being made gave her a mometn to pause and really think about what she was doing. She was willingly submitting to having a collar snapped around her neck. And as Piper had said before this couldn't be taken lightly. This collar wasn't coming off. And watching the way it was fused made that perfectly clear. But what would Malik's reaction be. Would it be an instant tug to pay her back for all those times she'd 'gotten out of line?' Piper still claimed her as her responsibility but Zahara wasn'ts ure if that would matter once Malik was handed exactly what he desired most. Damn, seh couldn't do much but wait it out and see what happened.
