Hearing him talk sharply to her new found friend, she felt a little intimidated to step forward. Carfully collecting herself, she steped forward, ready to introduce herself, hoping the captain would notice her at the turn of his head.

*Tired though he was, Kurisutofa trudged onward, but as he did so he noticed that he heard only a few foot steps behind him. Stopping where he stood, he turned on his heel sharply and looked to the Guncrew and to Miss Ares.
The Ship's Company was still chatting to themselves and joking amongst one another about the manner of which she had approached their commander and chief and the shrieky voice that had eminated out of the odd woman. Taking this as a sign that God had decided to send them entertainment, they had begun to discuss the matter of coming up with a harsh nickname for Toulon's out-of-work accountant.
After names had flown about, the virtues of her mother had been brought into question & what mystical demons might fit her description, they looked at Kurisutofa with inquizitive looks upon their faces. Some raised eyebrowls were thrown in his direction as if to ask 'what ya' got?'
"Your asking me? Oh no, I'm staying out of this one."
*Turning to the up-until-now silent Ares next to him...*
"What say you, Master Gunner? Your Guncrew awaits..."

For the first time since the siege began, the good doctor found himself with nothing to do. While he didn't mind at first, now that he had been busy for quite some time he found himself extremely lost. He had no tasks before him so he was lost. he didn't even realize it, but he had slid off of the portside rail on which he had been sitting, and was now sitting directly on the deck with his back to the railing, where he dozed off.

*she looks at the Captain, fairly surprised, as she had zoned out a bit in the conversation.* What? Oh....I don't now quite yet. I'm sure we can think of something... *she turns to her cuncrew especially* If these scallywags can't think of anything, I don't know who can...

Destiny had fallen asleep in her hammock, rocked by the waves and lulled by the sound of the sea against the hull. After a few hours, finally she woke up to realize that she needed to begin the lunch preperations. As ship's cook, she took her position very seriously, and tried to live up to the Captain's expectations. * continued in the galley thread*

A blast off a swivel gun announced the return of the Rescue, and Dr. Morgan looked up from his place on the roof. The flag flying proudly over the stern made him smile- after all, he'd sewn it himself. The storm had taken it's toll on the ship but overall it was not much the worse for wear.
The doctor groaned as he stood up. It was probably a bad idea to have spent the night out in the rain, but he had enjoyed it, though his bones were complaining of the adventure already. A bit of moving about and he'd be good as new. Sort of.
As the ship swung its way into port under the able command of the boatswain *grumble* , Dr. Morgan set off to where he assumed Captain Kurisutofa to be. He had heard mention of cannons, so the naval yard would be the obvious place to go. Perhaps the Captain would have an interest in what he had found.

*Jaden stopped short as she heard the Captain speak to her again whilest turned toward Miss Beufont. She watched the back of the Captain's head intently, as if she were looking directly at the Captain, face to face.*
"Y-yes Captain... right away..." blinking a few times and without thinking, she nodded curtly and started to adjust her bag to go aboard with the lady he was speaking to.
*The Captain turned to relay another message and she stopped cold, only turning to acknowledge she was listening. Again, she found herself asked to perform another task for the the good of the ship. Nodding quickly, she walked over to Miss Beufont before saying anything.*
"Aye Captain... I will see to it that refreshments are brought to the crew as soon as possible...." she turned to Miss Beufont as the Captain stated she come and assist her in her duties.
*The last part of the Captain's orders made her go a little numb. She was to report to him when she had finished, to see about her joining the ship's company. Was she finally going to be accepted aboard the ship after her little fiasco? She didn't know, and was now worried to know of the outcome herself.
After the Captain curtly welcomed Miss Beufont aboard the ship, Jaden grabbed her bag as well and started for the gangplank. She stopped a bit away from her before speaking.*
"Oyi!... Miss Beufont... Let's get you aboard and get refreshments to the company... I don't want them throwing us over for not getting food to them as quickly as possible..." she said, lugging the bag she picked up from Miss Beufont, as she half smiled under the weight of the two parcels now upon her back.
*She strode up the plank and to the quarterdeck as she awaited Miss Beufont to accompany her below deck to see which bunk she desired. She began to think of everything she needed to do once more before she was to find the Captain again.*

