Yuke's eyes widened as the castle began to collapse inwards. He'd just seen his daughter go in there and he sure as hell wasn't letting her die. He took quick account of his grandson's whereabouts, told his wife where he was going, and launched himself towards the castle, in search of Chloe.
Kaya shoved her shoulder against the door in a futile attempt to get out of the room she was trapped in. The hallway outside had collapsed. The room was swaying unsettlingly. It was only a matter of time before she died. Again.
Drais rolled away from Searan, but the larger dragon pinned him, baring his teeth.
Ghost had grabbed Maria and pulled her away from the building as it collapsed. The two were coughing in the dust cloud, and immediately Ghost went off in search of Sora. She had to know he was safe.
Kai and Kapa'a were fine, since Jethrow had put spells on them, but Kai immediately began to panic when Yuke went off into the castle. She glanced around for Hakaru, needing to know where he was.
Diablo was standing off to the side with the boy, Jazz, not knowing what else to do. He vaguely wondered if he should find Myra, and he glanced at the castle nervously.
Maria found her father, and she stood by his side, coughing out dust. "Where's Mom?" she asked.

Lunora continued to dig for her loved ones, trying to at least reach her husband or brother-in-law. She wanted to know Demetri was alright. She needed to know. She couldn't lose him.
Luke looked to Maria when she voiced her question. Where was Kaya? Luke immediately panicked, telling Maria to stay put and out of the way as the wolf raced inside. He had to rescue Kaya. He wasn't going to lose her again.
Sora was far from lucky. He had gotten caught under some rubble that had fallen. One of his legs and wings were pinned and he couldn't pull free. He tried and tried, but he was losing energy and he was starting to feel dizzy.
Myra, luckily, had gone to the gardens today, where she was hiding. All the noises from the fighting was scaring her senseless, so there she sat, curled up in Kaitani's old cave, hoping it'd all end soon.

Anya had been sheltered by an ice wall that Kaitani had thrown up. The dragon was weak and in pain, but he was determined that neither of them would be dying that day. Anya immediately closed her eyes and reached out with her powers, trying to find the injured to help them.
Jethrow had managed to find his brother just before the castle collapsed, but they were both now pinned under the stones. Jethrow was breathing in dust, and he had a bad feeling that there wouldn't be much air left in a bit.
Searan continued to fight Drais, who was struggling to get out of the other dragon's grip. Drais managed to wriggle out, and he went flying away, only for Searan to catch his tail in his teeth and toss him away.
Damian came out of the building, coughing and covered in dust as he staggered. He'd managed to keep himself safe, and he started looking for Mina when he came across his son, trapped. He quickly knelt down by Sora and started to look around. Ghost came across them, then, as well, and she gasped, taking Sora's hands. "Stay awake, please," she whispered, looking around frantically for a sign of Anya.
Drais went flying into the castle again. The top floors collapsed. Kaya jumped back as the door of the room crumbled. And she found the floor tilting. She grasped the window sill in a vain attempt to keep from falling into the abyss that was the remains of the castle. Chloe wasn't so lucky. She fell through a crack just as it appeared, and found herself in a crumbling mess of stones, wood, and a few other people. Stars danced across her eyes as something struck her head and she closed her eyes.

Lunora continued to dig, pulling away stones. Soon she managed to uncover Demetri. This invigorated her, giving her enough strength to dig Jethrow out as well. "Are you two alright?"
Sora only groaned, hearing people's voices. He could feel someone holding his hands and he tried to look to them, but his head was swimming. "Tired...."
Lute was in a panic himself. He had sent all of the animals he had been training over the years to find and dig out buried students. But there was a special one he sent for Chloe. "Apollo! Find her! Find Chloe!" The dog nodded and started to frantically sniff for the girl.

As some of the animals managed to dig Anya and Kaitani out, Anya scrambled away, looking for injured. And she found Ghost and Damian, trying to keep Sora awake. Quickly, she dropped down by her friend as Sora started to slip away. She looked around as Searan landed nearby, getting a glimpse of Anya. His relief flooded through him, and he quickly got what needed to be done. He lifted the rock off of Sora gingerly, then tossed it up in the air at Drais.
Chloe wasn't quite sure if she was awake or not, but she could feel a dull throbbing taking over her head. It started to wane though, and she was tired.
Kaya struggled to hold onto the windowsill. Then, Drais went flying into the wall, and she yelped, as a tremor went through the castle again.
Demetri was knocked out cold, and Jethrow groaned softly, shaking his head. "Bruised, and he's knocked out, but I think he'll be fine."

After a bit of searching, Apollo finally found Chloe, barking to Lute. The boy came running to see his love. He climbed down to where Chloe was and took her into his arms. "Chloe! Chloe, wake up!"
Luke finally found his wife clinging to a windowsill. He tried to keep his footing as the tremor rocked the castle, he then looked back at Kaya. "Kaya! Let go! I'll catch you!"
Sora started to feel his consciousness coming back as he felt the weight lift off his leg and wing. And that's when the pain set him, the boy grasping Ghost's hand, groaning in pain.

