Missing nin Itachi Ral Roke Agreed Rock should be the last third party if there is one. I wish I could use a character from Nintendo's War series but there isn't enough consistency to get one. And it's hard to take out a character from a strategy game as well They did it with Fire Emblem... Fire Emblem you can consider to be enough of an RPG though. It has a main plot and lead characters. Fire Emblem has a lot more story and character development than the Wars series.

Blues is a personal favorite of mine, but you could never play as him in a main games of the series.

Oh yeah and Master Chief has never been on a Nintendo system ever. They specifically stated that the character has to have been on a Nintendo platform before.

Ya know technicaly speaking If Megaman did come in he would be the fifth third party character because of the Rare split.

Daniel-san, the Karate Kid.
Back in the NES days I played Karate Kid all the time, never could beat it though. Keep in mind I was maybe 5-7.

No Donkey Kong is owned by Nintendo as is Diddy. In fact all of the Kongs belong to Nintendo. Rare, I think, kept the rights to everything else though, including the villains.