Syn eyed Jaden for a moment, her mouth twisted into an ironic little smile. "Aye aye. And it's Beumont, not Beufont." She seemed amused, not miffed, by the little slip up in her name. If the captain had misheard her and repeated her wrong, of course the entire crew would call her the same. Didn't matter. She took her parcel and went on board, following Jaden down to the bunks. Before she did, however, she stopped at the rail of the ship and hollered back at the shore, "Ahoy! Lady Malaria!" Doing a sarcastic little twist on the woman's name. "C'mon now, step quickly to state your business to the Cap'n!" With that, she twirled around to grin at Jaden. "Alright, lass." Being a little sassy, perhaps? It was just the way she was, she did have respect for the right people. Namely, the Captain. And anyone he told her to have respect for. Tuslo crouched lower on her shoulder, staring at Jaden with beady little eyes. She patted the macaw once, making a note to get that certificate that the bank had given her so she wouldn't be in charge of food for very long and instead be where she was needed; as a Purser. Of course, she had to find the Captain first.

Looking flustered as the strange woman called out her name, she did as was commanded. Gathering her currage, she stepped into the view of the captain to state her business.
"Captain, I was wondering if you knew of someone who used to captain this ship years ago. He was the finest captain and man I knew and I would know of what has come of him so that I might find and reunite with him."

(( From Medical Deck. ))
The girl slowly emerged from the darker lower decks, being bathed in whatever natural light was available at the time as she stepped out from the stairwell and closed the door behind her. Due to the sudden burst of light against her eyes, the expression upon her face would contort a bit. The tip of her nose would then wrinkle, her hands lifting as she leant forward a bit and sneezed softly against her palm (Trademark trick, haven't done it in months). As soon as the sneeze left Nyssa's nose, her entire form would disappear with a soft popping sound. Moments later she would then reappear standing center-deck close to the mast. Blinking a bit, she would lift her hands up and rub at the tip of her nose.
She felt slightly awkward being amongst this crew. Jon and Kubain weren't around for her to bug; the majority of the original crew had vanished leaving room for these new crew members to take their places. Such a change caused unease to set in amongst the girl's normal easy-going demeanor, though some familiar faces still remained on deck, bringing some sense of comfort to her. Sniffling a bit, she would then slip her hands down along her skirt, smoothing out some of the creases as she began to walk around. Her grandfather was busy, as always, and she found no need to really bother him more than what he already had to handle, though his company would be appreciated at some point in time whenever the hustle and bustle of the ship; along with the questions and requests and other things of the sort, were handled and done.
While waiting for things around the ship to quiet down, Nys' began to walk around deck again, her bare feet making soft padding sounds against the boards of the deck as she slipped her hands behind herself, grabbing her left hand with that of her right and allowing the two extremities to hang down by her bum as she walked along, her ankle bracelete jingling softly as she wandered. Not much had changed, physically, about the Lady though some changes were made, which would take some time for her to adjust to, but everything would fall into it's rightful place in due time... In due time.