Chloe didn't wake up, though she let out a shaky breath as she was taken into Lute's arms. Yuke arrived, then, and frowned. "I'll get Anya."
Anya started to try and heal Sora, but she couldn't do much for the pain. She was weak from taking care of Kaitani, and other students that had been injured. Ghost let Sora hold her hand while she watched Searan and Drais battle in the sky.
Kaya bit her lip, but let go of the windowsill, closing her eyes as she fell.
Maria was standing where her father had told her to be, when Drais had a brilliant idea. His attempts with Kaitani had failed, but he snatched Maria up and dangled her over the ruins of the castle. Attack me and I drop her, he roared, causing Searan to stop. Kaitani glared up at his cousin, but he was too weak to move.
Drais began to shoot ice at the people below him, and Kai and Kapa'a worked to turn it into harmless water before the heavy ice chunks could hurt anyone else.

Lute nodded to Yuke and tried to wait patiently. He tried to rouse Chloe as much as he could, holding her close.
Luke ran up and skillfully caught his wife before seeing Maria gone. And now in the dragon's clutches. The wolf set his desert queen down and went to fend off the ice. His natural element was this frozen water, leaving him in complete control of it, making it stop and build a wall of ice.
Lyori was trying to recover, but she was only barely conscious. But she tried to do one thing. She started to concentrate, trying to get Maria to safety by sending Drais to a far away dimension.

Chloe fought against the darkness that threatened to consume her, but it was strong. She concentrated on the warmth that surrounded her. She couldn't hear, couldn't see.
Kaya glared up at the dragon holding her daughter. Was there something about women in her family being in peril? Apparently.
Kaitani struggled to his feet and roared at his cousin, managing to get himself up to the air and fly at his cousin. He latched his talons into Drais' scales, and created a sort of canopy of his wings so that Maria would fall into them and not into the rubble.
One block of ice struck Kai and Kapa'a before they could turn it into water. Kai was a little dizzy, but fine. Kapa'a, however, looked out cold. Pardon the pun.

Lute tried to shake Chloe awake, trying to keep her conscious. He didn't want to lose her. But Anya was nowhere around. Lute was getting scared. Scared of losing his only love.
Luke was also getting rather annoyed, but he kept trying to concentrate on the ice. His concentration had lapsed for a moment, seeing at it hit Kapa'a hard. So his mind had to stay on the ice to keep it from hurting anyone else.

Anya finished with Sora and stood, as Yuke started to drag her to Chloe. The faerie was tired, and she wasn't sure what she could do.
Jethrow quickly got up, leaving Demetri to Lunora as he tried to get to the other students and organize them. Just as Yuke and Anya approached the castle, it groaned again, causing everyone to stop.
Maria fell into Kaitai's wing. The ice dragon took off, holding her and dropping down on the ground beside Luke. Searan launched himself at Drais, throwing the ice dragon high up in the air.

Lute tried to beg Anya to just hold it together just to heal Chloe. He was willing to do anything just to know Chloe was alright. He was worrying himself sick over this.
Lunora watched over her husband, trying to wake him from his unconsciousness. Of course she looked to the castle as it groaned, grabbing onto Demetri, ready to run if necessary.

Anya tried her best, kneeling beside Lute and Chloe and putting her hands on Chloe. But even her own vision was starting to swim. Yuke tried to help her, as well, but she only managed to repair some of Chloe's internal bleeding before the last tall tower of the castle began to crumble towards them. Drais scrambled to fly away, but Searan again caught him, pinning him to the ground and snapping his teeth.
Demetri shifted a little, letting Lunora know he was alive. Jethrow quickly started yelling for everyone to run for the town. The castle was coming down once and for all.

Lunora helped her husband to his feet, putting one of his arms around her shoulders as she got her pack to help direct the students and pick up any stragglers. Members even picked up Lute, Chloe, Yuke, and Anya before following the rest of the group. And she had them run for town. Lunora had to hand off her husband before going into the crumbling structure. She had to make sure the Master of the castle had gotten out, or if he needed help.

The only two left at the castle were Drais and Searan, who were wrestling on the ground, snapping their teeth at each other. Then, as Lunora approached, a strange thing happened. A black mist covered the castle, holding the ruins where they were. Then, they began to reconstruct themselves, building upon themselves. A figure stood just a few feet from Lunora. And he was....shrinking? Yes, the old Master of the castle was loosing his energy as he worked to restore the castle. By the time he was done, he no longer looked as old as he once had. His long white beard was trimmed and black again. His wrinkles were diminished. His body was no longer hunched and creaky.
