I care not for New Year's celebrations. I only mildly enjoy alcohol and rarely, I can't stand loud music and raucous parties with drunkards.
I'm looking forward to AFTER New Year, I have an interview at the local Hospital on the 2nd of January. I'm excited as it's exactly what I wanted in the way of work, so I really hope I get it! surprised heart

I'll be spending my new year evening home with my boyfriend and few of our friends, sitting, talking and watching fireworks. Our livingroom window is a perfect firework sighting window because we live on the top floor window facing most of the city. 3nodding I hate going to bars and clubs in new years evening so I'm gonna stay home the whole day. Too many drunken people with fireworks going around in the city so it's safest to just stay home.

We've been saving to go visit our friends, they live about 4 hours north of us. But now we can't go because I'm awful sick and we've been planning this for months! crying gonk sweatdrop cry
But your right, it's better just to stay safe and stay home. Plus today is the last day I get to work on my paper before I have to turn it in and it's nowhere near ready (I got an extension).
@Chica Lana- That's awful, I hate people who treat their kids like that, but I have to speak up. We were on the road and stopped at a Denny's for a driving break and some grub and as soon as we were in the door you hear this screaming. I went into the girl's bathroom to wash up and found that's where it was coming from. This little girl, no more than four, had the door open and was screaming for her mom and dad, "It won't come out!" It took me awhile to find out which table she was at and for like 20 minutes her dad just sat there and acted like nothing while the whole restaurant could hear here screaming for him. Then he finally gets up, takes her into the guys bathroom, spanking her all the way. Her little butt must have already been hurting so bad and he's spanking her!?!? No wonder she's got so much poddy pain and problems at four, the only thing they probably feed her is hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwhiches, no fruit or veggies. I wanted to kill him, I even started crying for that poor little girl. Talk about neglect followed by abuse... sad

I'm going to party with my neighbors! It's perfect because it's just a couple of families with kids the same age. The kids can play with each other and the adults can hang out and eat good food and drink and not worry about having to drive. To go home it's just a very short walk (or roll depending how much food we eat lol) across the cul-de-sac.

It always makes me wonder - if they feel comfortable treating their kids like that in public what do they do at home when nobody is watching?

That poor girl cry
Driving anywhere for New Year's is risky. My friend only live 3 miles away, but I'll be careful.

That poor little girl. I feel like beating adults like that to see how they like it. Where are the cops when you need them? Oh yeah, pulling innocent people like me over. Grr... scream
We are staying in for New Year's Eve as well. First of all its too cold, second there are too many drunks and cops on the road, third we can never find a sitter. Oh well, at least I know I'll get a kiss from someone at midnight. whee

I really feel sorry for little kids like that, I always say if you don't want them don't make them or give them up to someone else who does.
My New Years is looking very bleek, we don't go anywhere for New Years, we do nothing...not even a little bubbly sad

Tha Chica Lana mrgreen Its ok Sagi I know you weren't referring to my mother. I know what you mean about ppl who shouldn't have kids, we were in the clinic for my niece to get her shots and this girl I say girl cuz thats how she acted even though she might be around 24 years, well she had 3 kids and her boyfriend and I'm assuming that he's the father of the kids, one of the kids were playing around and he just grabbed the little boy and told him "I thought I told you not to the that F&*^!" I was so shocked, she didn't even say anything to him, I don't like to judge ppl but that was not the right kind of language to talk to little kids. eek that was so not nice, it may warrant a turnover of custody to the social welfare! i don't want to judge but oh, what horror it must be inside their home! those poor kids! i don't want to say this but i really dislike people who make children they can't raise well. they should be financially, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually prepared for the task. i hate seeing street kids accompanied by parents in begging... it makes me wanna go up to the parents and tell them to either go back to their province or surrender the kids to the social welfare department. scream

It amused my father to watch me use MSN messenger and write my messages instead of type them and thanks.