*Jaden rubbed the back of her neck as she winced slightly at the correction of Beumont's name.*
"Ungh... sorry about that... I was only listening to the Captain... I hadn't heard you say your name, just him, Miss Beumont." She again, rubbed the back of her neck and then pushed a few stray curls of auburn hair out of her face.
*She quietly brought Beumont and her bag to the small area of bunks. She laid Miss Beumont's bag beside the foot of one of the lower bunks as she started to pull her own bag off her back. Jaden looked around for a bit before smiling a little to herself and threw her bag into one of the smaller upper bunks. She didn't need a lot of space. Mainly, because she didn't have a lot of items, save for the bag that she picked up in town with items from Madam Mimfry's shop during the storm.
She stretched a little after choosing a bunk and looked to Miss Beumont.*
"Well, how about we hit that galley and see if we can bring out lemonade and cake for the crew while Miss Destiny prepares the lunch.... We'll have to go in for a moment then pop back up with items for the crew..." She smiled a little as she thought about sneeking a peek into the Medical deck to see if the good Doctor was around.
*Jaden and the Doctor had parted ways upon the return to the dock. He had to resupply the ship with medicinal potions and bandages, while her fate was still in the hands of the Captain. She thought about things in a vague state of mind, as she and Miss Beumont made their way to the Galley. Just before entering, she turned to speak to the girl, and instead, got a face full of beady eyes and ruffled feathers that seemed to break her train of thought: Miss Beumont's bird did not seem too enamoured of her.*

Easily locating her bunk - she had a mind like a map - she started to fish through her one bit of luggage, which contained a whole variety of objects, from a few changes of clothes to food for Tuslo. After only a short time of searching, she located what she sought. "Ah! Perfect." She held up the proof of her skills that the bank had given to her, only a day before the building burned down. Of course, it said a few other things as well. Of course, hers was different from normal certificates, due to special.... circumstances. The sides of the paper were burned here and there, only barely salvaged from the ruins before everything went up in smoke.
It read as follows:
Certificate of Skills and Other Things of Notation
Issued to: Syn De Beumont
Position: Head Teller in the Royale Bank of Toulon
Skills: Quite good with numbers and accounting, quick thinking, memorizes everything almost immediately, and is very agile.
Things Which Might Be a Problem: While she is quick witted, she doesn't stop to think over what she says and usually speaks whatever is on her mind. Has a tendency to be sarcastic or uppity. She should be watched carefully because of her fascination with pirates.
And all of this was before she became just a tiny bit insane. She chuckled to herself and rolled it up carefully, hurrying back to the main deck so she could locate the captain and give this to him. Noticing Maleria speaking to the captain, she quickly walked in her direction, standing beside the woman to wait her turn. Sarcastic she could be, but she always had a bizarre twist of politeness to herself. Tuslo stared at Maleria's dark hair as if he would like to eat it.

"Malaria? As in the disea.."
*Turning around to the voice that had beckoned to him from the side of the road, he is brought to having to stop his rashness midsentence*
"...seh."
*In the little amount of time he had allowed himself ashore thus far, Kurisutofa had not once come close to having thought of the mysterious woman that he had seen from the quarterdeck of the 'Lady Washington'. Yet, before he was able to begin his search, it had come to an end. Right before his eyes, there she stood, in all her glory. Dressed as if she had returned from a grand ball of the utter most importence, she had an essence that almost glowed and left you feeling as if you had been gazing at the moon.
Remembering himself, he shook it off and placed it in the back of his mind. She had asked him a question. 'I should answer it, not stand here looking a fool', he thought to himself. Quickly, his face changed from that of sterness to a friendly outter demener. His face grew rosy and his face formed a smile, of which had not shown itself for quite sometime.*
"Oh, I do so very beg your pardon. I didn't mean to be so tactless. Of course your name isn't that of the disease. That's.. nonsense... isn't it? Oh dear...
*Shrugging off the upset frusteration that had over come him, he tries to save grace and raise himself from the depths of embarrasment & inner self-dislike.*
.. So, it's a former captain your in search of, is it? Might this man be a relation of yours? Grandfather, Brother, a Jolly Good Friend, perhaps? It's been quite sometime since ownership & captaincy of the 'Lady' has switched hands. Therefore, I find it rather hard to believe that he ever sailed upon this ship ranked as 'Captain'.
Might he have a name, my dear? I'd be more than happy to look it up in any of the muster books & past records. If he ever booked passage, was employed upon or has even stepped foot upon the 'Lady', his name shall be listed there..."
*It had indeed been a very long time since the Lady had sailed under a different master. Decades upon Centuries...*
